Because I am not a professional at this I looked at how I could do this myself when I had one room which needed new panels put up. In the end I ended up hiring a professional to install the panels and do the rest of the work needed to straighten up the damaged area.

I bought one of these rigs last year as I'm lowering the ceiling heights (all nu joists etc.) to a std. 8' high.. its an old stone cottage here on the west coast of Ireland & working alone is a bitch at times...
    Cost me €160...
Once the drywalls done , I needed to...
    Re-wire...
    Re-plumb...
    Install "wet" central heating...
    Re-slated roof...
    Yada Yada Yada ...
There ain't nothing like learning on the job ... & a builder friend oversees my DIY efforts...
    😎😎😎😎
BTW I also used the rig to raise 2 steel box beams... just 80mm square × 3mm thick on a 12'span so not overly heavy.. the lift worked like a charm 🙄🙄

Home Depot would have delivered for a dollar a sheet but no........the company I worked for wasn’t going to pay that. Instead they sent me and a helper to go to Home Depot pickup drywall and the mud and tape, drive to the house and unload it. Took us all day with driving, unloading and driving back.@ $50.00 an hour for both of us. $450.00 BBD (Brilliant business decision).

if you start with the sheet on the floor, then just lean the top onto the hook, then pick up the bottom of the sheet allowing it to pivot in the arms, you never have to pick up the whole sheet. I just did it on my project. I really didn’t want to pick up a 75 pound sheet. The hooks are at the right height to do this, just position it correctly and lock the wheels.

Any help on how to install dry wall for a raked ceiling? The ceiling is obviously longer on the angle than at ground level
The rake is also the opposite angle to the angle of the lifter.

Question. Does it matter if you do the walls first then the ceiling? Or vise versa? Thanks!

Should my garage failing have cross beams? What you were drilling the drywall into I do not have in my ceiling.

I've got a 36 foot bulkhead roughly 6 feet wide. Which direction would you run the drywall. Thanks

Do we need to use 4x2 lumber to hold the dry wall at the top? Or can we use any other small ones( like 2X1s)

I have vaulted the ceiling in my bathroom to follow the slope of the roof which is 20 degrees. I need to put a 1200x3300mm sheet up on the slope. Can you lock the lift at an angle to use it for this situation? It looked as though it was either flat or at the loading slope only and that the tilt head didn't have a lock for different angles?

What about a ceiling with a 5/12 pitch (Sheeting scissor trusses) you need those arms that hold the sheet from sliding off . Problem is you cannot butt the sheets of drywall up against each other because they are in the way?

Usually, However we covered spray foam for afety right after application. The fact is the ceiling is held up by the screws and the joint will not suffer any cracks or damage due to this application. We only covered a few outside walls first.
