CFR 104: Return to Steam

On July 3, 2023, the Omaha Zoo Railroad annoced that their biggest locomotive, CFR 104 was returning to service. We went out to see the locomotive that had been freshly painted and was fresh from rebuild.

Looks sharp and like new again! This 1890s makeover should definitely translate to 119 next.

The current appearance of the locomotive represents its appearance in the 1890s when it was first built. All lights have been removed, its pilot has been modified, and cosmetic stenciling has been reapplied.

Henery passed away a year and a half ago….Unfortunately he did not live to see this project on riva.
