How to set up a simple bin to grow your own European Nightcrawlers for fishing bait.

Today I am going to show you to set up your own worm bin to raise European Night Crawlers for bait. This is how I do it and it is a simple DIY build. The only thing needed is a tote, peat moss, garden lime, and some cardboard. This will work with any composting worm, but works especially well with red wigglers and european night crawlers. African nightcrawlers tend to like a conditions a little bit drier if you want to do this with them. Please let me know what you think of my build and reach out with any questions that you have.

Great video. Very similar to how I make bedding for my euros. One suggestion that I would add for those using "worm chow" is to only feed on the surface. Just sprinkle the feed on the surface and gently scratch it into the top 1/8" of bedding then mist with water to moisten it. This will prevent your feed from clumping which makes it easier for the worms to eat it.

Worms don’t eat peat moss nor coco coir .. that’s why they get angry at you if you don’t feed them 😊👍🏽

Just bought a pound of European nightcrawlers and I put some dirt and some moist newspaper in there shred it up a little bit of coffee grounds and then I found your video so now I’m off to get some Pete Moss and luckily we have chicken so I have chicken food do I need to throw it in the blender? They’re not telling us it’s just I don’t know Chicken food I guess they call it crumble and I haven’t put any food in there for two weeks so I don’t get my ass moving thanks for the video
