- Today on RC Overload I take a look at the all new Dynamite GPS Speed Meter. This has to be one of the most handy tools and accessories you could get for your RC addiction!

Overview
Dynamite's GPS Speed Meter and Tracker provides car/truck, boating and air enthusiasts with a compact, portable and easy to use GPS device for tracking everything from top speed reached to locations of their model. The unit's compact size and ultra light weight allows for it to be utilized in various applications including everything from large scale aircraft to 1/10th or smaller radio control cars/trucks/boats.
Thanks to the units built-in WASS/EGNOS/MSAS/RTCM (Global Positioning compatibility by country or region), the unit can be used anywhere in the world. The unit uses 10Hz refresh rate providing extremely fast response to changes in the models position while the units low power consumption provides the user with up to 4 hours of uninterrupted tracking time.
The unit's LCD screen provides real-time data feedback and it's waterproof design allows for use in virtually all weather conditions. You can also use the Dynamite GPS Logger* software to map your drive, flight, jog, swim, etc. using Google mapping products.
The LCD screen will display average, current, and peak speed. As well as current and max altitude, total distance, and GPS coordinates.
The Traxxas Rustler is a stock Rustler with the stock brushed motor in it. I was running a 2s 5000MAH lipo in it for testing.

You can use OBS, which is open broadcasting software, to record stuff on your computer. It is open source, and completely free.
Program will not work on my windows 10 puter. I was able to change kph to mph, but get no map picture or anything else. Will not change time etc. etc.
It's Probably going to be a telemetry data port It'll probably work with some of the spectrum receivers
Do you need to calibrate the speed meter
this does GNSS, not GPS. Parallel searching channels means any 32 at a time. There are 24 Russian GLONASS and 24 American GPS satellites in orbit
Brian Su, not to nit pick but it would be more correct to say this does GNSS which INCLUDES GPS.
It would be nicer if you could use this to get all that data in real time on a separate screen. It would also be nicer if it were a bit smaller as well, that thing looks huge and it would be very useful for RC planes which are huge balancing act. Also, Fraps is a free screen capture software btw.
+Fun4Change its actually a lot smaller then it looks. It fits in almost every rc i have without any issues really. And ill look into that fraps program. Thanks!
The software comes with a watermark, but you can upgrade from the free version if you want. Do you know how much it weighs in grams by chance? Idk if you have a scale that sensitive or not, but it would be nice to know. Also, do you know if there is a live feed version of this?
