This is a tribute to his son Conor who died as a result of an accident at the age of 4 1/2 years in 1991.
Conor tragically fell out of an apartment window!!!!
His rock/blues voice is equally great. This is as tender and quiet he gets, singing about the death of his son. BTW he's one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
This is for his son. "On 20 March 1991, Clapton's 4-year-old son Conor, whom he had with Lory Del Santo, died after falling from the 53rd-floor window of a New York City apartment belonging to a friend of Conor's mother."
😓😱😢😭 oh my god😢
Eric Clapton, only 3 time inductee into the Music Hall of Fame: With the Yardbirds, with Cream and as a solo artist. For a more "rocky/bluesy Eric Clapton listen to "Crossroads" Cream Live at Fillmore 1968 or "Layla" both the original off the album and the live acoustic version.(the acoustic goes back to the "soft voice"
Just the most poignant song of all time, utterly beautiful but utterly heartbreaking
Clips are from the Movie "Rush" - the song was used on the soundtrack - a really good movie
Beat me to it. LOL
Ich weiß wie es ist ein Kind zu verlieren und kann mit dem Song sehr gut mitfühlen auch wenn Ihn viele falsch interpretieren.
Top Lied. Liebe geht raus vom German Guy ;-)
The MTV unplugged version is also excellent ;)
One of the reasons Eric is a legend. Great singer, song writer and an astonishing guitarist. He's the real deal. We're lucky to have him. An amazing technician, So unique! 🙂 Newer versions of his material are being autotuned. Sacrilege!!!
It's amazing how something so beautiful can come from something so tragic.
Beautiful song and very powerful. As the previous post mentioned, a tribute to his son.
Yes.... also tears inmy yeys...
The inspiration for the song is heartbreaking. Makes it hard to listen to the song 😢 But Clapton is amazing!
Conner was his heart, and such a beautiful child. 4:45 It broke all of us.😢
One of the few songs that you cannot appreciate unless you know the backstory of.
Hi Emma, just try "Come On" that's my fav Oktaf Kanis banger track! :)
The saddest song in music history. R.i.p Conor.
soundtrack from movie "RUSH" On March 20, 1991, Conor Clapton, son of Eric and Lory Del Santo, fell from a skyscraper in New York. His tragic death will inspire Tears In Heaven
damn, just a day before my 4th birthday. Really puts shit into perspective.
RIP Connor
a tear jerker...

The video shown in the background is from the 1992 movie Rush to which Eric Clapton wrote the music.
