12 VALVE GIVEAWAY LAUNCHING JUNE 1ST 2018!
Video with general details: czcams.com/video/Svk460crdFk/video.html
That's all brand new trucks, not just Ford's why are you hating on Ford's so much that truck stock will drag your generic 2nd gen around the block STOCK.
Ford didn't engineer the truck for weekend warriors to work on. It's way easier to work on with the cab off. It doesn't take too much time to do it either. I've had two 6.7's now and both have been the best trucks I've ever owned. Put 173,000 on a 2011 with no issues ever. Only had to take it to Ford for an ECM update. As far as your gripe about plastic, they're all plastic. Every car manufacturer does it, with a few exceptions. Lasts longer than leather, I don't think they put wood in a vehicle? The 2011-2016 super duty's are the best HD truck ever made in my opinion. And I was a Chevy guy my entire life until I bought a powerstroke.
highly considering trading my 2017 silverado 1500 on a 2011 f250. Thoughts? And also I read that the 6.7's biggest downfall is turbo failure...how much truth is in that? and my truck has almost 50k on it and I have already replaced all injectors :( the truck I would trade on has 80k and I could trade even, maybe even get a little back...Bottom line, do you think that would be a wise trade? also, coming from a guy who loved his first Ford and wished I had never made the swap to Chevy.
Steval204 weekend warriors? You’re a joke man, ford engineered the truck so majority of owners would have to take them to a certified ford mechanic so they’ll make money off you hand over fist. Say what you want about gm and dodge but at least you can easily work on them, which is ironic cause the ford requires the most work 😂
@@skylerspringsteen5730 That's not even accurate. Lifting the cab makes it easier to work on. It is like a hr job for a experienced tech. I have owned both cummins, and fords 6.7. Ford is still the best all around truck in my opinion on newer trucks.
@@calebniederhofer6529 lmao bruh you know dam well reliability wise Cummins piss on Ford…
@@frankb3620 The emissions are the issue on all of them now. I would take the Ford, but pre 07 was completly different.
A solution to the oil drain problem is an EzOil Drain Valve, you can stick a small hose to the end of that and not make any mess at all, they have it for all sorts of threads and it will eliminate your oil going everywhere problem.
Towing a trailer the ford is way more relaxed for the driver than a dodge.
Cummins is the best engine, but I agree with you that Fords are better when just driving empty. When we were pulling a tandom dually flatbed full of hay with our 2014 F350, it was just so bumpy. But then again, my dad's is a shortbed. It's a lot better towing with a longbed.
Idk since I’ve never pulled a trailer with a pickup truck, but what my parents say is our truck pulls our trailer pretty good, and this trailer isn’t very small, it’s about somewhere around 12,000IB but I’m sure the ford does ok as it’s my second favorite truck brand first being dodge
Who said your videos are boring?! I freaking love them! Keep up the awesome work brother!!! 😍😍😍
Ahad Haider hey man, appreciate it for sure! Hope you win the cash! 🤘👌🔥💯
If not plastic, then What would you have them make all of the interior parts from?
Nice choice on interior
Black with wood looks great
The 97 SOHC 4.0 Explorers had a drain plug on the side that when removed with hot oil shoots out and hits a control arm bolt causing it to spray everywhere. When cold this is not an issue. Try changing it when it's cold.
Some states arw emissions controlled like cali and oregon. So doing a full delete or any emission mod would be voiding the warranty on any diesel.
Lots of opinionated statements about the drivetrain, without citing any credible sources.
if you want long term for the 6.7. u gotta do dpf/def delete and an egr delete and a sct tuner and that truck will run forever with no problems
The duramax has a side drain plug also. And the emissions are the same on all of the new ones. Your clapped out second gen won’t touch that 6.7 in any aspect. The ford won’t need 3 transmissions before 200k miles either.
So just wanna put this out there if you were someone who worked out of your truck you'd understand that the plastic is so that you're not wanting a bunch of flashy shit on your dash
So first I love everything in my new 2017 f250 6.7. Most beautiful nicest truck I've owned in my 71 years. Just me though
And the kingranch has fender flares which makes the wheels look like they are farther in really not hard to realize that they just stick out like a sore thumb
Sounds like you really know what you're talking about yet, you don't!
Sebastian Cortes well he’s from Indiana so...
It is really hard to work on Ford Powerstroke indeed. I had one 2008 Ford King Ranch F-450 and got a Air conditioning problem. My mechanic had to take two Radiators to access the pulley for the air conditioning.
My biggest problem with the 6.7 powerstroke is that they don’t come with a stick shift like wtf
I had a Dodge with a manual 6 speed.....trust me you get very tired of shifting it, but I would never buy a Dodge with an auto tranny ...biggest POS on the market
What do you want instead of plastic dash what does anyone else have?
That's how the drain plug is on my 94 mustang. I have a 2015 450. They changed the turbo on these engines in 15.
They actually fixed the problem in 13 believe it or not
Try changing the oil filter on a 4th gen Cummins! Pain in the ass! At least Ford makes it easy to get to!
jjruparcic yeah I guess ford doesn't have it in the wide open lol
Theirs a trick that makes it super easy, the fleet I work on is all 6.7 cummins. The right tools make it really easy
jjruparcic they're easy as fuck to change you have the correct tools for it.
I can do an oil change on my 6.7 in 30 minutes and that includes the fuel filters.
That is the one bone I have to pick with Cummins. My 07 5.9 had that same issue. Don't know about the 12V-s.
Hey I for one look forward to your post keep it up they are just mad because they more than likely drive a Pris
My 2015 pulls good but it’s been in the shop 3 times only 60k miles, a water pump, radiator replacement and big oil leak. 🤷🏾♂️
Need to use 5 gallon bucket to drain oil.
I know several hotshots with 4-500,000 miles on bone stock everything. No problems.
Great video keep up the good work
Brandon 03 thanks!
My GMC Sierra had an oil drain plug like that. I hated it. Always wanted to get a 90 elbow to make it drain straight down. Never understood why they’d do that.
is this louder with crowder?
The old trucks actually has the drain plugs on the side my 99/00 have it like that it sucks cause the flow slowly moves but it is what it is. Get a big drain plug and expect it to shoot out and make a mess.
i own a 2105 and i agree....also i hate that they put the rear speakers behind the seats! well the size of the seat blocking the sound
Good video. but quick question isn't all turbos in diesels for Ford Chevy and Dodge made by Turbo companies not buy that car maker??
As far as the oil drain plug goes you could build some sort of "wall" that won't let it spray out over the pan
Put in a 90degree spigot
The newer 6.7 turbos are fine and the emissions aren't as big a deal as CZcamsrs make them out to seem especially if you use a additive in your fuel you will not clog the DPF
What year is this? What turbo would you recommend? Oil Drain plug fix?
You can add a screw in plug with a down turn on it to solve this. You can also add a plastic tube to the end of it when draining the oil.
All new vehicles bays are crammed like that, not just Fords
Loud n proud don't let the haters get to you ur vids are great and you know more than the average 17 year old when it comes to trucks 🤷🏻♂️👍
Dallas Hoffman appreciate the commentary👌👌🔥

LOUD 'N' PROUD love the videos. Do you live somewhere that you can delete all of that crap? I don't so I have kept my 7.3L and my 6.0L. The 6.0L I internally welded the EGR and it passes emissions just fine.
What year is your Ford 6.7 diesel
I agree with most of it but the drain plugs most vehicles have the drain plug on the side of the pan even Benz, bmw, jag, all have them on the side of the pan.
Pretty much Ford has the best looking interior compared to Chevy/GMC & Dodge
im bout to buy one but ur right, best interior but damn this shit hits heavy in the pocket still gonna buy it cuz im stupid, however, im fucking stupid so imma buy this fucker tomorrow 6.7 250 its clean AS FUCK
@@ironik86 Well, did you buy it?
My drain plug on my 2010 dodge ram 1500 is in the front but slanted, not so messy
Looking at another truck, think on my of exhaust manifold bolts is broke
Also stance wasn’t on the drawing board building these trucks. The way these trucks hit the dealership is how they go down the road the best and the safest.
From what I’ve gathered from this video is that he doesn’t like the plastic
How about some image stabilization???
older gm trucks have the oil drain plug on the side of the oil pan.
Reason why your tires are inside the fender see you don't turn around in Thor rocket somebody's windshield and shatter it or throw a rock off your tires and hit somebody's vehicle Michael say a motorcycle that's the safety of it
Clay Fist yeah I just notice how dodges sit more flush is all and I'm not a fan of a narrow rear end on a heavy duty is all..
LOUD 'N' PROUD The reason why I make comments is because I'm 50 years old and I used to be a mechanic after I had my stroke I'm retired only thing I'm doing is just want to see your your CZcams channel do good and people are just giving you grief sometimes just The toughen you up so you can turn around to do good on your channel that's all you can ask me any question you want on any truck that you have and I'll give you my honest answer and the right way doing it because some people will tell you the wrong way but I'll tell you the right thing that's all I'm saying keep up the good videos I don't take the remarks to Sirius we're not trying to criticize you were just trying to help you you said you're young I'm just trying to help you as a young fella to do good not too bad keep up the good work
Clay Fist www.rollinsmokediesel.com/cat_11-16_6_7l_powerstroke.cfm
How about that oil filter location
I used to be a ram guy but I did change so let’s talk about Daimler Chrysler (ram) garbage. Yes the Cummins is a great motor but the rest of the truck is a throw away.
90 percent of the work is actually done cab on and is fairly easy to do. I've done a lot with cab on
My 02 Sierra shoots oil out like that. It's pretty normal.
jaydenmansfield95 I'm saying compared to all the vehicles I've ever done.. this is the first to be so messing during an oil change.
so did my 2012 Dodge
I agree with the side mount drain plug, it sucks. Unfortunately, my Benz is also side mount drain plug.
The 2015-2016 6.7 had a better bigger turbo
and i was looking for info on these trucks of before i buy.. not how crammed it is in the engine bay, and how the wheels don't stick out enough lmao
I'm saying it how it is and pointing out what stands out to me. Take it as it is.
i gotcha, the title just threw me off. no hate lol
Ethan A sane here
I want a dash made of steel and iron.
Right? What material is EVERYTHING on every other vehicle out there made of? Oh yeah, plastic. Were you hoping for shag carpet?
BradOmedic he was mocking the guy in the video idiot.
@@lucasshort8754 so was BadOmedic..... IDIOT
All you need is a delete and tune and it’s fine. And way more power than the older diesels
My work truck is a superduty, I love the truck but it's been far from reliable.
Another perk about cummins, very open and easy to work on!
Gavin Steiling yeah because you have to work on em all the time😂😂
Gavin Steiling yup. And rarely have to fix as well.
I have emailed 2x on merchandise bought from you that you have received payment for. Please return my money or send the merchandise!
Hey did you resolve your issue or did he scam you?
You're correct about the emissions junk! The back pressure is terrible for these engines
Kenneth Barbee oh I know...
Uh I’m pretty damn certain that the turbo problems only pertained from 2011 when the 6.7 was introduced up until early 2012 models, where they used weaker ceramic ball bearings instead of stronger steel ball bearings....
Joshua Wood how do u check if the turbo is bad
Obviously u dont know that all the other diesels have dpf and alot of emissions stuff on the new diesels. Your just hating on the 6.7 when u know nothing about diesels kid.
That's why they make skid plates for the bottom of your engine
Well powerstroke turbos 2011 up are made out of polyurethane ball bearing turbos that's why the fail. I don't know if ford fixed that ? Not sure.
Ford should make a new truck where they pay the emissions fine and then mark up the price a bit to make money. At least I heard that they did something like that with their old vans, like it couldnt fit the 6.4 so they paid a fine to keep the 6.0... Was this just something made up or is it possible?
The plastic dash is for im guessing cheaper to make the dash
Wow.. you dont know a thing about those trucks.. and I have seen several of those 6.7s over 280k already and people love them and I live in michigan with the most terrible roads and equally terrible weather.. and work at a Ford dealer
ALL new cars and trucks are a pain to work on. Not just ford
not uncommon drain plugs have been there for years, most of them are.
So is the plastic ok? Everyone knows the EGR is not good for diesel trucks, but they are on every truck. Just take it off? I’m pretty sure there is a lot of research with millions of diesel engines on the road, the factory probably isn’t doing things to wreck the engine. Good maintenance will provide longevity.
Nice videos!!!! Keep up the good work!! Could you send me a link to your otro song it is amazing!!! Thx
Diesel Squad don't have a link on hand. But it's -Your Year (Prod. Kid Peace) - Bazanji
I don’t agree with the working on the Truck part it’s not actually that hard to work on them at all even with the cab on
Bailey Moore depends what you're doing I guess...
How much does he really know about trucks???
The interiors on chevy and gmc trucks use almost all plastic on top of that the plastic is thin as hell gm is by far the worst for interior quality I personally really like the rugged plastic in the Fords
NICE HAT
I think they put the plug there so It won't get broke off
How many plugs have you seen broken off on bottom plugged oil pans? I'm 71, been working on cars since the 1960's, and have never seen a drain plug break off.
MrTommy001 with a lot of off-roading it's possible. I'm not an expert just a weekend wrench and I figure if it looks like it can happen it probably will at some point.
You are going to break a lot more than just a drain plug if you are hitting something like that there.....
I busted my oil filter off my 2015 from hitting a traffic cone that's the only complaint is have with my 6.7 and I've owned a 2007.5 lmm duramax and a 2013 Cummins 6 speed I dont think you can go wrong with any diesel myself they all have flaws this guy is just nit picking stupid shit that all the trucks have lol
That’s why 7.3 is best.
They slow bro!
I love kids that dont do their research. Emissions dont hurt the 11s and up as long as you dont idle around town. Thatll clog any filter up as your brain is filled up with what you "think you know." As far as working on it, the same concept as working on any engine. Heat fuel and air buddy. Ive had a 2006 6.0, 2010 6.4, and now a 2016 6.7. Loved every single one of them. Had my fair share of problems, as the same with all my buddies Duramax's and Cummin's. Hate working on them all equally.
Complaining of the tires. Put 35 x 12.5s on it. Problem solved. Fit them STOCK.
I just laugh at every video i see of kids not knowing crap about trucks.
For a kid who likes his old dodge diesel you sure opiniated. I have had Ford diesel for 15 years and the oil plug is just fine where it is. I do all the maintenance myself and not sure what you are complaining about. Somehow somewhere somebody has to think about the environment? I enjoyed your older videos on the dodge diesel. It’s too bad that they wonder. I like my trucks to go straight down the road. The 6.7 engine and transmission combo is a fantastic thing. I pull 18,500 lbs with a 2014 all summer long camping and it simply rocks. Stop trashing trucks that you don’t know anything about kid
My old 2002 f350 had the same one
Early 6.7s, aka the 2011's, had the shitty turbos. The 2011 through 2014s used a siamese turbine wheel rather than a compound turbo set up. The 2015 and 2016 powerstrokes used a Garret GT37 turbo which was much better in terms of efficiency. So to say "they" have bad turbos is...eh. I will agree partially with you on the emissions junk. It's a shame but that's the EPA for you. I can't stand the way Ford chose to set it up. Injecting excess fuel into one cylinder bank to raise egt's just seems like a dumb idea. They eventually went to a tune where both banks injected fuel but still dumb imo. I like the Duramax set up with the 9th injector in the exhaust if I had to leave it factory. Tires sitting inside the fender well is normal for a factory trucks. I've owned a lot of Chevys and a lot of Fords. They were all like that from the factory. That's what the aftermarket is for. As far as the oil pan goes, well, 13 qts of oil with a drain plug that's mounted on the side of the pan rather than the bottom of the pan....let's just say I expected it to do that lol
I have the same truck except 8' bed. I love my truck. If you hate it, sell it.
James Hickey it’s dads truck lol. I don’t care what he does with it.
I'm buying one what do u get for millage what are your maintenance techniques
Straight pipe EGR delete done
It sucks they did all that junk with the motors, but all said and done they can tow waaaay more weight than the older trucks, im talking well over 10,000 pounds more, so its a give and take depends on what you want or need them for i guess.
They made it like that with the drain plug on the oil pan so you can go to the dealer and do it at all change that's what they made them for vehicles all new Ford vehicles like that they want you to go to the dealer that's why they're making it so hard for regular people to do it
Clay Fist talk about strictly business lol
Remove the cab from the frame to work on the engine
Welp I’m out.
All of my Ford F250 dash from 89 until 16 all have been plastic.
Take the oil fill cap off when you drain it. If you dont like the truck go buy a shit box chevy
The def and dpf systems on the 6.7 really work right. So i disagree to your point on that. Although i do not like the systems they do work on those trucks.
Ford GT they kill the trucks over time... they seriously choke them out over the years.... it's terrible
i have a friend that is a diesel mechanic and he's torn into motors that have that crap on them with low miles and theres soot built up in the intake and cylinder heads
I may be one of the lucky ones but my 12 f350 dually has 349,000 miles on it bone stock!!! And runs like a champ
These trucks have 2x the power of a 7.3, get similar fuel mileage and produce 1/100 the emissions. I'd say they work pretty damn well.
Straight pipe
Delete the dpf after the warranty
Doesn’t kill your motor. It clogs up and your stuck on the side of the road. That’s it.
Thumbs up.
Dude thats all vehicles with the plastic, and there is still hope for weekend warriors about motor work because i went non vgt turbo and did a BD Turbo kit upgrade with the cab on. You should really look at the new the dodge as well... all plastic, sorry =( believe me im a dodge man and i honestly have to say, i think ford got it right with the 6.7.
Lifting the cab is not even a big deal . It is like a hr labor for a pro.
I just seen a video 6.7 powerstroke 327k miles all stock
Are you kidding me kid, they are built to last. And their more powerful than any other diesel truck in the Industry. Go to school and learn about these damn trucks. Not evething is perfect but the superduty is bad ass!!!
Jeff Horn did I say it wasn’t powerful? Did I say it wasn’t built to last? Chill hoss. And open your ears maybe.
Plastic is fine saves weight... you are over reacting even with changing the oil it’s really not a big deal.
I bought new 6.7 in 2012 worst buy ever CEL limp mode multiple times. DEF issues. Got rid of it back to gas for me stayed with Ford Superduty
Man if youve never seen a drain plug like that you've never wrenched and i completely stopped watching when you suggested drilling a hole im the oil filter lol. If you dont have oil in your armpit did you even change the oil?
Again the reason why they did all this so you would take it to the dealer and have them work on it that's what Fortune does that's what Dodge does that's what Chevrolet does gets the money out of us who buys these new trucks don't know where all this stuff is and we have to turn around and pay them to fix it because of all this labor to take everything apart just to get some little sensor or a little washertell us something we don't know
Clay Fist yeah for sure
We took out the front of the truck that's how work on the fords
Ford's are the best because my poppa has one and and its the best one we were on empty and we made it to at least hucks and put diesel in it so Ford's are not bad
