Hola!

Probably did very expensive things. You can easily get by on $20 dollars a day. I was detained multiple times on charges of terrorism, for being a spy, for trespassing (all of these accusations not true) but was able to get out of all of this due to my beautiful blue American passport. Talking to Africans who are not American living in the country they say that the government can kill nationalities of a less powerful country and no one cares about it. Talk about a waste of resources to benefit a few weapons contractors. By right everyone in America should live in a mansion rent-free if the resources of the country were shared equitably.

Amazing you learnt Spanish and not trying to put you down, as your Spanish seems pretty good, and like I said learning foreign languages (especially for us lazy native English speakers is a good thing for sure ) but anyway the point of this is if you use a collective noun such as pueblo or in this case gente then the conjugation should be third person singular not collective, so I this case present form hablar, would be la gente habla español not hablan, feel like any kind of correction like this comes off to so many people as hate, but as a native English speaker who speaks pretty much fluent Spanish and moderately advanced Russian I personally appreciate corrections as useful! Hope you do to love the content!

Hi Drew! I'm surprised you made it all the way to Equatorial Guinea. I lived with my family in Malabo for a total of 16 years, I taught a lot of people English and yes it is a wonderful country in its own right. I left there in 2013 but have so many fond memories, from shortages of all kind to how we got our water, I also have many frineds who still reach out to me 7 years later. I know that guy who took you around Lucas, he works for one of the many the ministries. I remember all too well when the build the 50+ hotel complexes at what used to be the pristine beach of Sipopo. :) We are a big deal in certain circles, historically and economically and I can definately vouch for the fact that we have the best roads in the region, and I've been to Douala on a number of occasions. Hotel Sofitel is a stone's throw from were I used to live, next to the CCEI bank

@M. P. Oh nice! Yeah, I would say the same, basically traditional face painting. If you were Bubi you would have white spots over your face, nipa palm leaves covering your body and this was generally accompanied by traditional ceremonial dances, either to welcome someone, venerate someone, or spiritual protection from evil forces, as witchcraft is a bit of a thing still there, though it is slowly dying out, as people have better things to do with their life than try to harm their neighbours or try to get rich quickly
