Shindler's List was filmed because of a flutist, Steve Ross, who helped write the screenplay.
I heard that story too.
I remember playing this in college. I never seen the movie, I love the music, and the solo. After the car accident, I couldn't play this solo for the flute for a long time. Hopefully after years of practice I can play this solo again.

How to play the low b? I just got the piece recently and im struggling to play the note while playing this music. I love this piece and wanna practise more to make it more perfect. It would be much appreciated if you can make a video about it or please just explain to me. Thanks!
Hmm I wonder if there may be a leak in the foot joint. I would have someone be with you when you play and lightly press the last key on the footjoint while playing. If it suddenly sounds like a B it may be a leak in the joint. Also some people with open hole flutes, while playing low B the ring finger might not be covering the hole. Try those things and see what happens. Best of luck.

If you have a B footjoint as opposed to a C footjoint (one less physical key) the fingering is your pinky on all the tiny levers beside the Eb key on the footjoint.

I just started studying the flute, and well... I can't do anything! but every day before starting with the exercises, I listen to this piece, because this is the sound I would like to come out of my flute.
