Differences of the Serif Types

- been both seeing confusion and been asked several times about what makes the new serifs different from the older ones and/or how to tell which is which, so i decided to make a video about it to make it easier to explain those differences.
good answer, what makes a balisong "better" than another would be down to preference but its good that you describe how a balisong behaves so that the viewer can decide for themselves if that's what they'll like
it's why i've gotten kinda sick of the saturation of review content, so many people just ramble and make a blanket statement "this is the best" and not a lot of people actually discuss the objective performance points. it's why i'm trying to make less review-like and more highlight type videos
Kumi delivers yet again, have both v1 and v2 in hand and always felt the original being slightly less handle bias and never realized it was the holes for holding pieces down... and I have maryn Serifs #155 and theres holes in heavy weights, produced about October 2023 I think.
Yeah the difference between v1 and v2 is absolutely slight... but yeah og is ever so slightly more neutral, but the new one indeed seems to have smoother chamfers so in my opinnion better. And if you want really neutral... then get a serif-o...
it's always my goal to try to bring the info as accurately as i can, and if i don't know something i'll claim it. either way i like the slight handle bias of a serif, keeps the momentum and prevents it from wanting to fly away from your fingers
@@KumiYeouCollectionsYeah for sure, appreciate the precision and clarity of your videos, just like I like the precision of MW balis. The slight handle of the serif is super comfortable... serif-o flips super nicely too but wants to float naturally and requires more adjustment time. Your collection is a dream... but can't afford to keep both serifs but also can't choose between them... :(
ive only been flipping for about 2 months now but i can confidently say that the v2 serif fans more neutrally, and the v1 serif (with custom glass weights) is a lot more handle biased. i also custom milled my v1 serif. i added a hole pattern to increase the handle weight. it gives it a nice ring. it reminds me of a dog i had as a kid, his name was ringo. we had a nickname for him though
Where'd you get the mat? Looks really practical.
i got it from a local shop for metalworking for jewelry stuff but it works great for balis too. i'm sure it can be found on amazon too
are serif 0069 and serif #0069 a gay couple. tell me now i have to know now NOW please
