Last winter my family traveled from Santiago (Chile) to Mendoza just for grocery shopping and fuel refilling, it was cheap AF. They wanted to do that again recently but they figured out is not convenient anymore.

Those are just normal prices in europe, metro is cheap tho. Meat is also veeeeeery cheap like 10 times cheaper for you
