@zaneraVen afterhours he's done that one
There’s a movie reference in the first level of Sifu in the hallway scene. A reference to the movie oldboy
funfact: is better gifts that markipiller last year
holy shit they put worms in episode 2 of hell let loose Easter eggs
Easter egg for you Captain eggcellent ... I'm not sure if it's ever been covered but in cyberpunk 2077 with the side mission with Skippy.
When you first pick him up he will give you a count down and hums a dum dum dum beat. It's actually a Adamaski song called Killer. (great song and it fits because it's all about being a killer the side mission)
I love the "You can find this" moments, because it doesn't spoil what the easter egg is, and lets the clip give us the surprise
I'm glad he's decided to remove the part at the start of the video that used to spoil the games and overview of each Easter Egg and detail that was in the episode.
No shit
That purple dog's chew toy made me laugh way more than I thought I would.😆
I really needed to do that these days.
Thank You Captain Eggcellent 👍
Captain, a little clarification: the famous 0451 code, while being the famous temperature of burning books in farenheit, was actually the code for the office of Looking Glass Studios, the development team of system shock, thief, and ultima underworld! The code has become ingrained as a subtle nod to the dev's, and the book, but most of the games that include that code were aided (ie developed) by ex LG employees, neat detail nonetheless
ACKCHEWALLY🤓
@@gonk4689 😁
@@gonk4689 you feel cool yet?
@@FijianSouljah1312 yes.
@@elijahjarman2837 props to you for not taking it seriously. I sincerely applaud you for having balls.
Hey Captain, I think I can help with the “Sean Been” dog tag from Dying Light 2. It’s got to be a nod to the fact that mostly all of Sean Bean’s characters die. That’s why his name is Sean “Been” because his characters had “been” alive.
It’s a stretch, but since there were Aliens references in the dog tags, Rosa Bartez could refer to the female marine in that movie Vasquez. In a comic spinoff of the movie, her nephew attempted to find her Smartgun in her memory, justifying the “Auntie” nickname.
Wasn't there also a girl in the walking dead named Rosa. It could be a stretch, as I don't fully remember her name
In Fallout: New Vegas with the Wild Wasteland perk, the giant rats in Broc Flower Cave witl be named "Rodents of Unusual Size", a reference to the movie The Princess Bride, where the giant rats in the Fire Swamp are called "ROUS", or "Rodents of Unusual Size".
Is that what the bl2 enemies are too then?
@@BOBINDUN Most likely
@@BOBINDUN Yes
"historically accurate tank characteristics"
Shows clip of a tank doing flips over another tank
I mean someone leaked classified documents for accuracy, multiple times
@@malice6081 that was War Thunder.
The game doesn't play like the video. It's a methodical game, where strategy and awareness are king.
HEY CAP'N, as much as people believed the 0451 code is based off farenheit 451, its actually not! the originator of the 0451 code was quoted saying this!
"Many think it's a reference to Fahrenheit 451, but it was actually the key-code to get into the Looking Glass offices in Cambridge."
Warren Spector, from Looks Glass' System Shock in 1994! the more you know!
Wow, you learn something new everyday haha
Also Unit 404 ... 404 is the error you get when a website is not available.
@@4c1d a fatal error, if you would.
I recognized that code right away when it was mentioned in this video because I've played the shit out of Bishock but I'd never known it was in other games before.
Doesn't mean that the Cambridge code wasn't made that because of that book, but you're still right.
Hey Captain! There is a reference to the original dying light game on the outside of the Bazaar. Just left of the main door, there is a missing poster with Lisa and Breckan on it. As well as the daughter from The Following!
For the first detail.
“Old habits die hard” is the final line in the first system shock game, the first game to feature the 0451 code.
The marching chicken MIGHT be a destiny reference - in the Red War Campaign the characters meet in a barn and one of them names a chicken the Colonel
Cayde-6
I thought it was a reference to Chicken Run, the military rooster.
I found an Easter egg in Minecraft dungeons! When you fully complete the “story” aspect of the game, you can go through all the stages you’ve already completed finding purple runes that are sent to the church in the home village. After collecting all the runes, you will unlock a special new stage! (I’m unsure what the name of the stage is, I haven’t played in ages) the stage is filled with hostile mooshrooms which is no doubt referencing the infamous Diablo cow dimension stage!
I doubt he'll show that one if it requires you to beat the whole game.
everyone knows that
You always make my night/day whenever you post captain!
In escape simulator, the egypt maps (map 4 to be exact) theres a skeleton that has the famous indiana jones hat. The achievement you get for putting its skull in the fire might be a refference but I dont know.
The giant "dog chew" toy is my favourite Easter egg of all time 🤣
I'm glad you post so often man I've been a fan of Easter egg content and yours is so watchable
That purple dog's chew toy made me laugh way more than I thought I would.
I really needed to do that these days.
Thank You Captain Eggcellent
In Hell Let Loose, the concrete donkey you're speaking of immediately reminded me of the TV show "Happy!" The imaginary friend in the show named Happy looks very similar.
It's a bit of a stretch but I think the Ready Or Not coffee easter egg could be a reference to that episode of Futurama where fry drank 100 cups of coffee and temporarily ascended.
same I thought of that right away
It’s not.
@@usdaprime1092 I'm going to believe that it is given we haven't had a good futurama easter egg in awhile.
I was wondering if the composer of Sifu, Howie Lee, was adding in the game at The Club stage as the tech guy. I just have thought that the devs really appreciate how great and beautiful soundtrack he made and really fit in game.
Love you captain your content continues to keep me enthralled, I am so happy to have been apart of the group that helped you with one of those black ops1 Easter eggs aha
Last easter egg was cool!
Hey cap just wanted to let you know have a good day your one of my favorite CZcamsrs really enjoy your content 💜
Great video as always
In Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, in the Kun Lun mission, at the bridge's end you can find the one ring
In the mobile game Jetpack joyride depending on how hard you press the screen will alter how much of the bullets will shoot out of the Jetpack and this works for all of the alternate jetpacks
I hope this is sarcasm
I hope this is sarcasm but I also hope it detect contact size and uses that to decide how hard it's being pushed
@@coolguyinc.1555 Is it supposed to be sarcasm? For me I didn’t know that until I found out a while back
@@kantugee1594 mate that is literally the core mechanic of the game
Captain, in Punisher video game you can find a license plate written ASM 129 . It's a reference to the issue Punisher was introduced in Marvel in Amazing Spiderman issue 129
edit: it's the 2005 one
There is an Easter egg in dying light two
Outside of the walls (I forgot which place) but there is a black person near a water collection/ drink area, and he said to me, " Good luck, and Good night." A reference to the first game
The giant dog toy could be a reference to "the penetrator" weapon from saints row 3
Could be, but i just think it's for THE People simping over lady im not going to attept to spell it, from resident evil
@@UncommonSense-wm5fd thx
No, it's just a big toy for a big lady, mate. Literally as simple as a joke comes. This 'is' technically Postal afterall. Not sure if you're old enough, but Postal is a very special kinda series from a time when game developers did not need to navigate the social minefield of politically correct opinion; that is Twitter.
Your channel is awesome enough said
Amazing video
Idk if you’ll ever read this Captain Egg, but you’re an excellent content creator and we are all thankful for you bringing us amazing videos ❤️💯
Funny thing is the shadow behind him looks like a mohawk
When I saw btd 6 in the thumbnail I thought for sure you were gonna cover the vengeful true sun god. The secret most powerful tower in the game.
Just finished farcry 3 and I love that final easter egg. Vaas is hands down the best villain in farcry series.
Wait, you only recently got to play and finish FC3? Have you played 4 and 5?
Damn, that's crazy to think there are still people experiencing FC3 so many years later, and in a world where many of us are 'complaining' about FC3's influence on hundreds of games since.
i am already going insane just by hear the definition of insanity every easter egg video
9:30 hw says he doesn't need a mohawk, yet ironically the shadow behind his head makes it look like he has a mohawk.
In mortal Kombat 11 during the loading screen the text at the bottom reference the hints to unlock reptile in mortal Kombat 1
The old house at 4:27 reminds me of the old Monsterhouse Movie from 2006.
The chicken in the barn is probably a reference to the film Chicken Run. The dog tag in DL2 with the name Rosa could be a reference to Brooklyn 99
Rdr2 detail i just found out in the mission a short walk in a pretty town if you go to the gunsmith before told to and take out everyone inside micah will say "Didn't leave nothing for me?"
everyone is back Bloons, is just noice
Never once did I expect Bloons TD6 to be on one of these videos
I might be reading too much into this but in CP2077 the Afterlife is down a set of stairs similar to those that the bar Kaneda is hanging out in at the start of Akira?
Also a small detail (or not) is that Wei Shens 'inconspicuous' outfit looks the same as that of the main protagonist of the 'Shenmue' games
I'm so happy to see BTD6 on here!! Such an underrated game on CZcams tbh
You gotta look at dark for pc and the og Xbox, it’s from like 2000 and that much detail is crazy for a game that old.
Hi I love your videos keep it up
Rosa "Auntie" Bartez is the character in Dying Light 2: Stay Human and she was part of the Legendary Peacekeepers 'Unit 404'
The same for Shawn "Kiddie" Been from the same game
Hey Cap, did you ever include in one of your videos an easter egg from Sinking City? For example you could find an indecent poster in one of the lockers and the main charater would note down something about missing "old Snake's shenanigans" - an obvious nod to MGS series
A little fun Easter egg in Hitman 1 on the Bangkok mission in your hotel room bathroom there’s a scale if you stand on the scale it will display 47.0
I think the chicken with the hat pacing is a reference to the movie chicken run.
you should do a special on hidden allies in games (like the monkey)
I’ve got an egg for you, on black ops 2 zombies, on the map buried, if you go up to the piano and hold x or square, you can play the piano. The note it plays varies depending on where you’re looking on the piano
Maybe the coffee is a reference to Fry from Futerama?
There is a estaer egg is dying light 2 (i know there's a lot) that reference a mission in the first game "broadcast". In the prologe in DL2, after you survive the first night and you start to head for the city, if you hop the face and are directly underneath the radio tower, adain will say: "glad I dont have to climb this tower" which is the reference that Kyle crane had to climb a radio tower to send a message.
If I remember right own of the voice actors voiced Legoshi in beatsars
Since they have the holy hand grenade which is in worms I wound not be surprised if the statue is a reference
I always miss details, secrets and Easter eggs in games
The donkey looks like happy from happy
you are a king
4:39 he also broke the 4th wall maybe not an Easter egg but something funny to hear
If you have not already done this a sunset overdrive respsawn animation is like the ring girl but your character coming out of a tv
In skul hero slayer while killing the first boss if you die to him he comes back stronger and in one of his new moves he says Leroy Jenkins
I dont know why my girlfriend wants that dogs chew toy . We dont even have a dog.
0451 is also in Bioshock 1 and Infinite
The size of the dogs in that postal game. Would def use a dog toy that big. It makes sense.
Exactly!
@@CaptainEggcellent egg-xactly you mean
The house with lady d's dress looked identical to the house in Edward scissor hands, now that I think about it the purple chew toy is most definitely a reference to Edward pen1s hands an old adult film 😂
The quest giver gives me ghoost bumps i dont need no mowhawk to know that dammmn vass mantenegro hes a badass
The er... "Chew toy" is also a Saint's Row reference, a nod to the weapon called, "The Pentrator"
Honestly, the I feel like the 2 mystery dog tags coupd likely be a nod to someone who one or more of the developers could have known
at the beginning of dying light 2 there is a radio tower behind a chain link fence if you jump around the fence there is an ee referencing the tower climbing of dl1. it is just after talking to the "informant" and during the day
I think it's actually more likely a reference to the often criticised mechanic of climbing radio towers, popularised by Far Cry 3.
The issue with poking fun at a mechanic like that, is if you still have an identical mechanic present in your game (windmills in Dying Light 2 function pretty similarly).
The 0451 code isn’t a reference to the book. It’s a reference to one of the first doors you need to unlock in the very first systemshock game
Wait, wasn't the Postal Brain Damage easter egg also a reference to the Serious Sam series, where it says "secret found"?
So I dont know if this is an easter egg or a detail but on my 7000'th playthrough i noticed that in rdr2 when Arthur and Dutch get surrounded by the army and they both jump off the cliff Dutch gives almost the same speach he gives to John in the first game before he jumps off the cliff to kill himself
Hey there Eggcellent, I'd originally left a comment on another video of yours mentioning an Easter Egg in the game Darkestville Castle Demo(n) Version about a certain cybernetic chicken down in Cid's basement and I'd REALLY love to see it featured on your channel because it was pretty cool. I found it in the PS Store but hopefully you'll be able to snag a copy too. Thanks for reading! :D
Nice!
The donkey reminds me of the unicorn in happy
Yes thanks for posting these but can you do some transformers devastation Easter eggs?
Haven't found big bird in a long time
In Alien fireteam elite the rarest trophy is called ultimate bad ass which is a node to Hudsons line in hit move Aliens
In roblox's phantom forces on certain maps you can find one giant rubber ducky right next to a small rubber ducky
There is another Excalibur easter egg in Horizon Forbidden West and Aloy even makes a reference about it when you find it.
"Purple dog's chew toy". Bruh🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅
In Star Wars Battlefront 2, you can find a painting of the developers on a Tokodana castle map. If you go to the 4 player mode, it should be there. To find it, head over to the pirate painting, shot it, then head over to Slave 1. There should be three lights facing a ledge. Head to it, and find the buttons and press them in this order: left, right, middle. After that, got on the roof after finding a black flag with a stormtrooper on it. Jump on the flag and face where it meets the wall, and press the button there. After that, head to the lowest level of the castle, and head to the furthest door from the staircase. In it, you should find the painting, and the box from the movie with Luke’s lightsaber should be there too.
Not entirely sure it is a direct refernce, but it immediatly connected the dots in my brain:
In Apex Legends, the legend Crypto has a kill quip where he asks "have you tried turning it off and on again?" , making me think it is a reference to British comedy ' The IT Crowd' in which the phrase is often said
In RE Village, Miranda (as Mia disguised) covers mirrors with blankets to hide her true self more...
That building you were paragliding to has an easter egg where you have to connect 3 wires together and a secret door will open up. I know that because it took me forever to do it...
Yeah it doesn't work for me. It says no power :(
@@CaptainEggcellent oh rip I'm not sure what would cause that, perhaps it's a game bug. I hope you get it to work though cause it's pretty cool.
P.S sit with the teddy bears
There is another dying light 2 Easter egg, it is a weapon of the artifact 2h variety and is a reference to silent hill I think, it’s called the “pyramid blade”
I believe there's an the last of us reference just outside the bazaar there's a dead body with cordeseps growing from its head
In farcry new dawn, there is a challenge that says something like "nice work cap" that you complete by killing enemies with a shield, as in reference to captain America
Unit 404 is itself a reference / easter egg of the 404 not found meme because the members of the unit are missing
Now, I know Hell let Loose is a WW2 shooter... But I find it quite noticable that the maps have the exact same names as in CoD 1 (UO expansion pack). Foy, Carentan, Kursk etc. I haven't seen their layout in Hell let Loose, but they somehow feel oddly familiar.
4:45 AYOOOO
martching chicken wearing a soldier helmet at 7:47
Anyone else notice the 'unit 404' on the dying light dog tags? that's funny!
I sent you something on twitter. In Cyberpunk 2077 if you were to call a fixer (the job distributers around the city) you can chat with them on the phone but if you stay on the call and approach them in person you can see them on the phone. If they notice you there they will hang up and continue talking to you face to face even mid sentence.
it would have been funny if the purple snake had a handle attached to it making it a double easter egg, being also a reference to saints row
@@UncommonSense-wm5fd the dress yes, i was talking about the dildo
4:50 isn´t that the Special Blunt Weapon in Saint Row 4?
We now have a full stack of video game details.
I swear you already did the lady Dimesscu easter egg
