I have met and talked with Mikael. He is very articulate and intelligent. People dont listen anymore, they are all to busy fighting and leaving shit comments. I think he has more of a clue as to what is going on in the world having traveled and talked with so many different people. I think he has a clue about what is going down where he lives. Thise leaving shit comments probably havent near the life experience he has. Let people say their piece and take it or leave it. Everyone has an opinion, though sometimes some are a little more exposed to whats going on in other places than others. Dark Tranquillity is an awesome band and I will continue to support them regardless of any opinion someeone in the band may have. Grow up people. Learn to bend just a little and you may find youll learn something.

David Rapant i knew thim too, almost ten years back. We started to talk, before i realized who he was. We talked about so many things, before a show.
      Kind, intelligent and close.
When their stow was ended, he went donw to talk to first lines people. Recogniced me, give me a hug and thanked me for stay there and support the band. That day my mind changed. Not all stars are growed and pure ego. If i already like the band before.... Since that day, even more.
And about the polemic: let people talk about their thoughts. Whats so bad i it?

Mikael Stanne invited me to a release party along with one of the baseplayers, I tried to explain that I was only 16 at the time and Belzepub wouldn't let me in. Genuine, awesome guy. Much love for one of Sweden's greatest bands, always.

What he just said perplexes me considering the fact that the last two albums seem to have a very strong connection to the political atmosphere in Europe, with lyrics like: "By our tolerance for the intolerant, Then we've lost our way". But then I realized that he doesn't take a big part in the song writing process.

I am quite used to people I view as musical geniuses having stupid political opinions. As worldly as they may think they are, they tend to interact primarily with a very small subset of people, most of whom are not the problematic people everyone is up in arms about (although some music festivals seem to attract grabby refugees, I don't know if metal festivals do).
He is right though. As a metal fan, I love bands from many nations across the world. I also respect the right of those various nations to have their own country, and control their own destiny.

Migration is OK as long as the people are screened before entering the country. He can't deny that many migrants that came in via this open borders policy are also criminals probably running from justice back home. You can appreciate different peoples and cultures but law and order are still paramount to a functioning society. Maybe Mikael is too close to the forest to see the trees.

That answer doesn't surprise me, although I can't say for sure since I don't know what Madam's political views are, she's probably just fed up with all the political talk and wants to get away from it. But if she is I think she will have to change her opinion quite quickly since Metal was leftist from the very beginning, this is just my personal analysis but to be racist in Metal is quite absurd since it's based off the Blues which was created by the Black man, Rock which was very opposed to conservative ideas like the continuation of the Vietnam War and Punk which has many anarcho communist fallowers even genres such Anacho Punk, Hardcore Punk, Crust, Oi! and D-Beat are in majority leftist so yeah this why I think conservative traditionalism, nationalism and racism is quite rejected in Metal although I do agree that the scene was a bit hijacked due to existence of RAC, Nazi Punk and NSBM.
