    You also forgot to add the extra long mast track allows you to position the Foil in a more ideal position whether you are Kitefoiling or Jump-Pump-Glide. Well thought out Armstrong, Great Review!

      Good point -- I'm sure I forgot some other things as well. Our enthusiasm and stoke for the ride sometimes clouds the mind.....all while providing a clear headed flow state. hahaha.

    That's a sweet looking tow rope and the board... obviously!! What wing are you riding in this video?

      We wanted to ride a standard setup that a lot of our customers have (with a little mod for us) so HS1550V2, 72cm mast, 50cm fuselage, V200 tail.

    Hi ! 200lbs rider, looking for tow wave board. How WKT (larger size) compares to the 4.0 FG when it comes to sinking and water touch/relaunch ?

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I do not recommend the larger WKT. Either go with the 109 or the 122. The WKT has much less volume that the WS40. It will be a sinker. Relaunch is fantastic on the board. Feel free to give us a call to talk it through. 109 vs 122 will depend upon your height. 909-698-0401

    What mast position number would you think using ma1000 towing with footstrap?

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  Před rokem +1

      We've found the MA1000 to be best placed ~2 further forward than your normal position for the HS wings.

    Great video. My question is in regard to the Foil Drive Assist PLUS -- I realize that this system is meant for larger boards like SUPs but I have seen many people attaching it to much shorter and smaller volume boards like 30 liters. Do you think that the Armstrong WKT board would be good to attach the Foil Drive Assist PLUS system to in order catch and ride small waves? When you are pumping back out to try and catch the next wave but then you suddenly touch down, is there enough buoyancy to keep this board above the water long enough to engage Foil Drive Assist PLUS system or will you likely sink below the surface? Would you recommend the Armstrong Wing Surf Board over this new WKT board for prone foiling with the Foil Drive Assist PLUS system? I realize this board is brand new and you haven't done a Foil Drive Assist with it but wondering what your thoughts might be.

      Hi H H -- We have a foil drive on the way to us now. We haven't used it so - the answer for now is "I don't know". That said - I'd be concerned. The blue tooth connection (controller to drive) needs to be above water to my knowledge. It's a better fit for a board with a higher liter count. The WKTs are very low Liter -- virtually nothing to float on -- so you're battery and receiver will be under water which to my understanding isn't the greatest. I'd go with the WS instead.
      Hope that helps.

      I think the foil assist would not work with WKT boards until it has more power. The liter count is very low for the power of the assist. That said, my friends that are putting the assist through the ‘paces’ are doing amazing things on about as low as 34 liters. Think 4’5 standard prone size board. When I say amazing things I specifically mean 34 waves in a session that lasts the battery length. They are dialing in riding under power, catching waves and bumps, (assist is now out of water). Re-engage on foil with assist in water mast lower and finding the next bump. If you want more specifics feel free to call but the combo unlocks a huge potential happy to share what we know.

      Mast length 72cm. A variety of front wings are typically used so that we get a good feel for the board. Ping us with any specific questions. halflifet.5@gmail.com

    What rope are you guys using? I don’t think I’ve seen one with that many floats on it before.

      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  Před rokem +1

      Hi Jason -- that's a liquid force rope - we can send you one if you like. We love the float - especially for tow in behind a jet ski.

      Hi - we roll the white water to the other side using tabs to create a smooth foiling face. You can see the full settings in this video on our CZcams channel: czcams.com/video/wtf2tmPihfE/video.html
