No, listen. I had a bad feeling about this route after seeing how Fozzer keeps calling us "comrade".
If any of you have read 1984, you would know that it's a "dystopia" sort of book that heavily references World War II themes. And in that society, you were supposed to call everyone "comrade". There is also a clear distinction between the higher class and the working class (the latter of which takes up the majority and could probably overthrow the higher class, but are quite frankly too dumb to know to do that). I'm gonna start talking about spoilery things after this sentence, so be warned. Anyway, the gist of it is that the protagonist tries to overthrow the government (or The Party) because it's terrible and restrictive (and there is almost no privacy, every room and street is monitored). However, doing so gets him caught, and by the end of the book he has completely turned away from his former ideals and has completely agreed with the government's ideals.
Anyway, here's the list of things I found in this:
- Frequent use of the word "Comrade" (1984)
- "Truth will set you free" (1984) the "truth" often times being propaganda
- "Freedom, brotherhood, and equality" has a similar vibe to the motto/slogan of Brave New World, another dystopia book (even though the words are completely different)
- Use of the word "Proletarian" (meaning the working class), which is often used in reference to Marxism
- The fact that in the first timeline, Fozzer favors rebellion, and in the second timeline, he favors the Empire; this is similar to the end of 1984.
- Note that the Condesce has been referred to as Sea Hitler more than once.
My apologies if this has become an English class analysis, it's just something I found really suspicious about this whole route...

Well, just before that, apparently the player knows a highblood named Karkat Pierot, so it's not entirely impossible for that Karkat to be the one called Vantas in the story of homestuck, should the entirety of Friendsim occur before a scratch.
Although honestly, the Friendsim seems to acknowledge your ability to see the outcomes of your choices, seeing as how it was stated a few chapters ago that they have died a few times.

this route is the most unsettling by far. the music really set the tone. i feel so weird. i'm like, lowkey depressed now.
This and a few of the other routes are so fucking disturbing. Like something deep inside of me twists whenever i hear about the trolls getting drafted into essentially blood-for-oil wars, but there’s something so deeply WRONG about watching this poor troll-Antifa get zapped into submission it makes me want to throw up

I know I’ve been here before, but this route gave me a bad feeling about something happening to Tyzias. I can only assume that the reason Fozzer got nixed is was because he was actually going to start a successful rebellion, or at least plant the seed of one. This makes me feel like either Tyzias is doomed to fail, or she’s going to be scratched too.
Both of these would kill me, for the love of god I just want this story to have a happy ending both for Tyzias and all of Alternia. But this is Hussie so I guess I can keep dreaming.
Also, Fozzer bears a little bit of resemblance to The Signless? The nubby horns are a little too similar to be just a coincidence. Plus a bit later they mention Karkat, which is also a pretty serious mention for the Signless line.

AlexDraws its not that he wants it to go well, but maybe tyzias would set off a chain of events or otherwise do something that fozzer could never achieve
one of scratch’s goals is for the beta trolls to play the game and bring about lord english’s existence, iirc. tyzias knows way more about the ancestors than anyone else and could aid their survival if hiveswap does in fact take place right before they land.
fozzer’s revolution might not serve this goal at all or even derail it entirely if it happened, maybe that’s why he was scratched

Yaknow, since it was pretty much confirmed that MC served as a vessel for Doc Scratch, does it mean that Doc was able to identify Fozzer and mix him up because of MC? Is doc scratch going to mess with all our friends who happen to have any form of revolutionary ideals like daraya or tyzias? Or did he just mess with Fozzer because his ideology was stronger
From MSPA Reader’s achievements, it appears that he isn’t trying to snuff out rebellion, he’s trying to cause it, maybe in a particular way.

This is the most unsettling route for sure, but I think Doc Scratch did what his name implies to protect the Reader from getting killed in a rebellion that would have involved them, even if it would be unsuccessful
