A quick tutorial on how to connect 2 PCs directly with a Crossover LAN cable to transfer data fast. - Věda a technologie
The only tutorial that is meticulous enough to teach to the extent of no errors!
Works beautifully and saves my life when I have a 1mbps internet speed. Crushes it with 50-100MB/s transfer.
Awesome, I'm happy to hear that. :)
Man!!! You're the boss!! You have made it so easy. I've been watching so many videos and not get through, but your tutorial did it on the first try!! Nuff respect, from a grateful Jamaican!! Big up!!
Thank you, I'm glad my video could help you setting this up. :)
It actually worked. I tried so many other tutorials but never got a foolproof solution. This is epic. Thank you so much.
You're welcome. I'm happy it worked for you! :)
Thank you! Instead of 5 hours 30 mins i got it done in 22 minutes!
how big was the file?
I needed to transfer 1TB of media files between my computers. I was about to purchase an external hard drive for this, but then I found this video. It saved me a lot of time and money. Thank you.
You're very welcome. :)
omg it actually worked! this was a pretty short and straightforward tutorial for such a complicated process, good job!
Oh thank you!!!! I am so appreciative of the straightforward and no bs tutorial. Easy to follow and works like a charm! You are an absolute legend!
I'm happy it all worked out for you!
Thank you for your super kind words!
This has been an extremely useful tutorial! I'm really excited that it's just this easy! I _figured_ it could be done this way, using the Ethernet port, but I was never completely sure. Thanks!
You're very welcome! Thanks for your kind words. :)
This has been super useful! Just got a new computer, and really needed a quick way to transfer my files over!
Thank you so much for this video. Really more helpful than many videos watched on CZcams.
I knew a different way but this is a lot better. Thank you so much! You have safe my life. I Love you
You're welcome. I'm happy I could help. :)

WORKS EVEN WITH A REGULAR ETHERNET WIRE! THANK YOU A LOT
Watched lots of videos and this is the only one that worked. Thanks!
THAT YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!! Really made it clear and fast.
I tried with a straight through cable...and its working very good...

many years ago this was how I made most if not all my transferred made file mostly Auto Cad size where large also put on CD 750MB FED-EX to others, thanks for the video
Oh, nice! Thank you. :)
Thank you, other videos arent as... specific. Had a bad router computer to router to computer connection that was 10-20MBz, now with a Crossover cable skipping the router IT IS 113MBz!!!!! this saved me a bunch of money from having to get a router that could handle the workload. they still have ports to connect to the router as well so 2 network connections each.
Thank you so much bro, this is the only video that solved my issue for months.
Very useful and clear tutorial. Many thanks!
OMG, thank you so much. God bless you man..... It's like my years old wish

You're welcome. :)

Thankyou your tutorial was very helpful
You're welcome. Thank you for watching. :)
So much help, thanks mann!
if you're getting 10MB/second throughput, go to device manager on both machines and set adaptor to run @ gigabit speed. Obviously if the adaptor supports it (most do these days). Its a such a quick and easy way to transfer large amounts of data especially if you're a home user on home plugs/ wifi.
what are the steps?
Steps !??
Ok. WTF, this actually worked.
i did ran into some errors like
"You Can't Access This Shared Folder' because your organization's security policies block.
" but i looked it up and fixed it and then it was working perfectly fine.
Thanks a lot
Edit: My speed however, was around 10Mbps. i wonder if anyone else had that problem....
speed depends on the cable you're using, there are many cable categories, such as cat6, cate-5 ...etc
Speed depends on your network card and your cable.
You're awesome, pal.
Thnx. It was super helpful
Thank you for sharing such an informative video. Please share a video where a network printer can be shared with two different networks.
thanks!
it worked!
amazingly explained
Omg!.. thank you man ❤️ you are the best..
Happy I could help! :)
شكراً جزيلاً thank you❤️
Regular Ethernet cable worked for me last time I've done this, Crossover cables are not needed, maybe they are for older network cards, I actually dunno.
Crossover is used to connect two devices of the same type like pc to pc or switch to switch however many devices today support auto MDI-X capability also network cards support auto MDI-X capability
You can do it over a network, but a direct pc to pc network using a 1m crossover cable is theoretically faster. I cut off the end of an ISP ethernet cable and rewired it to create my own crossover cable :)
It's supposed part of the "spec" that if both devices have a Gigabit Ethernet NIC and you use any Cat6 cable the magic of Cat6 will operate as both a regular "patch cable" as well as a cross-over cable as needed. If either of the device have a 10/100 only NIC or you use a Cat5 cable this does not work.
Modern network cards can do the crossing internally by themselves. So whether you use straight or crossover, it doesn't matter.
Thanks a lot man I just transferred my data via a straight through ethernet cable. And I did everything the same as you except the default gateway to the other PC's IP address for both PCs. The transfer speed was 30/50Mbps it took me around 3 hours to transfer like 300GB so I'm happy with that! It would take so much longer if I had to put it to my external HDD (which is limited on storage) and then transferring it to the other PC.
Epic tutorial, thanks
Very helpful thank you
Thank you so much 🥀 you saved my time
Thank you so much
Excellent, thank you!
Thanks bro now i know how to transfer 24 gb file within 22 mnutes... Love u bro !
1 no. Samjhaye h chacha.....
Thank you so much sir 🙏...great tutorial ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!! 💗
You're so welcome! :)
used a straight through and still works
Awesome!
Works well, finally i can transfer my 104gb gta 5 files from my 2011 potato pc to my new gaming pc in just 30 minutes from 7 hours using wifi, from nearly 2 days redownloading the whole game
Bro remove the ssd/hdd and put it inside your new pc
@@madworker1927 Idk how to do that since it's a laptop, little bit harder than pcs, plus that hdd is like a $15 hdd that's slower than the world's slowest object on earth, so
Even if i do managed to do it, both of the device is a laptop so i'm not 100% sure if you even can plug a second hdd in there to transfer the old files to a new ssd, and like i said, i dont want to use the old hdd because it's damn slow
I got lost as soon as u mentioned Win10, but it /is/ a nice video, very calming voice. thanks anyway!
Thank you! :)
Thank you so much!!!!!
You're very welcome! :)

You're welcome! :)
Great Video. The static IP part is not that clear for me. Should it be any class C IP to type in, where did you exactly get those IPs?
thank you so much :)
Danke Schoen fuer die hilfe ;)
Hello bro.... You are the best.... Thanks very much for this wonderful tutorial video......
I tested it and it worked perfectly..... Thanks much...
So happy it worked for you! You're welcome. :)
Hi
Thanks for this video.
Followed all the steps.
No joy. Get "access permissions" errors.
Seems like packets have been transferred but also have "no network access" under IPv4/6 connections.
Could this be due to not using a cross over cable?
Thanks
thank you
thanks a lot really you helped me
Glad to hear that! :)
Thanks! Thumbs up!
Thank you it worked :))
Brilliant stuff! Wasted my time for other crap.
Thanks you bro
This is fun!
Thanks
Thanks a lot. Never thought it would be so simple.Tried to email a 50 gb folder to myself and the compressing took forever.
Glad I could help!
If I may ask, what compression tool did you try using? :)
