  • This tutorial video will guide the viewer on how to design a combined footing that supports tied columns. It starts from calculating preliminary size in order to achieve soil pressure, then followed by analyzing critical shear and bending moment.
    Finally, once critical stresses Vmax and Mmax are calculated, next step are sizing of footing thickness plus the required rebars along main axis.
    Have fun watching and learn!

    Sir lodi, 3units of footing magkakalapit (space lng nila in between 0.40m) need ba maging combined footing. And nakatop and bottom rebars po sya? Thank you po. Newly follower nyo po.

      Okay lang maging isolated, but for convinience in construction you can combine them together. Thanks

    Sir quick question lang po. Kailangan pa rin ba mgkarron ng tie footing sa low rise building say ground pius 1 floor or plus 2 floor? Salamat po sire. More power sa channel ninyo.

      Hindi mo kailangan ng tie beam kung shallow footing. Standard depth 1.20m
      Isa pa, nag lalagay lang tayo ng tie beam kung mataas yung ground to second floor para hindi slender yung column. Standard height 3.00m

    sir usually ba walang moment nagooccur sa footing design? kasi lahat ng theoretical computations is axial loading lang and samples

    Good day good sir, have you ever encountered a corner combined footing? Okay po ba ang ganun na footing sa actual?

    • @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633
      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes it happens when building is constructed along property line.
      Eccentric footing, we can reduce eccentricity by providing tie beam.

    sir what if theres bending moment present came from column?

    • @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633
      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Bending from column will be partially absorb by footing, that means you have to add that effect in your point load. Thanks

    Good day po! Kailangan po ba mag moment from left hand side at right hand side para po sa moment diagram or kung saan lang po pinakamalapit yung lever arm dun lang po tayo mag momoment?

      You can choose in either left or right hand side, whichever is easier to perform the equation. Thanks
