To explain his laughter for those confused: Tom actually experienced that insane, absolutely thrilling event. We see him hanging onto something silly, he's remembering one of the craziest moments of his life and then reimaging that sensation in a ridiculous context.

The best interviewer in the world. I’ve seen him all over CZcams, during Marvel interviews mostly. He knows his place but is still a good sport. What every interviewer should strive for.
I was in a Hilton hotel lounge, the one by L.A. airport, conversing with my pharmacy business partners, and I saw Tom Cruise the other side of the lounge with some guy. After 30 minutes or so, there was this paraplegic girl approaching Tom for an autograph. The hotel server tried to prevent the girl from approaching, and Tom Cruise said, "I am sorry, but she can talk to me. I don't mind. In fact, I wish to be with her (exact words)" with that Tom's signature smile. He got closer to her by leaving his chair and kneeling before the girl's wheelchair. He signed his autograph, and actually spent some time talking with her and her parents. He took few minutes taking pictures as well. That is my one and only Tom Cruise story for you. But it is 100% true. While all these haters because of his religion or sth never even seen or met the guy.

Yea, he's behaving similar to how anyone would act with a camera on them. Also being on camera dumps a ton of adrenaline into your system and if you're already a high energy person it could easily come off as a bit too much like it does Tom.
honestly i feel like tom cruise is more convincing in his films as the characters than he is as himself.
To have Tom Cruise himself shaking YOUR hand and saying THANK YOU instead of the opposite, you must be one hell of a conversationalist,
which is a talent that has been shrinking in popularity with most modern day interviewers.

Tom Cruise is one of the nicest guys alive. met him in Dominican Republic he was with his then wife Katie and I swear he was riding a 60cc motorbike that they use over there to taxi around. lol riding around by himself in the town. I had to say hi. he bought me a water I remember so cool. this dude can go anywhere and fit in. the locals love him and treat him normal not like a superstar. one of the best days of my life.

we were both at the same "colmado" which is like a mom n pops grocery store. I recognized him & was star struck.. I had ordered a sandwich and he just came for water and he asked for 3 bottles and said one here for my friend. which was me. and walked away got on his lil motorcycle. that's about it. I have like. 6 post on this CZcams with an account for 7yrs. am not here posting bullshit. for the guy sarcastically commented on this.
