Makers cask is sooooo good. Great Drinkthrough. Like it when you review items that I actually can find. Makers is the bourbon that you buy to enjoy.
Maker's CS $27.99 where I'm at. I buy multiples all the time
I find the se4-pr5 to have a nice sweet oak finish without having a tannic bite or bitterness.
Oh yeah Maker's row 😆. Love Maker's classic and all of the new expressions
I had a hell of a time finding the SE4. Been checking four local stores, regularly, for about the past month. Finally scored a bottle on Friday. Paid about $60 for it. Can't wait to crack it open!!!
Nice drink through boys! Love the 12 year age stated Makers request. I passed on RC6, wish I grabbed one. SE4xPR5 is a great bottle, better than the Private Select I bought. I should pick up a few more Private Select Makers to see how much they vary. Cheers!🥃👍🇺🇸

For me the RC6 is more complex.... however the SE4-PR5 wins because of the finish. But I like oak tannins, creamy caramel and vanilla.
mix the rc6 with se4, you guys a pretty spot on with the makers lineup

The smaller mom and pop stores that dont carry much allocated Whisky are more likely to get it. I often find them getting last years Whiskies, store by me has 6 RC6 on the shelf.

Agree with Dillon that there needs to be a 12 year cask.

I've been mixing cask strength with 46 reg at 3:1 and I like it even better than just the cask strength...it keeps that cask bite and initial taste with a fuller body and fuller finish...best of both worlds...
Excellent choice for a drink through guys. I haven’t had any of these yet. Glad to hear the regular Cask Strength is readily available for $35, cause those limited release ones are like $70 to $80 in so cal where I’m at.

@@newmennium They had a fallout when they were bourbon guild, thus creating new channel with new name and having to start from scratch. Its not that hard to figure out.

Isn't Maker's going into the barrel at 114 proof? Not going to be seeing many in the 120s at bottling. Poor Dillon.

Makers CS is $100 CAD up in Canada and I prefer it over Old Forester prohibition for $80 and many more
Never tried the RC6, but recently tasted the PR5. I really enjoyed the PR5, for the same reason that I love the Woodford Double Oaked. It's so different that it really fits a niche, like a craving. Sometimes I just really want that extra smokiness of the double oaked, sometimes I might really want the creaminess of the PR5. Sadly it wasn't my bottle, and I didn't buy my own the one time I saw it in the store, so I'm not likely to get any more tastes.
P.S. I don't have a great palate, and I have a terrible nose (sinus issues), so maybe I just need those extremes to really get something different.
Makers 46 cask no longer listed on their website. Grab it while you can.
the RC6 is the best bourbon I and my club ever had, we purchased 6 bottles when it came out last year and there's only one bottle left, I had to hide it and put one away in the safe , We have every bottle of pappy out for people to enjoy and the MM Rc6 is by far the best ever made of any bourbon. plus Van Winkle is overrated My club of 49 man think lol , but don't tell anyone please lol .ty for the review

Maker's like you guys was my first bourbon, but i think Mellow Corn is better than Maker's. Maker's is a scam IMO and perhaps it was actually good for a couple decades pre-80s but since then they've sold out so many times. Anyhow the JUICE is just terrible now. Slogan used to be "tastes expensive...and is." Neither rings true anymore.
Big miss not tasting standard makers mark at 45% abv widely available apart from the 46 will never see these come on guys tell us why pay so much more 🧐
