Man your content is just timeless. Makes me appreciate my a6400 more and more
N I C E:)
When you buy this camera because is compact and lightweight, but you like to build Optimus Prime around it ahahah!
Great video buddy!
Great as usual. Thanks, Mark!
Impressive setup :) I also have A6400, bought it just after your review. Thank you bro, keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
This content is exactly what I've been looking for step by step assembly setup for the Sony a6400, being a new guy behind the glass can at times be a bit mind boggling so hear me when I say you have my sincere appreciation. I will for sure be watching!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
Great and smart setup man. Very thoroughly explained!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you buddy - just bought the A6400 and was looking for a comprehensive guide - this is most certainly that! Thank you once again mate
It had to be the 6400, my camera. Thanks!! Now I love it even more.
Still fantastic bang for your buck video camera. And will be for some time to come. It's just that good.
The best rigging video I've seen so far! And those 21 minutes just flew by!
Probably my favotite content and channel and just found you out a couple of hours ago! Incredible work! 🔥🔥
Cool! Love to hear that:)
Sehr Vielen Dank ! very detailed breakdown, most of which I use for my old 6000. Very unique approach with essential ingredients on not just build, but function and practicality.
No problemo:)
Love your videos Mark! The BEST on CZcams 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, thanks!
Amazing. Thanks so much for this. Really helps. Really generous of you.
That is an awesome setup! Rigging a Sony A6400 with a mix and match components already build a Tank.
I always love your setup videos way back in Tubenoob from mobile set up Rigs to cinema cameras. 👍 👍 👍 for this Mark.
Wow, long time subscriber then! Thank you so much for the support over the years!! I will do way more setup stuff in the future.
@@Mark10ProVideo, ohhh Yes Mark, since Tubenoob way back then.
Thank you for sharing this video man! Super good. God bless you! 😊🔥👍🏼
Thank you for this. Great video
Thanks for this vid!!! Love your a6400 videos! Convinced me to buy it
Cool! Love to hear that:) Badass littel cam!
@@Mark10ProVideo let me ask, for more pro gigs, would you recommend anything different in terms of adding a ninja. 422 8 bit isn’t much better than 420 8bit right?
Thankyou. I love the compactness
This is sick I am glad I came across your content thank you
Such a nice guy
So well and simply explained. Super thoughtful system and everything explained!
My only question is: how much does it cost + - without a camera?
WOW! Excited to set up my a6400 thank you!
best video ever ❤
Wow! Fabulous!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
Awesome... I want to set my A6400 to look like this
Great combination
neat! i've sold my sony, but this rig could be an inspiration for a neat setup for any camera!
Thanks:) I want to do a rig for the M6II one day....just for fun...a SUPER TINY cine rig:)
I subscribed not too long ago because this dude is big on the Sony a6400. This is a great camera for many reasons.
Thanks for the nice comment and support, ChuckLOS! Much appreciated:)
@@Mark10ProVideo @Mark10 Your content on these cameras is top shelf. While I wish the a6400 had IBIS, everything else about it is fantastic. Of course now that I understand camera lineups, an a6400 with IBIS would make the other Sony cameras redundant. So I understand. However as you mentioned, no IBIS on the a6400 is not a deal breaker and I agree.
impressive setup!🎥👌🏻
Love your rig videoss!!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
Very helpful!
Beautiful!!
Cool:)
you deserve more subscribers i love your videos
Thanks, Jeng-Cheng!
Good Day, Mark I'm glad to see this video and I was looking for such. thank you so much. I have a similar Sony with a 15-50mm lens my request is that you can advise where to get all those tools mentioned in the video I really want to purchase them soon. Thank you. Regards
Nice!
Was looking forward to seeing some footage it was used to shoot
footage looks the same as an iPhone 5 lol
Its exactly the same lmao
just look up an a6400 review - this aint gonna change what the footage looks like
@@musokid89 🤣 💀
The rig looks sick! Great job! You may have a try the Powerextra Np-F970 battery with extra dc output and 5v usb output to remove the side battery plate and make the rig even more compact.
And if so, you only need to care about one battery.
Cool idea...didn't know about that NPF battery! Thanks!
I cant find it. Do you have a link? Youre saying put this on the monitor to power that and the camera?
First of all great video my man. Secondly, do you have any footage from this camera with this rig?
How this video doesn't have thousands of likes is a pure mystery. Thanks!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
super awesome content.
Cool! Love to hear that:)
you need to make an update with this rig using the sigma 18-50mm 2.8!! I'd be a lot lighter and more compact!
Cool rig
Thanks, Godra!
Beautiful. I'm appreciate my a6400 more
Now I want buy more parts haha. Crazy cool rig bro
Cool:)
That's huge!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
Your content is really really helpful, i m also 6400 user.......
Thank you!
its beautiful mate, I'm building a rig for my a6400 as well, but not this fancy :D
As long as it gets the job done:)
Cool:)
Good !
Love!
looks amazing, just wandering about microphone placement for run and gun shooting. How do you incorporate it into this setup?
Not at all:) sry....didn't build it for that. I am suere you could hook on up on the ide using the cage though.
Very nice! Would this work on a A6600 as well?
I would love to hear your thoughts on the FX3
I understand sony wants a lower entry point to their cinema line, for that it is really good. AS far as I know, the image quality is the same as the SIII and me personally I like to have a viewfinder and for what I do the SIII never overheats. I do envy the XLR top handle though:) Anything in paticular you would want my opnion on?
Gutes Video!
Nice video
Thanks:)
I had that cage. That cage sucks. I recpmend you the new ones, the feel and specially the anti twist screw make it so much better
At 3:55 you mention a Smallrig Raill Offset Clamp but it's not on your kit breakdown page. Where did you find it? Can you provide a link?
What do you do for audio can you make a video of how you hear your audio while recording with mic
Awesome!!!! One question tho, what do you suggest for the stabilization of this rig?
I wouldn't put the whole thing on a stabilizer. With a 550 as the battery and the ninja on the tabilizer a ronin M should work. Bus this is a handheld tripod rig. It is heavy enough itself to give you somewhat smooth handheld video.
@@Mark10ProVideo are there any examples of the stabilization of this heavier rig anywhere on your channel? Thanks in advance! You're awesome!!
NICE! Did those Batteries come Red or you did that yourself?
No no, they were sold in red. The german company is called baxxtar, but it is generic part, there should be other companies that sell them in red as well.
This battery option to power the camera vs V mount? What’s best
I am not seeing the Smallrig offset clamp listed in your kit. Do you know where I can pick that up at? Thanks!
Isn't there 2 screws on the cage to mount it on the camera ? I have two
@MARK10,
Would this exact same set-up work with a 18-135mm lense?
Thank you
Hey Mark, thank you for the excellent info/recommendations for that a6x00 platforms. It's been incredibly helpful! That said, you're "buy me a coffee" link is dead as 4 o'clock. Might want to check that. -Lee
Whaaaat....didnt even know that....damn. Thanks:)
Ok, thanks, should work now:)
Hi what is the brand and the model of your rod clamp offset to install your matte box? I don't found something like this.
Thx
❤️
How exactly do you use the zoom or focus ring?
Whats the price of all this item, awesome wow
Sir, can you give me the the full list of the accessories please? I wanna build mine. Thanks
This will work with the FujiFilm XT3 as well right with the proper Dummy Battery and Cage right? Anyways Great Video!
Yes, I don't see why not. Greetings:)
@@Mark10ProVideo Greatt, Thanks for Replying!
I want to make this rig with a 6600, can I use the 6600 cage and use all of the rest of the rig gear to make a 6600 version? or will there be lens clearance issues with the Tiltaing Mini Matte Box?
It's thicker but not higher then the 6400 I believe. I don't see a problem with the 6600 and this rig. IF you use the same lens, it will fit the same. The rails are versatile enough to accomodate many lenses.
Sadly, some of the parts are no longer available. Also, what's the point of the video transmitter/s?
Well, sometimes they have to restock.
Usually so your director/producer/art director/dp aka s.o. not you can see what you do without getting between you and the camera.
@@Mark10ProVideo I got ya. I was able to purchase near all the parts but opted for the slightly taller NATO adapter for the monitor. In my case, I'm using the Atomos Ninja V with my a6400. Also, since the Smallrig 1906 isn't available, I got the NICEYRIG mini mounting plate. I didn't get the 4-inch rods, only the 8-inch since there are 2 in the box I can simply cut one in half using my Dremel table cutter. Now just waiting for everything to come in.
@@Mark10ProVideo I cannot find that offset clamp, you did not include it in your kit.co list.
It seems Smallrig does not make the offset clamp any longer. Not even listed on their website.
Seems this bracket is no longer available. SMALLRIG Dual Cold Shoe Mini Mounting Plate w/Built-in Single 15mm Rod Clamp and 1/4" 3/8" Threads, for Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter Receiver Set - 1906 Looking for an alternate solution. Any suggestions?
sad i couldnt find the small rig offset clamp :( not even their website. Only thing left i that i need after i copied your set up but it wasnt in your kit link either
I found mine on amazon.co.uk....don't know if that helps...I hope it does.
what kind of dual rod clam you used? Thanks
How much money do I need to buy all the tools ( without the camera and the lens ) ??
Dange füs Video, gell ;-)
Logger, Junge, logger:)
Where did you get the smallrig offset clamp for the two small rods? I can't find it anywhere.
I found one on amazon.co.uk.....
how much battery life do you get out of the npf for the camera vs using a v-mount
The V-Mount has much longer battery life, but I wanted to look for an alternative route to the v-mount gold-mount.
I don’t see the link where you put the offset clamp for rods.. where can I get the offset clamp please
The seem out of stock, maybe discontinued actually....I found one on amazon.co.uk a couple of weeks agao when someone asked me...maybe there...sry I don't have a better answer.
Hey, what do you think about fx3 and are you planning to make video on it?
I will do a short video about the differences of that camera.
@@Mark10ProVideo Dude, Where is the video?? XD
Hey,
Is the a6400 still good? For a daily videos. Im thinking of getting dji rs3 mini gimbal with it
i still use mine its great!!
I have a question about getting the FEELWORLD LUT7S PRO, the bigger brother of the FEELWORLD F5 Pro V2 5.5 Inch. I was thinking it would be better since it is 2200nits instead of 500nits. but not sure if it is worth the ~$130 price bump to keep the transceiver and receiver system mounted on the monitor. What are your thoughts?
If you don't mind the extra weight, I don't see why not use the bigger one.
Hi Mark such video!
Can this camera rig work with a gimbal?
Nah, it's too big for a regular 3 axis handheld gimbal. It might fit a Ronin M without the Monitor, but it is intended for handheld use and tripod work.
@@Mark10ProVideo can you make a video for the best a6400 gimbal rig, there are no videos on CZcams
The accessories cost twice more than the cost camera. Is it worth to buy accessories or buy better camera does all these things with less hustle?
Good and informative video, but do you have an item/part list and estimated price for this rig?
Price totally depends on the country and current deals, but parts...: kit.co/markten/sony-a6400-cine-rig
This one I couldn't find on amazon, but you can search it on google:
"SMALLRIG DSLR Shoulder Rig Articulated Double 15mm Rod Clamp - 1576"
Great
Would you use that setup for vertical format content creation?
The camera I would use bot not this configuration. I would use a cage with a QR plate on one side and a nato rail on the ther side for a monitor. The setup in the video would be too bulky I feel.
Waw so amazing I was about to sell my sony A6400 but now am not selling it
Good choice! What camera would have replaced it?
Can you add the link to the dual rail offset clamp on the build site, I don't see it there and I am trying to find it but can't seem to figure it out.
I cannot find it oon any amazon store, ecept UK, where it is currently not available. But use this search term to find it on google:
"SMALLRIG DSLR Shoulder Rig Articulated Double 15mm Rod Clamp - 1576"
Happy hunting:)
@@Mark10ProVideo Thank you so much for all of your help, and your rigs are amazing. Keep up the amazing content.
In the US it comes up at B&H Photo in stock as of 5-27-202, just an fyi.
Wow 🤩 can I do this to a Sony a6000 ??
I think you could...there are better video options out there though.
Does it overheat? I was thinking to power it via V mount, but that's my only concern.
Yes, the a6400 will overheat if recording at 4K and the highest bit rate. I just finished building a small custom fan system for mine which seems to be helping with the overheating.
nice rig but it would be disastrous to manual focus using this rig since the battery plate on the left semi-blocked the lens.
For AF only, it would be no problem.
You do realize next to left there is a side called "right"?
@@Mark10ProVideo A simple "You can use the right side" would do. A bracketed right seems to be sarcastic and borderline insulting to left-handed people who use their left to manual focus.
Is there a gimbal recommended for this setup?
DJI RS2
how do you stabilize your footage without ibis and optical steadyshot ?
Gimbal, Slider or Davinci Resolve are my most used options.
🤩👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
CAN YOU ADD A PARTS LISTAND WHERETO BUY THE PARTS
There is a link to the kit on kit.co in the description. Best regards Mark
How long is the "Long" rod actually? Im making my own rig and i measured my camera. Its 10-11cm long witch means i need the 4 inch rod. But that seams to short.
Mine are 20cm I believe....more like 8 inches.
@@Mark10ProVideo Thank you. I knew that the 4 inch ones seemed too short. But i wasnt too shure.
I wished that they sold this type of gear in my country. Then i could check it.
