    I love the crackling of a fire. I heat my house with an old fisher stove. When it cools off outside I can't wait to build a fire in it but after 4 months I can't wait to not build a fire anymore lol

    In my opinion a carburetor has to be OEM that’s about the only thing the aftermarket manufacturers can’t get right. Love me some Tinman! 👍🤙

      @aaronpowell4885 Před 2 lety +1

      Yep. Unless MAJOR corrosion is a problem, it's almost always better to rebuild OEM than replace with aftermarket carbs.

      In my experience the cheap aftermarket carbs I have purchased about 1 out of 4 are any good

    Awesome video man, thanks for sharing. My ported 254xp was flooding bad when I got it back. The porter walked me through adjusting that lever (was too high) and it has run perfect since. I believe mine does not have the nub that hooks in, it just rests on the lever. Need to check and see which carb it has. Also, the fire was beautiful. Almost time for our first fire of the year. We heat 100% with a free standing old HearthStone stove. Love it!

This content is unbelievable. After watching your explanation, I feel even a vanilla gorilla like myself can give er a shot! Thanks!

    Great, detailed explanation👍 over the years I've rebuilt many, many carburetors. And of the handheld 2 cycle variety, I've see few enough Tillotson's I can count them on one hand. Here in se New Mexico USA I'd say 95+% are walbro or zama with a few Chinese clones. Loving this channel! Can hardly wait for the next video!

    Good stuff again, like the detailed explanation about the diaphragm on the pump side. I also don't lean on my saws. If you sharpen you chain properly it will pull itself through. If you are leaning on it, it is a good indicator that you have waited to long to touch it up. If your out cutting (falling and bucking) a cord or two it makes for a long day if your saws not sharp and a tired back if your leaning on it all day. Cutting 20 to 40 cords a year, year after year it will wear you out. The anticipation of seeing this saw in the wood is killing me but loving the step by step build. Mahalo Tinman....🤙

  • @ToddKing
    @ToddKing Před 2 lety

    So they provide you with a pump diaphragm specifically for ethanol blended fuel and you use mostly ethanol blended fuel but you purposely choose not to use the diaphragm made for use with ethanol blended fuel. Huh? You say you've never had a problem but that doesn't explain why you wouldn't use the part made for your situation.
