Masih Alinjead is an Iranian-American journalist, author, and women's rights activist. Alinejad is an outspoken critic of the Iranian government’s human rights abuses and its treatment of women and political opponents. She is the founder of the My Stealthy Freedom campaign against compulsory hijab which since its launch in 2014 has become the largest civil disobedience campaign for women’s rights in the history of Islamic Republic. I honestly don't care what happens in Iran, it's their country and let them get by.. but I also have the following observation, Western women can volunteer and go to Iran to fight if they want, no one prevents them, they are strong and independent women..
Now, be careful with what you want .. just as the West may decide that it is correct to invade/sanction a country for something that the West believe is the right thing, other countries could also decide to invade the West to prevent situations that are atrocities from their point of view. E.g. they could decide to invade the US to prevent the murder (abortion) of babies, that since the implantation of Roe vs. Wade more than 60 million babies were killed (not even the Nazis killed that many people intentionally and premeditated) ..
2 years ago I was miserable, unemployed, and failed out of college. Then I found Mr. Peterson's lectures online. Today I've found meaning in bettering myself and the world around me. I'm learning a trade, and just bought my dream car, a 2012 Camaro SS. In summary, clean your room, leave the tent, and pay attention to the world around you. Stand for what you believe. Best wishes to the Iranian people. Hopefully Western leaders can find their spine.
They are trying to take his license. Maybe someone can start a signature form to stop them. There is power in numbers and if it comes from someone who was truly impacted for the good thru him they will have to stop bullying him. Just a thought.

Congratulations - once again - to Prof. Peterson for talking about the Iranian issue. Iran is one of the few countries in the world with an uninterrupted cultural and linguistic continuity that goes back millenia. Its contribution to art, science, human culture in general is vast, way deeper than most people imagine, and its real character is completely different to what the current regime projects. If there is one word that could characterize Iranian culture, for me that would be "sensual". Magnificent architecture, great poetry, beautiful gardens - even wine, before the current regime - are in the real heart of this culture.

An older Iranian gentlemen told me about the protests. He has gone to two of them in states to show solidarity. I was surprised when he spoke so glowingly of the intelligence and strength of women and how he was proud to support them and how touched he was by the worldwide support.

Did you watch the episode and feel that she spoke much truth? I have a Persian friend that lives in the Northeast part and said that those protests were bad but are over and have been over for sometime now. He said the Kurdish woman wasn't beaten or tortured but had a previous medical condition that wasn't disclosed until she was really bad and then she died from that in custody, at the hospital. He said that the protests were quite intense at first but then other Iranians realized that it was foreign intelligence operatives efforts to create chaos and overthrow the mullahs.

The world is watching indeed. Jordan, I have deep respect for you. And I am also familiar with what it is like to be employed in a toxic workplace. It affected my health to such an extent I had to leave for health reasons. Now removed from that level of toxicity, life dramatically improved.

They were all beautiful people who were great to talk with and there Women were ALL very Kind and most generous to others. Last time I saw him was at Future's Bakery in 2017 I think , just before I realized I would return to my home country Scotland and that my parent's emigrating to Canada was a mistake. It is an unmitigated Dumpster Fire! Best thing I ever got out of U of T was learning German and encountering a few professors: Jordan and Vervaeke, though I dropped his course, and the fact that I studied both Lit and Psych.
