After 40 years, i prefer the stainless steel rubplate.....spiral versus wavy crimp. And i got lucky with a teak wood frame! Pine wood breaks after being drilled in my experience. Columbus Washboard still sells my trademarked "rhythm board"! Cheers!!!

Great video my washboard is quite large and is semi circle on the playing part
I've added an old school bell and I will be adding a cow bell once I can adapt it to be fitted to the washboard

Hi! I've seen glass washboards before (the washing/playing surface appears to be glass or something like it) - it's certainly a harsher sound, but are they playable/would you ever play one?
No they break easily!

Try any metal one until you find the one you like. They last a long time so it’s worth experimenting!! 🎯🎼🎯
