    Steady camera shots, good lighting, straight to the point - great video! (but the lack of anti-seize makes my soul bleed) :)

    Thank you for this awesome video! I was able to change my rear spring!
    I do have a little problem... it is making a metallic screeching sound when I put it in reverse. I was going to drive it around the block was afraid I would damage something. Any input on this?
    Thanks in advance and thumbs up for a great video!

      Hard to tell - but if the car is making the sound when you drive it in reverse it's either the rubber bushing from the shock absorber or the transmission . If it's making the sound when you just shift the gear ( the car is not moving ) it can be from the brakes ( normal in many situations ) or from the transmission ..

      probably too late for this now, but if you did this method, it may be that your caliper mount bolt was not tightened correctly and it's allowing the caliper to move back and forth a little. when you put the car in reverse, you generally have to hold the brakes and there is reverse pressure from the rear axle when you change gears, which causes the caliper to make a noise if it's allowed to move. mine does it too, even if it's completely tightened. the older the car, the worse the noise as rear subframe assembly, sway bars and all other components start squeaking too due to rust, loose bolts, deformation.

    Instead of replacing spring, you could replace spring's shim with a greater height.

    • @KiceDz
      @KiceDz Před 5 lety

      mine is from 2007, so it's the first version of the Aygo. I'd like to modify mine, fix my loose clutch and shifter, hence it's my first car.
