This is honestly incredibly validating to come back to long after my time in the Homestuck fandom. I shipped Dave and John from the beginning, and I never really got the confirmation I desired. I stopped caring about it years ago, but it's nice to stumble upon this and see Dave portrayed as the gay mess I always knew he was. I feel slightly more whole now. Thanks Pesterquest.
