Just bought a 1999 7.3 with 450 thousand on the body. And it looks great. It is an auction truck. I looked at it and the front end was rebuilt and the motor looks new, Also no blowby at all hmmmm. It is a 4x4 4dr. I drove it 250 miles home 17 mpg I was amazed. Also the transmission shifts hard and quick so it seems to have been rebuilt also. I love it so far. It replaced a 97 4x4 dodge ram 5.9 the rams motor was great however the body and the front end was horrible. The diesel mileage is about the same. This ford drives ten times better I really hope it holds up new to the 7.3 but so far I am happy. Only thing not working is the cruise control.

Excellent video man I looked at one the other day kept stalling and you would have to cycle the key off then on while driving. Broken off oil cap oil all over parts of the motor blowing blue smoke and blew the water pump while driving sounded like engine was missing real bad. I actually told the guy he could pay me to take it off his hands. Pissed me off like you I drove an hour and a half because he told me it runs great. Didn't know you could check compression that way that will help on the next one I look at. The last one made me more interested in another cummins. Thanks for the video

While what you said about Injectors being the problem over anything else like glow plugs for problems starting in the cold is actually correct glow plugs are 100% an important thing to maintain especially when you live in a climate where you can see a foot of snow or more drop over night and minus 20-30 degrees over night is not uncommon
