The first red flag is that $10,000 to start a Company 🤦🏽♂️The filing fee shouldn’t cost more than $500-$1000 most. Trust no one when it comes to money especially large sums
@@fhenlizhao5406 and with large sums a Chartered Accountant with current credentials is actually better than a lawyer. A lawyer will steal your money legally and it may takes decades of chasing him. A CA could lose their credential on ONE complaint.

First of all, this woman was _desperate_ after trying to shop her script and then she went to LinkedIn and met a man who said he knew *EVERYBODY*. Those 2 ingredients were a total disaster and scam just waiting to happen. 🙄 There are plenty of people willing to sit with baseball gloves and fishing nets to catch that money that you just want to throw away. Investigate thoroughly the people who claim great things for you when you could do things for yourself before dropping tons of money for something.

This is a variation on the Arab loan scheme that was big in the 70's and 80's. The con men would tell people they could get millions from the Arabs by putting Arab money in their bank. The pretext was that under Muslim law, they are not allowed to charge interest, so the mark was to put all these millions in his own account and then keep a percentage and rebate the interest back to the Arabs. Of course, as soon as they were hooked on the con, the fees and charges for bank accounts and lawyers would start mounting up, and most people who were hooked could not stop and cut their losses. These cons are all a variation on the con known as the Spanish prisoner going back to the time of the Spanish Armada.
Bet other people will come forward after this story broke.

I love how the greedy use greed to rip off others. All you gotta do is tell them you believe in them, and the purse opens. You should always go through legit sources and if you're denied, then accept and work on that.

if you've never had ACCUMULATED CAPITAl to manage it doesn't matter if you're a Ph.D. or Nobel Laureate. It's not the same thing. I got a senior a back check for 38 grand and she had never had REAL money. So she lent it to two guys she went to school with, who had ZERO ability to repay. I was choked. I spent two years of my priv\ate time getting her her back pay for free. Should have kept the money, put it into a new engine in myh moving biz, and give her a percentage every months of the company proceeds. She needed to be on an allowance.

This is basically the nigerian prince scam, just note elaborate. But they should have known that this sounded really fishy when those huge numbers got thrown about...
