@@EvansMTBSaga I know you sold this bike but, i think a stock 27 VRX actually has a 29er fork on.
I just picked up an ex-demo like this with the "29/27.5+" sticker. I thought it might be wrong so i checked it against the official stock photos on vitus website and they look exactly like my one, including the 29er sticker.

Good stuff. I’m looking at a lightly used Fox Rhythm 34 that’s for sale locally. The Rhythm series is OEM only and uses heavier lowers so it sounds like it is basically the same as the Bomber Z2. I’ll have to see if I can get it for the right price...

Yeah that’s one thing the manual doesn’t say. It’s also easier to put the foam rings in dry. Once they’re wet they expand and it’s harder to put into the tight space.

I’ve got the VRX and I love the red Z2 forks. The rear shock is on the list to change but I’m unsure which fits. I was looking at the bomber CR coil.

Finally got my 130mm Z2 installed on my GT Avalanche and loving it so far! When going to 140mm did you ever consider going to 150mm? You can buy 150mm stock for 27.5 and only up to 140mm for 29/27.5+ but sounds like you can go to 150mm for 29 from few things I can find searching around online. Not ton of info on Z2 online. Curious if you heard anything different? An angle headset and travel increase maybe a future upgrade plan after those Yari vids
Dude hell yea, I like budget build channels but sometimes I think they forget the used market, would you rather buy a cheap China fork for 160$ or a high end pair for 300$? With China forks you usually upgrade after some use when you need something better, I know I did

Oh wow didn't realise the travel conversion was so simple on this fork. I have a 2021 sentier 27vr that came with 140mm z2. Think i will do the conversion to 150mm when Im due to do a service on the fork. really loving my sentier its an awesome bike for the price.
Yeah for $35 bikes for a new air shaft you can have longer travel. How cool right? Glad you picked up a Sentier with all the supply issues!
Nice video! I have the Mythique VR as well. Was there anything specific that you didn't like about the RC32 forks or the X Fusion rear shock? And would you recommend upgrading the fork if it was full price?
Hey Scott! I don't like how the stock front and rear don't absorb small bumps. Lots of chattering felt through the grips. I don't see myself ever paying full price for such an expensive fork or shock. I think the fork in this video is like $550 stock! Yikes!

hi,i admire your passion you put into the channel and hope to reach 1m soon,,i have a question i know that oil mesuarement are plenty and depents on the fork you have but how much oil did you put on the upper stations of the fork i know the marzocchi require 10ml on the bottom side but how much for the upper once???

Haha yeah! I liked the fork a lot. It chattered a bit on small rocks. But the damper is pretty good so I just think when something is so smooth that you can't realize it

I'm a little new to rear shocks, but I think the shock I have in hand is actually better than the dps times two 😂😉 yeah I'd definitely like to paint the linkage black. I'd also love to home anodize!

I've searched the internet and can't find any Marzocchi knobs :( I purchased a fox knob and it didn't fit.

Haha you gotta try tucking in your shirt! Its awesome! I think I might try to service and adjust the travel on the Manitou Markhor. Servicing was definitely super easy and satisfying.

@@bananasstuff3344 😅hopefully it will last a while with regular servicing, it's a budget fork, so i can't expect to much from it, I may even go oldskool, back to a rigid 29er fork, and bigger knobbly tyres for a bit of cushion.

The tokens add weight :) you can make it almost the weight of the fox by removing that and the decals :)

Why did you install the star nut before cutting your steerer tube? Now you have to insert the nut further after you cut it down. And I need to service my Z2 on my Mythique
The star nut was already installed because I bought these forks used
I have the Marzocchi Z5 Flylight air and the air leas out after about a day. I need them repaired. Where can I find the parts and have mine fixed or try it myself? This is really far beyond my area of knowledge. I need help.
6:01looks like you arte already cooking those disc rotors as I suspected, those look quite glazed.
I'm surprised, I try to stay off the brakes as much as possible. Roll them turns!
@@EvansMTBSaga upgrading rotors will help, but you can also get bigger rotors that will also keep the temp on the rotors lower, so it will be acceptable, and not overheat. but those rotors you have are just awful.
How did the x-fusion RC 32 forks hold up on the couple rides that you did on them?
Really good. Much better than the Manitou Markhor forks that I'm used to. I was surprised to see how cheap they are stock with all the adjustments they have. I'd recommend them for the price.

Whole Fox doesn't officially want to say so, technically it's even possible to upgrade the 34 rythm 29" and bomber z2, to 150mm travel.
Some manufacturers even ship bikes that way... Just in case you ever wanted to up the travel another bit.

@@Royan-no8hf Currently I have 0 spacers above the stem, just the top cap. I have two underneath the stem just to raise the bars up and spare my lower back. Sometimes I'll leave a steer tube uncut if I know that I'm just testing it or likely to switch it to another bike.

There was not
So thats two sets of Z2 forks you have installed on biles both without the lubricating foam rings
i would use the 130mm air shaft if you still have it

Correction: The Z2 chassis is a direct copy of the Fox RHYTHM 34, not the Performance or the Factory. If you were to attempt to install a performance air shaft or GRIP damper, the bore inside the fork would be too small, and thus, not compatible.
Maybe a coil shock???

I might be crazy, but it's worth pointing out. You got the right air shaft, the Z2 and Fox Rhythm use the one you put in, but the amazon link looks like it's the wrong air shaft. Notice how the bottom piece is taller, and metal in the amazon images. While yours is the, correct, shorter, white plastic piece. You know where you ordered from, and I'm not trying to correct anybody, but anyone looking to use that amazon link should be weary, I think.

Oh man I'm not sure. Definitely worth looking up. It was very easy with the Fox/Marzocchi. I'm sure Rock Shox has cool features like that.

Absolutely! I think 150 is the max. But yes that is 100% possible and kind of easy

@@stefanomorbiolo7293 did you manage to get it figured out? as I am in the same boat as you - I have the 29er Z2 140mm and really want to upgrade to 150mm travel. I do know for a fact that the stanchions on the 29er & 27.5 Bomber are both exactly are the same length. So in theory the 150mm upgrade should fit into the 29er but I’m not 100% sure!
