trying to make a balanced unbiased review from a channel called "appleinsider" is a joke.
Lol 😂
Was about to comment the same. xD
There is also a usd3000 difference
None of the points matter, only money does.
Make both of them same price and you will forgive all others cons of AVP and buy it
With that being said, for some reason, if price isn’t your issue, then you don’t need to look into other cons of AVP.
So you think it’s biased???????
I don't think honestly that i can get an unbiased review when the channel is called Apple Insider
and you didnt
Haha exactly was hoping this was different
Wait... So you have an entire channel dedicated to greasing apples pole?
Bro just chill , I feel ur pain . But apple is just better . That’s it
@@mcqueen2831ehhhhh. Honestly not true. You can name any apple product and I can make something that performs better for a fraction of the price lol.
@@mcqueen2831never was and never will be. Especially in mobile phones
lol idk why people hate apple this days@@JangleeBashir
@nooobCODM personally speaking. It's not hate it's confusion. I used to have apple products. I loved them until I realised, how heavily I was restricted with them. Basic things I wanted to do and I couldn't. I noticed how they never really changed things but always wanted to charge more. When I made the switch to android and Samsung gear. I felt free, I felt this is what I'm paying for I felt like I was getting my moneys worth. I felt I could do what I wanted with the product and not feel limited. Now I look at apple products as just basic gear with a premium price tag that isn't ever justified.
He lost me when he said the games on the Quest 3 is not compelling. WHAT??
I know, it’s literally a gaming vr
this is a paid apple promo lol
Bro has probably only played gorilla tag 'nOt CoMpElLiNg" wait till he tries wdsas, Asgard's wrath 2 and more
same here :D
Watch these sheep’s call it an innovation once games like eleven table tennis and other interactive games come on Vision Pro
I think the fact you're able to compare a 500 dollar device to a 3500 dollar device and find areas where the 500 one has large advantages pretty much answers your question. Yes the screens and passthrough is better. Well it better be! It's 7x the price!
Just gotta wait for other companies to make their own goggles. Maybe Samsung will come out with their own version for a lower price
They are aren’t even remotely close lol
Well said!
let me guess you have the Q3 and want to convince yourself that's not shit?
@@xeon2k8quest 3 is primarily for gaming which it does very well. The other features are just an added bonus. A lot of those added features are mediocre. There is nothing shit about it. For $500 you get a lot. Just make sure you are primarily getting it for gaming. On the flip side there is absolutely nothing that makes the Apple vision pro worth 4k. It may be a great device but you are an absolute moron if you are paying that price for it lol. Like actually the dumbest most easily influenced person. If you are rich then sure get it. But for everyone else, don't waste your money lol.
the Quest 3 doesn't feel "cheap" and making a VR headset with HEAVY materials is down right dumb and counter-productive not "good build quality" if the design itself is hindering your ability to enjoy what you paid overprice for...smh
Amen!!!
I also don't get the feeling he honestly tried to find a game he enjoys. There's such incredible experiences and games for the quest and for pcvr, you just have to dig a bit.
@notlisztening9821 there's alot of Apple fanboy-ing going on like it does with all their products. People make up excuses for them in their heads to justify paying more what for what is actually LESS in reality. They'd rather have a new shiny car with obvious engine problems than have a rusted truck that has been heavily worked on by 3 mechanic previous owners and the engine and transmission rebuilt. It's not the prettiest but it handles everything you throw at it and more. The new shiny car, however, can only come out the garage when the weather is nice.
If you watched the torture test video on AVP, suddenly it makes the meta quest 3 pro look like a fragile thing. I guess curved glass and aluminum are more solid build qualities than plastic
@CarloGrams another pointless factor that holds barely and significance cause nobody is dropping a Quest 3 from 6 ft and it doesn't have a locked on battery cable. Even while using a battery bank a plug easily releases from the USB-C port before yanking the headset. I have a clear cover on mine and the cameras are well protected even if it dropped. The Q3 is built solid and not a "toy".
I wasn’t expecting much from this comparison based on the channel. But all you said was that the AVP did everything else better but then said nothing apart from “it’s got good hardware”
You then went on to say that you don’t like VR games and you don’t really want to work out with the headset on. But you can’t wait to play VR games on the AVP and you’d love to use it to workout on.
Very strange comparison video. 🤦♂️
Not an honest review.
exactly, a biased Apple fanboy comparison for sure.
Fr 😂
Why compare a $500 headset to a $3000 headset? If the $3000 headset doesn't crush the $500 headset I. EVERY way (including gaming) then it's NOT worth it.
Exactly
A Porsche 911 has less cargo storage than a Golf. Wouldn’t say it’s not worth it because of that.
Your comparison is so stupid, we are talking about price within competing products, not different products. Compare sport cars to sport cars. If a porsche 911 cost 1 million dollars more than it does now, it wouldnt be worth it vs even just a Toyota GR86. @@Mackzzzzzzz

EVERY PIECE OF TECH MUCH BE MADE FOR GAMING
Apple fanboy has spoken.
The fact that I can use MQ3 with a PC and play PC games in it or use it as a monitor for a PC or other devices, makes the MQ much more desirable. The only thing keeping me from buying the MQ3 right now is the image quality but more than certain I'll jump into the MQ4 when it comes out. The only thing that prevents me from buying the AVP now (or at any point in time) is the fact that it can't be use as a monitor with other devices (like a PC and play games on a PC). My goal is to replace the hardware monitor with a virtual monitor.
There are devs working on bringing PCVR to the AVP. I spent a couple hours in VRchat last night with an app that’s been in development for less than a week.
@@BunkerSquirrelIt'd be a winning addition

@@BunkerSquirrel well, what can I say, I guess we'll see in a couple of years how's going to develop this capability and if yes, it will be a game changer for sure.

Appleinsider tells you to buy a product thats 7 times more expensive
The Apple Vision pro now made me want to buy a quest 3 or maybe a quest 2. I would have to go into a lot of debt if I were to buy a Vision Pro. And I would be afraid nervous 😬 letting my small kids use the fragile delicate Apple Vision Pro. And I could not say no to them. Im going to start out with the Quest 2 since right now they are just $250. And so my kids can use it without me being afraid as nervous.
Hey!
For a great VR gaming experience, the Meta Quest 2 is a great choice. It has a clear screen quality, making small text easily readable. If you want a better gaming experience, you can use a link cable for PCVR (casting your PC screen to the quest) so you don't have performance issue and have acces to more games. If you want to use augmented reality but you're on a budget for it, the Quest 3 is also a good choice, though the best is still the Apple Vision Pro (it is just not made for gaming).
Same 😂
@@TOWERD1990 Install Quest Enhancer and it will make not non-quest3-enhaned games look so much better
ı mean, if you can put 250 more and buy a quest 3 would be better. quest 3 is a huuuge improvement in terms of graphics, power, comfort, tracking, controllers and passthrough. ı have both of them and never used quest 2 since I bought quest 3.
And that was exactly the goal. The goal is not to buy Apple vision Pro that's why it's so expensive. They want the majority to buy VR Headsets because VR is the future. Now people realize that other Headsets are way cheaper and affordable for the average person.
Apple opted for a higher price with an external wired battery on your waist, smaller field of view and still somehow made it heavier than the quest 3. Baffling to say the least.
Well it’s obviously going to be heavier just based on build quality and the actual components used in it..
@@e9cw196 the comfort of use should always be the NO.1 prority of a product that is worn on the face. Apple absolutely failed on vision pro, which is not a usable product at all, only for 30 mins of use
@@e9cw196 FYI I own both, and that is just my own opinion
@@e9cw196 Batteries are one of the heaviest components in vr headsets. The vision pro not having it internally and still weighing as much as it does is atrocious.
@@wannieboy1834there is double the RAM, two CPU’s, double the 3D sensors, a whole separate front-visor display and it’s all wrapped in glass and aluminum, not plastic. I would be surprised if they made it weigh the same as a quest 3 pro. What crack are you people smoking
I do think the movie experience is likely better on the Apple Vision Pro, but why would anyone spent $3.5k on an uncomfortable and overpriced headset with limited capabilities (it can't even handle more than one computer display) when you could instead spend $3k of that to buy a VR ready gaming PC along with a $500 VR headset (Quest 3 or similar)? The improved display quality is not even remotely worth the insane price increase, and the more expensive materials used are actually a bad thing as it adds to the uncomfortable weight.
Lol. Leave it to "AppleInsider" to come to the "definitely go with Apple" conclusion.
Yeah. And that there was no account for the 3,000$ price difference and also because the Quest 3 was made for gaming, the Apple Vision Pro is an "iPhone" in augmented reality. Two different things.
I am pretty sure that this video was made to jump on the Apple Vision Pro trend.
🤣🤣🤣
Considering that price, I'd expect the AVP to excel in every single aspect
Ironically enough the main argument for AVP is that it'll get better when new content comes, but sadly I doubt really good content will come when the platform is restrictive (it's Apple) and especially when the only controllers you get are hands, eye tracking or a classic controller, none being both reliable and immersive like any other controller in other headsets.
Other headsets allow for actual gaming and social experiences, whereas AVP focuses on having a good looking UI and a bunch of impressive apps you'll use once and be done with. Funnily enough the AVP can do like 20% of what a MQ3 does and from that 20% the MQ3 already does 10% of that but even better (multi screen setups for instance).
My Mac works with my Quest 3 lool and it also works with my Magic Trackpad 2 and I am a Music Producer and the Quest 3 is better for musicians as it has a headphone jack and I can play instruments in Mixed Reality and record it live straight back into Logic Pro X though my soundcard with one wire so their another use case for owning a Quest 3 and the Quest 3 has a few Music DAWs you could make full songs on and I was expecting apple to launch logic pro x on this headset and they didn't as I was watching all of the videos even before they showed the device and I went and bought a Quest 3 and I haven't looked back since
Take a breath, pal. And as a musician who owns both an iPad and a Quest 2, I'm way more interested in the AVP for mixed-reality music making. With the AVP, for example, I could use any one of a half-dozen apps I already own to set up virtual MIDI control surfaces to control synths or guitar effects, or open up the H90 Control app and use it to control my H90 effects pedal over Bluetooth in real-time. And yeah, the Quest has music apps, but the general consensus is that they basically suck, and having looked at the demos, I can't disagree. Fret not: Apple will have an AVP-native version of GarageBand, at least, available before the holidays.
Can't believe he was able to read his script with Apple's unit in his...mind.
Quest 3 being plastic doesn’t matter when it can survive a washing machine (Thrillseekers video), has less weight, and doesn’t scratch as easy.
The IPD automatically adjusting is nice, but once you get it right on the Quest 3, you don’t ever have to change.
7x the cost. While the AVR is great for the higher end, it’s not good for gaming nor is it good for PCVR or anything versatile. It’s stuck in its own ecosystem, and is a glorified phone on your face with a few mini-AR games that remind me of the 3DS.
I love the AVR for showing me what’s possible with VR, but I don’t think people should be paying for it.
I had my demo booked at the Apple Store and ended up cancelling under "lead us not into temptation" pretenses. Would I be blown away by the experience? Unquestionably. Would I have buyer's remorse? Absolutely. When/if the price comes down or there's a non-Pro version of the headset, I'll probably make the leap. For now... I'm just going to live vicariously through CZcamsrs. :) Thanks for the great video.
Or you can just get a Quest 3 and be able to do more with the headset than the Vision Pro can do currently.
Meta quest 3 was just as good as the valve index to me I don’t think spending 3000 on better cameras for a slight crispy image boost for me lol
Having experienced the vision pro I wouldn't call it a slight image boost, it's like a 1-2 generation image boost
It's vr actually arriving in terms of no compromises clarity for entertainment & productivity
@@actualyoutubeaccountexcept with low fov, less reliable controls and minimal actual use cases. It's has more AR use then VR.
@@actualyoutubeaccount carazy how many people here are dick riding apple vision pro in comments on youtube and tiktok when most people won't even buy this or even want to know everything about it so they can type some info to others when they are all just headsets that in a few years would always get advancements and what is the point of even trying to defend which company is better when they we get all close specs to each other in a price range
@likwidsage let me refine my statement - it's HMD's actually arriving in terms of image quality.
I would agree it's more an AR device by design, aside from viewing content which is obv superior to Quest.
I purchased mine yesterday and it is fantastic for connecting to my mac & working in ways that's clunky & low res on my Quest 3.
Productivity is my main use case and Vision immediately stands out, having used Quest 2, Pro, 3 and their variety productivity apps
@@actualyoutubeaccount Agreed. I've had mine and about to return it. It's a spec bump for AR with pretty much missing VR. Display wise it's like going from 720 to 2k.
To be honest, do you know what Quest Link and Steam VR are? And a GPU?
My thoughts exactly, the Quest 3 really shines when it's wirelessly hooked up over WIFI 6 to a monster PC, it leaves the AVP completely in the dust at that point but no reviewer ever seems to do it. I think a lot of people actually don't have a huge amount of knowledge around VR and it's more a pedestrian review of the absolute basics like pinning windows in a 3d space or switching from VR to passthrough (I've not seen any review do the double tap on the Quest 3 headband to switch between MR and VR). It's like focusing on the glovebox of a car for half a review, sure the Apple has a great glovebox but can we get in to how versatile this thing is for the money and all the thousands of experiences it has (or hasn't...)?
@@HenleyBaileyit doesn’t leave it in the dust at all. Yes for gaming, but you still have all the shortcomings of an outdated and clumsy UI, along with bad pass through and mediocre screens. Those things combined make a huge difference.
I have a question 3. It’s such a good device for the price. But it’s pretty garbage at most things compared to the VP, bar gaming. As you’d expect for a headset which costs so much more.
@@James-lw3gi There's no point in having the AVP for 99% of the population. The Quest 3 actually is usable by the average person to the point they'll get value for money from a device that will be outdated in a year.
There's no point spending out and having a formula one car if there's barely any race tracks anywhere. It's better to have a Porsche 911 and enjoy going shopping in it, or carving up some mountain roads then heading to a track for a quick blast. I'll take the 911 every day thanks.
I'll give the race car a go and be impressed but I don't want one.
@@HenleyBailey to be fair the quest isn’t a 911. It’s more of a Mitsubishi Mirage, but I do agree 😜
I for one am definitely going to get the better car and enjoy the crap out of it
@@James-lw3gi I've owned a bunch of headsets and while I don't like Meta, the quest 3 is excellent and the clear best choice for most people unfortunately.
Which headset beats the Quest 3 for all-round usability, features and functionality/ease of use?
'It hurts my neck after wearing it for more than 6 hours"
LMAO. Do you ever go outside? (Without your headset)
BRO EXACTLY
So this comparison boils down to that the Quest 3 has the advantage in most real world use cases but it's not an Apple product so it automatically is not desirable. Yeah, ok...
High quality 180 VR in a Meta Quest 3 looks fantastic and you can watch other videos in a theater just like with the Vision Pro VR headset. I'm not going to care about the Vision Pro until it's lighter and cheaper and allows you to watch any 180VR you want rather than restricting it like Apple is doing. now.
I don't understand people who blindly worship a company. Blind loyalty is weakness of character and mind.
Most of the things this guy touts about vision pro is reproducible - higher res screen, cameras, spatial context etc. Next gen Quest pro will likely close the gap and cost 1/3rd. Worth waiting!
I agree. None of it is really “revolutionary” or a “game changer” it’s just more expensive… so yeah it BETTER have higher resolution, lower latency, etc. I think for the same price point Meta would have something on par or better because they have so much more experience in the space than Apple. But I have to admit Apple has a certain flair to their products that feel really nice. I just don’t see for the price AVP improving on anything I am wanting to do today. I’d rather use a desktop/laptop for productivity and a quest for anything VR and save the $$$ for software, games, accessories, etc. Until AVP can offer an improved experience in utility then I think it’s just a fancy toy with some cool tricks rather than anything I would use regularly over things I already own.
Two different products for two different customers. Same reason you see Kia’s on the road next to your Porsche’s. They both get the user from A to B, but the drivers have different means and priorities.
As a owner of both, I concede that the warping of perspective in the Meta Quest 3 is noticeable, but it’s pass through is not that far behind the Vision Pro
My main question is whether or not the Quest can handle “general computing” and more natural multitasking in case meta wants to enable that in the future
That would be more for the quest pro.
not that far behind? bro you get blurry hands and distorted background as you move your hands arounds, it looks so bad
@@nfrankiksa4596 the Vision Pro still has grainy video pass through where it’s tough to read things. They’re both bad. Quest is worse but it doesn’t make the Vision Pro’s good. The point is that the even the best current passthrough is still bad.
The Immersed app has multi-windows and it works smooth while allowing real-time networking with other users
Aside from the low framerate, significant warping, lower resolution, much more grain, and high latency…yeah the Quest 3 really isn’t that far off. But just those things! Uh everything else is fine.
I think color grading would benefit from the vision pro as the headset blocks all ambient light.
i got quest 3 and vision pro, but i like quest 3 for games. i like movies for apple but why no big screen?
The Apple vision pro is impressive when it comes to the built-in technology. But would I replace my quest 3 with it? Certainly not. The comfort thanks to boboVr and sideloading alone make it the winner for me. And of course the price just for watching films is too much for me.
The m2 is an arm64 arch, just like the xr2. The foviated rendering is what allows the apple to feel snappier, but low latency games will likely run as well if not better on the quest 3
Quest 4 or the next Quest Pro could be the true game changer if the public cares. If they get close to the Apple Vision Pro experience for $1k-$2k that would be super exciting for VR. We are close people. I haven’t used any of these. But I’m guessing Quest 3 was the true game changer for gaming with the pancake lenses (I know the quest pro has them too, but different resolution). And the next Quest will have the awesome pass through and movie watching experience that is needed for the full experience. That is the hope !!
Quest 3 is amazing. Doesn't have the amazing passthrough of the AVP but counterbalances that feature (which is not that important for a VR headset) with actual stuff to do/content and not having a bunch of stupid issues or mediocre design features the AVP has (external battery, heavier weight not including said battery pack, etc). It's also so much cheaper while doing basically everything AVP already does but even better (productivity, fitness, media, etc).
It seems to be that the Vision Pro is a great option. But: 1) the view field is extremely reduced. 2) I miss connectivity (at least one usb-c-port would be great). 3) I have no info about the lenses, what range of disabilities is it able to cover, before I have to buy extra Zeiss-lenses? Yes, I could do a research, but it‘s more fun to watch videos.
that is a un fair comparison you shoud do meta quest pro vs apple vision pro insted
The Dual Loop Band for over head support is included with the Vision Pro. Reviews say it’s more comfortable and balances weight better than the solo knit band.
Doesn’t work for me. The solo knit is so much more comfortable
If you remove the plastic from the front of the the meta and put the glass from the apple vision would it look like the apple vision?
I don't think i have to say this but no that's not how that works
3:38 There is a second band in the box (if I understand it correct), it just does not look that good, but there is a different band!
Is it good for gaming?
No, it's actually useless in that sense unless you want to play some iphone games that aren't VR. Afaik you can't use it for PCVR either. If actual games ever come for it (something like Asgard's Wrath 2 for example) they'll probably have to sell controllers which I guess will cost almost as much as a second hand Quest 2 lol
People are spending $3500 to check their email lol

I can play Xbox Cloud, Steam (via Geforce Now), Virtual Boy in 3D, 3DS in 3D and and and... with my Q3, you can check your mails. Congrats 😂
A lot of comments are confused as to why they even compare. Yet, if you're an Apple user, chances are you have not even looked at Meta. This type of review helps Meta get some attention from people who typically wouldn't give it. I tried the Apple Vision Pro and loved it, but the reality was I only did it because I was grabbing a new item from the Apple Store, and they had a demo. I was so blown away by it all that I decided to look at Meta, too, to see what the difference is. As someone who only uses Apple, I might get the Meta just cause it's cheaper and it's an easier intro into the VR world. Yet for me the Demo, it felt like Apple VR is more for movie experiences, photos and calls. Quest feels like it's more for gaming and working out.
Sounds like the guy who wanted his leather seats redone in his private airplane by charity donations so he can fly his buddies to the Super Bowl.
I hope you got a high score on all those fun productivity games I'm going to go ahead and keep boxing and playing Thrill of the fight or any other game that's an actual VR game because my quest comes with controllers and it's actually made to do more than send email
The 'lets find out' seemed ingenuine
All the money for these things...how about adjustable focus? Would sure beat needing inserts or wearing with glasses.
In short better resolution and better screen which you can only notice if you have contents of that high resolution. welll quest 3 for win.
How much did Apple pay ya for this unbiased review? -- love the ridiculous battery btw
common man your channel literally called "APPLE"
not buying Vision pro with that price set. Patiently waiting for Visor Immersed.
I dont understand what i cant do in quest3? I can watch movies while eating anything, handle most apps using hand gesture, can be in actual world and immersive experience also.. only vision pro has lidar.. what quest not but depth sensor quest also has..
You could get the largest GB Meta Quest 3, an updated strap, and 20 badass games and you’re STILL spending a fraction of the cost 😅
How can you seriously complain about the battery? You say your complaint is that it exists, yo do realize it needs a battery and this saves so much weight. It’s one of the best parts imo.
This guy is a scam, this channel has apple In its name. Guy just purchased a quest 3 just to rush this clickbait video.
Absolutely spot on. Feels like the comments below are mostly from people that haven't used the Vision Pro. It kills Quest.
Quest will become the Android of the sector though - and that's not a bad thing. It's just not going to be the premium device. Coming from a long tech background, you know when a device wins - and in this case the Pro is so ahead of Quest it will be impossible for them to catch up. That's the issue. It's not the first device, it's the 4th, 5th , 10th... and by that time in 10 years, Apple wins completely. And Meta will be doing something else or will have spun out the Quest handset business completely.
"If you *really* want quality, then you'll buy the Vision Pro." That's the BS that keeps people spending way more than they should. "You are special. You appreciate quality". Apple is selling self-esteem.
If Apple allowed for virtual desktop for windows PCs to stream STEAM or other VR games, that would be a win. Or it apple had controllers too.
Came to the comments and the first word I saw was 'unbiased'. I nodded my head and moved on cuz I know yall got it.
hi :) good idéa to compare quest 3 vs apple vision ... @+ amigo
Ive had a quest 3 for 2 months and its exceeded expectations. The games are great and i can use it with my mac to show multiple displays. The vision pro is underwhelming considering its extra $3000 price tag. For its price i would expect the mac to be built in.
The battery on AVP is genius idea, when the battery dies its 5 sec job to replace it instead of dissembling the device
what genius in it? om quest devices you may connect ANY power bank to type c port of device. It's also have battery INSIDE.
Or you can just plug any $20 power bank into the quest 3 and charge while playing and have the exact same result (except it will have a higher capacity than the apple one and most likely be lighter)
If that sounds genius to you, you should definitely work on your IQ
A good video. I had the Quest 2 for two years and just upgraded to Quest 3. While I am sure the AVP is really cool, I would never drop 3.5K on new tech. It is so typical for Apple to push its way into a space and charge astronomical amounts for their products. Certainly the AVP is a superior product in terms of quality and tech, but what does that really translate to? It depends on what you're getting a device like this for. For me, I seek a device that can give me immersive experiences and fun VR gaming. The Quest 2 did that for me and I am confident the Quest 3 will further enhance those experiences. Better resolution, field of vision etc... and with a quick install of Virtual Desktop, I can utilize the Nvidia 4090 in my PC and play VR games on my Meta wirelessly. The idea of that external battery is just terrible. If I own the Meta 3 for 2+ years (until the next version), and I purchase games and apps a couple of times a month, in those 2+ years I will not even reach the 3.5K for the AVP. So for me, the value I am getting with Meta and its price tag is so much better than the AVP. I hope the AVP does well and enough people buy it so it can continue to develop into something more affordable.
I love Apple for showing Meta exactly where they need to improve for their next $400 - $700 product. In fact, a lot of fixes to the Quest lineup can be done in software before the next refresh. Competition is incredibly healthy for this market. For a more balanced review head over to Virtual Reality Oasis for Mike's opinion.
i guess you haven't tried les mills work out and thrill of the fight
But if you compare the pass through from meta quest 2 with 3, the quest 3 is the goat
One thing seems clear, you show a heavy bias towards Apple products. You can just hear it in your voice. I knew you'd be sold by the apple vision.
_"The idea of the metaverse or whatever we ultimately end up calling it is too important for either company to ever really abandon. The ability to bring together the physical and the virtual or blend reality with imagination is a monumental task. Meta’s efforts so far have largely failed to capture that vision. And it’s exciting to see Apple enter the arena and think about it a little bit differently."_ - This is a bizarre comment at the end of the video. First of all, the Quest 3 and the Apple Vision pro are NOT a "Metaverse". Yes, Meta has been creating a Metaverse called "Horizon" which is available for free to quest users and it's not that great. But the Quest 3 is not a Metaverse. And there are multiple Metaverses today... ChatVR which is free for the Quest and other VR users is a more popular metaverse... and I don't believe it's available on the Apple Vision pro, though I could be wrong, but it goes back to Apple's "walled garden". The point is, the comparing of two headsets, and even mentioning "metaverse" is nonsense and Apple really doesn't even have metaverse. And this comment makes it sound as if Meta is failing when in fact, META dominates today the VR Mixed reality headset realm. That is fact! There are many other VR headsets besides Apple and Meta... but only one holds more than 50% of the market... and that's Meta! Because it makes a good and affordable headset! I'm happy Apple is entering the arena, but due to limitation of functionality, high-cost and lots of marketing in which it educates people about VR and what it can do... it will help Meta sell more units!
Agreed, vision pro will probably help Meta more than Apple. 😂
1. It'll drive up Quest sales due to halo effect
2. And give clarity to Meta on areas they need to improve based on Vision Pro experience
Why does nobody compare Meta Quest PRO vs Apple Vision Pro? Is it no difference?
Facebook meta quest is practically for gaming
literally nothing that was said in this video justify spending 3.5k on a Vision Pro to me it is so crazy...
Well, good video, but it should be the MQ3 Pro.
I love how Apple set the bar high. I'm pretty sure the competition will excel and benefit us all in the end.👀
Early adopters always pay way more. The R&D is so expensive that the way needs to be recouped somehow. I hope Apple has another big hit on their hands because it’ll get better and cheaper as time goes on.
Considering how polished this feels for a first gen product, I’m ok with that
The Quest is so close. The AVP OS sets it apart. Nobody ever mentions that the crown is plastic. Also the AVP is no more heavy than the Quest. But with the Quest right now you can get some better counterbalanced straps.Yes the resolution and passthrough are better. But about 25% to 35% better than the Quest 3 not night and day. I have both.
I think we are one Quest away from the game changing product. If they improve the pass through and resolution/add OLED for movie watching…then all Apple has is its OS and Apple experience. Which is still great, but it makes the Meta Quest an incredible purchase if they can accomplish near the same specs for $1k-$2k. Not sure if they can do it without an external battery though. Hopefully they get clever on the big things that matter. We are super close to the super consumer friendly awesome VR device. If you count Meta as consumer friendly. Ha. I want to wait for one more device before buying one of these brands VR and be blown away. I know we are close. I think Apple proved it.
dont forget Quest 3 is still updated. so he is the best vr.
What makes the Apple Vision Pro so expensive? Nothing. It's just Apple doing Apple things.
Quest 3's resolution is lackin' bruhh
Any non-Meta options?
Pimax Crystal and Bigscreen Beyond are a couple awesome ones.
Its basically a pretty cool dev kit Apple convinced ppl to buy for 5Gs ...I'm impressed lol....
saya berharap apple membuat produk beserta software nya karena hardware dan software mesti seimbang
I think they did but because of zuckerburg’s attitude I hopefully brought the gates in as backup.
For people that are not on apple ecosystem, it will cost way more than 3.5K
You can buy a quest 3 to every member in the house and still have money left than sit stupid and alone with your apple vision.
Here´s your answer since I have both, NO the vision pro is not even remotely worth it, a 3k price difference when you will have pretty much the same experience overall is just stupid. If like me you will use it as a 3 monitor alternative, playing games and watching videos (all kind) then trust me, save yourself 3k and get the quest 3.
If the meta quest 3 is not for you, I would love to take them from you. I can put them to use instead of you having them in a drawer.
In other words: the thing that costs 600% more does better than the thing that costs $500. Except for all the features Apple Vision doesn't have.
Guarantee this guy can't even define what he means by productivity.
Fun facts I'll resell vision pro for quest. That shit is stupidly expensive
Apple fanboy here. (Well, mostly) $3500? Nope. Premium materials are nice, but not THAT nice. I’ll wait for a couple revs and a less “premium” price. The battery is a kludge too. Reminds me of the way the Apple Pencil OG plugged in to charge. Somebody at Apple should be horse whipped for that. One of the biggest pros with the AVP is the fabled apple ecosystem. All my Apple stuff works together and that’s worth a lot to me. Privacy is another big factor. Meta? Ummm, no thanks.
I want a device that's made for fun and gaming.
I'll be passing on the Vision Pro for the foreseeable future.
I think gaming will come. Hopefully soon!
People are playing steam on the Vision Pro
@@adikoopa1183 Very LIMITED capability on steam. Maybe one day they will actually be able to do so reliably and get the same visual ability of a regular PCVR system. But also keep in mind... the Apple Vision pro doesn't come with controllers. So, then you're looking to have to purchase Valve Index VR controllers and accessories to make it work... you'll need to add close to another $1000 to use Steam VR games because the VAST majority of those games requires controllers.
@AppleInsider How you are going to do gaming ? oh controllers sold separately for another 999$ lol
@@alexs1118 I just use my PlayStation 5 dualsense controller. They have MFi ones that Apple certifies for like $39
Wow. That’s your “honest review”?!
Every video i watch about vision pro increase my curiousity for it but it's *FREAKING!* $3500.
Apples been working on Vision Pro since 2007.
For me quest 3 has better price/features ratio
I don't know why I was watching this video hoping it won't be biased from a channel named "apple insider" 😂
Considering the cost difference, a comparison is pointless. They are targeted at two very different consumers.
That’s what I said in the video…
Its getting harder to choose now.. i had the first gen Playstation VR, but eventually i sold it few weeks later because it was too much money at that time. Back then it was just wow…. 7 years later (today). im back , wanting a nother vr .. But $3500 no way im going to spend that money. with two kids, a house and a car, i can barely save $1000 a year. That means it would take me 3 to 4 years to save the $3500+tx . The meta quest 3 is the max i can afford right now. But its pass through is horrible compared to vision pro, i agree.. meta will have to update their product. Maybe i should wait for quest 4. But since im all apple (iphone, ipad,) the logical move for people on apple would be to get the cheaper apple vision which i think is going to cost probably around $2499. Still too expensive. Thats ridiculous for just wanting a perfect pass through vision. I guess the vision pro will force everyone to make better vr set.
I think steve jobs would made this Vision pro way different, like when he made the iPod! I think he wouldn’t like the battery thing with the cable and how expensive it is compared to others in the marketplace! Steve come back please 😢
