Omaha Zoo Railroad Star Brass 5 Chime (Compatilation)

The Omaha Zoo Railroad had a slight issue at the start of the 2022 season, their whistle on their flagship locomotive was having issues. With this the hold in would be Kevin Bush's Star Brass 5 Chime from a UP 2-10-2 (From 5511 but not confirmed). The whistle sounded great all year with the crews doing a great job of maintaining it. This whistle actually sounds nice on the 119. However, when 5511 was sent to Silvis, it was still seen with its whistle on.

It is indeed a Star Brass 5 chime. Even the title of the video says it is. Also, in the description, even though it’s not confirmed to be UP 2-10-2 #5511’s whistle, it definitely IS from a Union Pacific steam locomotive.

It actually makes a lot of sense that they would put a Star Brass 5 chime on 119, as it is based on Union Pacific 119. Union Pacific made heavy use of Star Brass 5 chimes as freight locomotive whistles. If Union Pacific 119 had lasted longer, it might have been fitted with a 5 chime.
