    About us,
    We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
    The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
    Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
    Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK and Escape to rural France to restore this beautiful building to its former glory.

    Ok, here’s the trick. Stand in your garden and say, very loudly, ‘that does it, we are definitely not planning to do any gardening or laundry tomorrow’. The next day you will find clear blue skys, gentle breeze and sunshine.😊it works every time for me 😁

    To prevent your drill bit from binding, use a little stream of water to cool the bit, plunge & retract the drill frequently to remove debris. Take your time!
    Note: Drilling another hole alongside a stuck bit will ruin both bits. ❤️🙏

    • @Ragnar8504
      @Ragnar8504 Před měsícem +1

      I've managed to unstick drill bits by turning them anti-clockwise with a big pipe wrench. The worst DIY drilling job I've had so far was a 35 mm hole through a stone wall with a timber frame (fairly substantial structural timbers) and plaster & lath in front of it. Getting through that into the space between the posts was easy but as soon as I tried to get deeper into the stone I got stuck. I eventually gave up and routed my cables a different way.

    As for the drill bits, my thought was to come through from the other side to push them out; looks like that's what you did in the end. Try not to let the zombie spiders creep you out too much; I live in Florida, where we have all sorts of creepy-crawlies, including huge flying cockroaches that will fly right at your face! One of my friends back in high school got one of those up her pants leg during a party her parents were having; she ran screaming through the party, rapidly taking off her pants along the way, while the adults looked on in bewilderment. 😄

    I would be in hazmat gear clearing spiders with a vacuum and spraying to make sure they didn't come back lol I'm terrified of crawlies, a real phobia. I stepped on a beetle when I was little and it bit into my foot, Dad had to take me to urgent care to get it off and my whole foot had swollen up. We still don't know what kind of beetle it was but it was big.
    Picture this.. A June Bug got in the house, it was under the dining table on the floor flitting and I (in my 60's) am on a Chair with a butterfly net, crying in panic. Mom in her 80's comes to the rescue, picks it up and puts it back outside, then turns and says to me "get down before you fall down" while laughing with restraint. I appreciate your heebie jeebies not knowing where that spider went OMG! My next thought was, I bet he tossed his clothes in the washer and ran to the tub in his birthday suit - cuz that would be me 🤣 🕷🕸🏃‍♀🚿 Chateau Streaker haha
