- As Jack Bauer on 24, Kiefer Sutherland embodied the post-9/11 hero everybody needed to see. Now, he’s back on the small screen playing a much more conflicted character in the new espionage thriller Rabbit Hole. He sat down with Tom Power to talk about it.

24 was the best series EVER! I watched it for years after it was over while I walked on my treadmill 😀. My husband was worried because I would be walking for hours because I had to go to the next episode. You can never stop at one, even when you know what will happen. Jack Bauer will always be my hero, Kiefer did a fabulous job.
❤
I am from hk and i also just watched an episode on the treadmill too. Haha!
Had the pleasure of running into Kiefer when he stayed at the hotel I worked at as a receptionist. I wanted a picture with him so bad but he was already being crowded by everyone in the hotel, so I hung back at the desk.
I Just smiled, waved, and told him to be careful as he was leaving…He smiled back and said thanks, he kinda seemed grateful for being treated with normalcy.
😂 Overall, my impression of him was that he is literally just like us, very human and polite, even though he was kinda quiet.
He took pics with everyone who wanted one, and took time to talk to several people one on one. Great guy. ❤
Awesome actor. Seeing him grow visibly older from his 24 days is humbling, to say the least.
Have always appreciated Kiefer as a person, and his talent - but to know he is not a slave to computers
absolutely THRILLS me . . . love his common sense, and desire for the truth (and I also love writing in pen)! !
THANK YOU! 💖🙏
This was one of the best interviews that I've ever seen. Not just with Kiefer, but overall! I love Kiefer and I grew up on 24. In many ways, 24 defined some very important years in my life that made me who am I today. It was awesome seeing Kiefer in a well thought interview; Kiefer is a really smart guy and this interview was one where he was really enjoying himself. New to the show but massive respect for you Tom. Great job!
Kiefer was in a movie years ago called The 3 Musketeers. It was a comedy adventure with not only Kiefer but Oliver Platt, Charlie Sheen & Tim Curry.
One of my all time faves
Fun movie. 😊
I loved the movie he was in and his son was autistic, obsessed with numbers- excellent.
I love this dude so much. I went to see him play in Madrid because its him! But it was a big surprise that his music is awesome! Now im also a fan of his music career! So much talent!
He is aging beautifully ,
chapeau !
🎩
I absolutely love that he goes for his passions and a whole different career.
Being 5 years older than Kiefer and having done my share of mistakes in my life, i really respect that he is still open to the interviewers point of view. Oh, and what Kiefer said about the news, could have been said by me. Facts are facts and the news should be the news.
I miss Walter Kronkite. He never made snide remarks. He just gave the news. You made up your own mind.
great good interview Kiefer is simply the best 🥰
Excellent interview!!!👏👏👏
I keep watching new episodes each week. This show is intense and I never know what is going on until the end. I cannot wait for the next one
Need 24 season 10 or big screen movie with happy ending for jack Bauer 🇱🇰👍😎😁🎉🎉
I absolutely love Kiefer Sutherland, I became a fan when he played vampire on the Lost Boys. 24 was such an AMAZING series. Everything he plays in he dominates it... ❤️❤️❤️
Good interview.
I so enjoyed this interview with Keifer. In the past he just seemed so brooding. I definitely agree with him with regard to the veracity of news channels. It is encouraging to know there are others who want to promote the truth as it is factually.
@ armchair guru1921. It depends on who is doing the interviewing , Kiefer seemed to click with this guy and clearly enjoyed himself . I have seen him look at some interviewers ( Jimmy Fallon comes to mind ) with utter disdain , can’t say I blame him ‼️
Off to buy some writing paper 😉
His music is fabulous, and he is touring now in 2024, UK in August ... if you have never listened to him play and sing , take the chance right now , some good videos too....
I seriously want to meet him. I haven't had my chance yet he's so nice !!
Love this interview.
Please renewed season 2 new series so good love it on paramount plus enjoy it.
Cannot wait until Monday to actually see him play 😊
Such a living legend - love him.
i love this show and there are some really funny moments and kiefer is good at it
Just love Kiefer! 😍♥️🌟💖 xxx
Rabbit is a great show!
talented man
Hi Mr Sutherland , Kathy M Minnesota
Kiefer seems quite down to earth now compared to how I remember seeing him.
Just catching this now, a nice interview Tom well done. I'm just as surprised as you to learn of his disdain of technologies, that begs the question who looks really looks after his Facebook page because I have always thought it was genuinely Kiefer making comments and in some cases actually answering back to fans….maybe that’s not really him?
It's probably his assistant, who manages his Facebook and CZcams accounts. He's a public face after all and needs to promote his shows and music, so he needs a way to put it out there. In today's time it's the internet doubling as the advertising billboard, so ofc he's got these... and lets his assistants do it for him. 😅
It never fails to amaze me that people believe it’s really Kiefer replying to their comments and messages . Some creep on CZcams was pretending to be Kiefer and asking women for their email address and even a phone number in some instances ‼️. I reported it and it was removed but I’ll bet some naive person fell for it 🤦🏻♀️
Very SWEET 🫂
Kiefer sutherland and his father Donald are two of the best actors ever
10:10 - shoutout to the editor - I feel like Kiefer went on a super existential tangent, forgot what the question was and it had to be cut. Wish I could see what he said!
Legend. 🎉
I wish 24 was back or maybe a big screen version
Day 10 pls 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I think Kiefer would have made an incredible Riddler in a Batman Christopher Nolan version up against Bale. See him perverse and laughing.
Knowing Jack is still in a Russian Prison makes it hard for me to watch new shows with this imposter. 🙂
😉🤣🤣👍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Daddy Boss
So the lesson here is that comedy is a soufflé
Jack Bower!!!!!!!!
Respect the show. Learn the name.
Kiefer is so much more than 24 and Jack Bauer ‼️
@@cidadaoPPT I love you 😘
wow dude this guy is tiny.....what is he, like 5'6" ? look at the comparisons 7:29
Liar !!! Kiefer is the most power full Blackberry user i never seen ! BB that can render pictures faster than Pixar cluster servers :)
I can stop listening to you. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Listened to this the old fashioned way last night on the radio. My response to him- wow, what privilege! "I seem to be happier than my friends who are slaves to their email account" Besides being rude, he is out out of touch with reality and admitting more than he realizes about his life. I don't think he understands how email is used. I don't know anyone who is a slave to their email but nevertheless, to him, I was a "slave" to my email and computer these past a couple weeks as I created and printed flyers, attended Zoom meetings, and organized logistics for upcoming earth day events for the climate change organization I volunteer with. I also use email to coordinate and send schedules for my tennis league, among many other things. I get the impression he is not apart of things like that. He probably has an assistant and wife who does things on the computer for him. And annoys people when they have to communicate a special way for him.
Wow. I think more people will have issue with you and your need to simply watch to critisize. Then big yourself up. He was not at all rude, but if you said it to his face then you certainly would be. Petty ..
Thank you for being evidence to the exact point he was making. As David mentioned ... petty!
@@DavidJohnson-dw6grexactly. I’m pretty sure people are looking at them as the rude one.
And just like you said, this is just petty..
I'd treasure a note handwritten on paper (especially if it's in cursive) than any disposable email - so I totally get Keifer's outlook. Years ago I wrote an appreciative thank-you letter to my wife's aunt who gifted me with a Raleigh mountain bike she no longer had a use for. She was thrilled with the letter and has mentioned it a few times over the years. It had a personal impact on her and she greatly appreciated I took the time to thank her that way. Decades later she still has the short letter.
