These are not really better than zippy inserts, but a whole lot cheaper. So if you can’t afford the real ones for whatever reason, this is a good alternative.
Love the concept. Love that you can customize certain trainer blades this way. My only critique would be that, every time that you cut off any excess material, you cut from right to left with your right hand, directly toward your left index finger that was holding the balisong down. Rule #1 when using razor knives, or any cutting tools, really, is that you always cut away from yourself. If you slip just a little bit, you slice right into your left hand index finger. If you were cutting to the right and slipped, you'd swing the razor into open air. Just a suggestion for future projects. I'm an older flipper and have worked around knives a lot in my life. You'd be surprised at how many people just make one tiny mistake and suddenly need stitches.
Hey, I appreciate your kind words. I really know I shouldn’t be cutting like this but for some reason I feel like I have way more control when cutting this way. At least that’s what I think. But yeah, I do get that I should try to cut the other way. I‘ll try to do it next time and if I can’t I’ll tell everybody not to do what I’m doing 😂😅
This is such a Fing good tutorial...I know how to make those glow in the night stuffs with AB glues but it's very hard to do. Your tutorial vids are all in a super premium level... Amazing!!!!
You're too humble dude. I'm surprised that how good this ended up looks. Zippy inserts are great but very expensive to ship to my country, this will be a great ALT for it.. Definately will try that on my orion trainer. It lacks just a tiny bit of blade weight. @@robinesch29
I read about it on Reddit first but haven’t seen anyone show them and I thought of doing the weights myself. Doesn’t mean I’m the only one to do it though 😁
this deserves more views
Definitely

And I like the finger you got. They are made by STEEL cuz hot glues are hot, at least for me. My skin is girlly weak🥺@@robinesch29
Man i live in eu and for the price + shipment and import tax i could buy armed shark one xd cant wait to try it
I love you for this
Super cool! I wonder if resin would work well too. That's what modders use for things like blade fullers (the groove's on some blades).
Not a big fan of inserts but this is pretty cool. I don’t know about hot glue, why doesn’t it stick to what’s underneath?
Hi!
It doesn’t stick because the glue is not sticky anymore after it’s dried. And since the surface is flat is doesn’t stick permanently.
do a tutorial on handle caps
I did this and it made my vulp way better sounding and flipping
Glad it helped!
Did you come up with this idea on your own? Thats genius.😮
I read about it on Reddit first but haven’t seen anyone show them and I thought of doing the weights myself. Doesn’t mean I’m the only one to do it though 😁

What size weight did you use?
3mm steel balls. You can get them on AliExpress but probably Amazon too
