Walker getting a title shot off of beating you is not the same as Vorey getting shot off of beating Walker. Walker was getting a huge jump up the rankings and he had the hype. Corey was fighting a low ranked Walker and beating him was not going to transfer Walker's hype on to Corey. Jan vs Corey 2 was the perfect #1 contender match.

I will say ufc put him through a lot plus the whole pregnant wife situation with the last minute switch that they only did for Jones. I wanted him to be the one to take the title not gonna lie it would’ve been a fucking amazing story
Corey is underrated and talented but I really doubt he was going to beat Jan on that night.
I remember when he fought Jimi Manuwa and he tried to take Manuwa down and Manuwa stuffed the shot and I remember seeing the shock on Corey's face coz he knew he was about to get Knocked out and he tried to shoot again but Manuwa stuffed it again and landed a bomb and made Corey's toes curl.
