Right click n/w icon on desktop and go into n/w and internet settings. Go into advanced network settings, then advanced sharing settings. Expand private networks and turn on discovery and sharing, should work now.

This worked, but it required an extra step as of Windows 10 22H2, going to a Windows 11 system, as of March 2023. You may not need it, but you may. I had to go to the All Networks dropdown in the Network and Sharing Center, and turn everything to Yes. I also enabled media streaming in this menu, but that may not have been necessary. I also have to do this every time I reboot the PC. BUT, it works. Thank you sir.

Then in the file explorer menu whatever folder you wanna share you can just right click and follow the instructions given in the video. If not, just check your File and Printer sharing option under "Advance Nertwork Sharing Options" in control panel. Hope you get this.

I'm still learning about different networks. So with this Peer to Peer (P2P) type of setup where each LAN ethernet interfaces are connected, are you still able to connect to the internet via wifi?
In Windows Home editions Secpol.msc is not preinstalled, you can find the script on the internet and it will install it on home editions of windows, if you can’t find it I can sent you a link
You are likely running Win10 Home rather than Win10 Pro. It's a simple fix tho just Google "add Group Policy Editor to Windows 10 Home with PowerShell"

what do you mean by Lan cable ? Do you mean ethernet cable with RJ45 connector ? Because very few , if any, laptops now have such ports. Perhaps with an adapter to a usb-c port .

hi, how did you manage it, did you used cross over cable or stright . he mised this point, as pc to pc need crose over, pc to router cross over
@@thamerjawad4967 Most newer computers in the last 8 years or so, auto sense the cables, so no cross over needed
