The after credit scene is always animated with the silliest face. Hilarious when you consider that's where Victor started to fall in love.😂
So yeah, love the episode that lets the characters do a bit more breathing off the ice. I also like getting to know more of them and their interactions with each other.
Seeing Yurio be semi-terrified of his own fans is always worth his bad attitude. His character is interesting because they do a great job showing the simple-minded aspect of adolescence while also giving him complex relationships and motivations. Otabek is a great foil for him. He's close to his age, serious like him, same interests, but at the same time has a completely different personality and perspective.
Victor and Yuri... continue to ALMOST be on the same page. Poor things.
Victor, we can see in the photos, watched Yuri as his coach never checked in on him while he was clearly in distress. If you go back, you can see he has his eye on Yuri in every picture and flashback. He was so excited when he got to Japan. He had no clue Yuri didn't remember asking him to come stay and coach him. Or that he flirted with him half-naked. Suddenly, he realized when Yuri said he had no recollection of the banquet, that he must have looked like a crazy person showing up out of nowhere, demanding to coach him, and more or less clinging to Yuri every extra second. Yuri, meanwhile, bless him, has spent the last year not looking gift horses in their mouths. 😅
It's worth pointing out that despite how messy it started, they're both very serious and invested in their relationship and it's future. It's a small detail, but you can see that they push their beds together. Also, no matter how you look at it, giving a ring to someone under church bells is inherently romantic and clearly a sign of intent. As a bonus, the creator revealed that the inside of their rings each share half of a snowflake design that completes when the rings are stacked together. Too precious for words. ❤
I can't wait to hear your opinions on the next two episodes! I'm ready for the rollercoaster!
    🩷💛💙

This episode was HUGEEE for a lot of people, including me. NOBODY could've predicted that they'd straight up get engagement rings in the series. It was so scarce for an anime that's predominantly a sports anime to have such a blatant and positive perception and story of a queer couple-- as the main leads no less!
Anyway, I do agree that this episode is so enjoyable because all the competitors that we've seen so far is literally just, well, hanging out. It's very easy to just leave them as rivals and no more, but this reminds us that they're people, too. Like how we see Otabek and Yurio's interaction in this episode. I feel like that's the first time we've seen Yurio so unguarded around somebody that's not his grandpa.
The end credits scene puts a lot into perspective! I remember when I first watched this anime, I thought Victor could use a lesson or two on people's boundaries in the first few episodes, lol. He was very fast in becoming Yuri's coach, seemingly out of nowhere, and very close and touchy towards Yuri, who we thought he'd just met (outside of competition). But the end credits revealed that they HAD met before, Yuri was the touchy one and he straight up asked Victor to be his coach! I remember seeing a joke from someone from somewhere about it; "Yuri's focused on his sports anime moment, while Victor is wondering why this romance anime is going so slow" or something like that, haha. Glad you enjoyed the episode, and thank you for the reaction video as always! :)

I love how this episode completely reframes everything we have seen before. We know why Victor decided to coach Yuri, what put the idea in his head. It also reframes the Eros Program as well.

very nice break episode where you see how everyone lives their life outside of skating. i think phichit would be fun to hang out with
nice to finally have a long viktor pov
the engagement! so that made everyone freak out back when it first aired. the church, the rings, the atmosphere, so good
and finally the ED with the photos of the banquet and the big plot twist of the show! Viktor came to be Yuuri's coach because Yuuri had asked him to at the banquet! This whole time Viktor thought Yuuri remembered the banquet, but instead Yuuri didn't remember anything and from his (and the viewers') pov, Viktor just went from not recognizing Yuuri to enthusiastically wanting to be with him after watching a single video lmaooo
it explains why Viktor had little to no concept of personal space now that we know his impression of Yuuri was him being wild and drunk and clingy at the banquet

This is one of my favorite episodes in anything, really, and I’m so glad you’ve made it this far.
The scene with Yuri drunk at the banquet in particular stands out to me, and not just because it hilarious. Eros was meant to be VICTORS routine telling VICTORS love story ABOUT Yuri. The whole time, we think victor is the playboy in the dance’s story- the gorgeous man who seeks out the most beautiful man in town (Yuri, japans top skater), only to cast him off (for yurio at the end of the season. But the whole time YURI WAS THE PLAYBOY. He danced with victor, (most successful skater ever in yoi) invited him to coach him, and then, from victor pov, completely cast him aside: he refused a comemerative photo in ep 1, Didn’t contact victor other than posting a video of stand by me routine, and denied all of victors attempts at flirting. Eros was about Yuri, and that just completely changed victors charcter.
Also Yuri pole dancing with Chris is funny af

Barcelona's a great place, been there a bunch of times. You will never get Park Guell as empty as it is when Yurio and Otabek are there though, the place is always heaving!!

And this is where we find out that Yuri is an extremely unreliable narrator! 😂 We had no idea he did all that because he'd forgotten himself. And it totally explains Viktor's incredibly forward behavior when he first arrives in Japan. Poor guy thought he'd been cast aside, then Yuri posted that video, so he DID go to Japan to be his coach. And suddenly Yuri is the most timid person ever around him. I can't imagine how confusing it must have been 😂 I loved how in this episode it called back to when he and Yuri spoke on the beach in Japan and he said something about when he first arrived, the seagulls reminded him of St. Petersburg. And this episode Yurio says like "It reminds you of the beach in Hasetsu yeah?" and Viktor has this look on his face. Like Japan really has become another home for him.
