I also added RAM (32GB DDR4 SODIMM) to a Precision 7750 and left the RAM under the keyboard too (8GB DDR4 SODIMM). Total 40GB RAM. BIOS claims it is running in dual channel mode. Of course this setup is called Intel Flex Channel and that means that in my case actually 8GB of the 8GB stick is running in dual channel; 8GB of the 32GB stick is running in dual channel; and 24GB of the 32GB stick is running single channel. For a total of 16GB running in dual channel and 24GB running in single channel. :) This is still faster and more total space that if I had taken the 8GB stick out. Hi. thanks for the video... which nvme ssd slot is the one used first by dell? Is it the one in the centre? Are the ones in the bottom left empty to start with?
Hi. I am using the same device. I have Xeon w10885m and 2x8gb ecc ram. Will it be a problem if I remove the existing memory and use 4x16gb non-ecc ram? Is it necessary to have Ecc ram for Xeon processor?

I had the same problem with one Corsair SSD model type. When I added it to certain SSD ports then the laptop would not start but just beep. I replaced the SSD but the problem remained (but just with this model type). Then I moved the SSD to the portable port and suddenly everything started to work.
@@phonetorch Good to know, thank you! So do you think it's an issue with the SSD, not the added RAM? I spoke with Dell and they told me the laptop doesn't suppose the current configuration (2- 32gb, and 1 -8gb).
