- Lance Cpl. Richard Lin discusses his first experience aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), Feb. 2, 2018, in support of Exercise Cobra Gold 2018. Lin, a Canton, Michigan native and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear specialist is assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. I remember the good times when boots hated ship life. This guy seems to be having a good time.
That's cuz Marines don't do anything on Navy ships except eat,sleep, hog up the gym/laundry rooms and make the chow lines longer.
But, how many marines are usually on an aircraft carrier?
Zero for the most part unless they host a Marine airwing.

Shit, pup tents went out in Korea 1950's in the Infantry. Poncho plus liner if needed and roll up. In the wet muddy ground. I know, I did that for 6 years. Better than on a ship for sure, in my opinion.

Mick Funny your right, until you need a the Chemical POG if you come under attack with Chemical Weapons. Ask Marines from Desert Storm who came in contact with Mustard Gas. They welcomed the Chemical POGs.
