I SERIOUSLY appreciate that you didn't fall victim to the CZcams "every video is a music video" disease! 99% of aviation content on this platform goes to obnoxious, canned music the moment the engine starts and then they try to narrate over the music which is already louder and more annoying than the engine to start with. THANK YOU FOR PRODUCING QUALITY WATCHABLE CONTENT!

Nothing like those old 'diode' switching radios. A huge step above the crystal radios but they are a bit out of date compared to the new ones. You where not too far from me - live just over the WI / IL boarder. Take care - be safe.

Just swapped out my avionics earlier this year. I had an old KX-170B as well. It was a pretty good old radio but the localizer wasn’t that accurate so I replaced it with a KX-155 and upgraded to a 430W. A big improvement!

Chris, Great job. Nothing like a little headache when a guy is trying to head out somewhere. Looks like you guys did a great job dealing with it and the help that came out was great to see. Aviation is usually a great community of people willing to help out. This is going looking to be a great series. Now you and Josh both have one going so my free time will be occupied. 😂😂. A 172 with 182 rear quarter windows. Looks way better. I think they only made them for like one model. My take is that they went to the more ordinary looking windows to save money or to save weight or easier to manufacture. Not for looks.
