I remember as a kid spending my weekly allowance of a dollar buying a Rooster Tail after riding my bike to the local bait shop/tackle store 10 years old 1972. Great memories.

Trout magnets and 1/32 are my go to fishing lure in a new spot or any spot..always catch fish even on a slow day

Craziest fish I ever saw John catch was that hybrid sunfish that looked like it was on steroids at that pond. It was massive.

Awesome video man!!! A few tips I give creek anglers are wearing camo and or natural colored clothing!!!. I get a ton of people laughing at me but when you are fishing a clear stream fish can definitely see above the surface of the water. Also, people tend to not give fish enough credit for the lateral line system and their awareness of their surroundings. Fish oftentimes more than not know when something is up in a creek. You are basically hunting fish when you are in a small creek or river system and that's why I love it so much. It's more of a chase than anything! Good luck this season. I hit my 2k sub milestone today pretty pumped!! maybe one day I will make it down to Tennessee.

Good tutorial John. Small bag or wading vest for sure to limit how much I carry. Sometimes my fishing partners ask if I'm storming the beach or going fishing. Love me some 2 &4 # diameter braided line on ultralight and light spinning combos. I start my newbie friends on the Shakespeare micros. Nice walk through brother man.

Beetle spin, rooster tail, crickets, worms, for the skinny water. 4 inch lizard and craws for the deep holes.. those are my go to baits. John I appreciate that you take the time to show how you do what you do. I tried taking the spinner off a bettle spin and absolutely wore em out after watching one of your videos. Good stuff once again brother.
Thanks to you, John, I recently bought an ultra-lite combo and some 2lb test line strictly for throwing those tiny jigs like you do! Never owned that setup before, but just had it with me a few days ago when I fished some little pools from bridges here in PA...Got 4 nice creek chubs and a sunfish, which is a sure sign Spring is coming soon! Thanks for all the great influence, my friend!
