But, when he looked into lil cals eyes, its pretty directly implied that he gets somehow possesed by the demonic entity . Its even shown that the only reason Dirk didnt turn out like Bro Strider is because he didnt have Lil Cal. Basically, Cal was the factor that made Gamzee comitt violence he otherwise wouldnt have comitted, you can even tell its not him speaking when hes possesed because he doesnt use his typing quirk anymore.

it'd honestly be hard for me to say i dislike gamzee because sober gamzee's rampage is just so hard to rationalize
like, high or not, stoned gamzee tries to be kind and he clearly cares about a lot of people, and that doesn't just come as the result of being stoned as hell - his kindness has to come from _somewhere_ and he can't just be an awful monster who was somehow subdued into a nice kid from being stoned off his mind
i guess it honestly feels impossible to believe that the gamzee this volume and homestuck's story start on is a bad person who doesn't want his friends to be happy, and it makes me feel horrible thinking just how badly his mind must've broken coming off of the sopor after being high his whole life, and wondering how much of him going completely berserk was him just being unable to process the state of the planet he's on or his grief over his lusus or maybe even anger over how nobody in the group really seemed to ever like him, and how much of it was english's influence in some form
as tragic as it feels like gamzee is the more you try and think about it, i think it becomes more and more terrifying as well

Obviously there was no way this wasn't gonna be the bad ending, having Gamzee get evil. I wish they didn't make it seem as simple though, in Homestuck it was a mixture of things,Gamzee was shown to be a bit more serious and annoyed when off the slime, however he didn't show any signs of wanting to murder until the added ICP Video and staring into the eyes of Lil Cal, who is literately Lord English's Influence at Peak. In this it feels like they didn't really show that at all, I mean maybe the line about "He spoke to me" means that somewhere along the weeks that you leave he comes across some influence of LE, but still, this is something that really sucks about newer content, there is nothing good for Gamzee, hell even his Candy Version, who actively tries to be a better person gets murdered. It sucks hella.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's because he's a purpleblood, and the descendant of the grand highblood at that. That is to say, his "murder mode" is the "default setting", if you get what I mean. The pies were the only thing keeping him as the chill, nice Gamzee he "normally" is. Without them, he kills everyone, just like a proper highblood.

when I played Gamzee's part of Pesterquest, I shared the pie with him. I know drugs are bad for you, and Sopor Pie is essentially a Troll drug, but considering the alternative to not having the pie with him, I accepted his offer to have some, as I considered it for the greater good.
