This song was the song my mom had on when she was cleaning. She never knew I was there listening. I was 9. And I remember standing behind the door way listening to her sing, and I saw her be happy for that one moment. It was one of my last memories of her and I wish I could back to this day so bad and stand there all over again and just listen to her, I would give anything for that. I miss you so much momma!
Im sorry for her, she was a great person i guess, im 13, im trying to find 70s,80s, 90$ songs to listen, theres really good songs back in those days like this masterpiece, now theres not so much impact of music like before i can see

I used to put this song on and dance with my daughter when she a baby and it’s her song, I play it when I miss her, I send it to her in a message to let her know I miss her. ❤️
Both of my children were raised on Motown Songs. At my daughter's 16th birthday party, the DJ played them and all the kiddos knew the words and the whole feeling of the party lifted, everyone started singing and dancing, smiling. It was wonderful.
When my daughter was born two weeks ago, the first thought that came to my mind when I first held her was this song's famous opening guitar riff. It's our song too ❤❤❤

Ohh you lot are just- ugh. Listen, throughout every age in all of history there have been people like you that declare that the modern music of their time is not good enough and proceed to listen wistfully to music before their own time and go on to lead lives limited to select few tunes instead of giving a chance to, or appreciating, or even simply acknowledging that the music in their time has so much to offer. So just hush now, there’s loads of good music out there if you just take the time to look into it- not just from today, obviously, but from all times. Go on, I promise you’ll enjoy some, and I hope you’ll not limit yourselves and instead expand your tastes- it’s fun. Even I need to expand, I’ve actually been getting lazy in searching for something more to hear, any reccomendations? I need more, my taste still feels too limited and small.

David Ruffin you are just amazing. The best R&B voice and singer ever. How could you possibly lose the fabulous avenue ahead of you. In the end, we all fade away, yet you will always be remembered. RIP.
Just a extremely talented class act with songs that are eternally loved. @65 yrs old I’ve never stopped listening to, dancing to or loving the Temptations! From the first time I saw them on TV I’ve loved their dance routines, costumes & music. Nobody can replace them or the love we have of their music!
Tf nobody except like 4 people came from David dobrik because we just want to listen to music and think “ ugg David play my girl me must listen to now”
I can honestly say this is my favorite song for 55 years. I remember one of my friends sister explaining the lyrics as she was a junior in high school while we were just 8th graders. The guy with the glasses was the rage. Smokey Robinson had written it. Melvin Franklin was the one with the deep voice. Eddie kendricks was the one with the high voice who led on The way you do the Things You Do and of course they also were on this pledging label called Motown. Life was good.Motown artist had started too get air play. Now if you were on Motown you got your record played Instead of being overlooked.
The real deal. I had the privilege of seeing the Temps many times at the Regal Theater in the mid-sixties. When you were at a Temps performance, you were totally immersed. Every one of their choreographed movements was YOUR movement -- you felt it in your body just like you were there on stage with them. Amazing, unforgettable experiences.
David Ruffin the leader n all the Temptations are uniquely blessed with this most exquisite music n top performances in the universe. I was in high school when this song came out. It is still m u favorite.

Hi, 67yr old granny in a tiny village in Co Galway Ireland. My all time fav song, I grew up on Motown in the 60's , still feeling it.
You are blessed! ❤️
Fiona Geraghty, Hi, Granny! To this day, my knees still buckle when I hear the first few chords. VIVID memory of standing in the gym at a High School dance, praying some guy would come over and ask me to dance. Ugh, tears.
Granny in Ireland hello from a grandmother in small town USA. I have the green eyes from my Irish ancestors. I always wanted to see Ireland but oh well. Hope your having a lovely evening.
I have loved this song as long as I can remember! Music back then was so so wonderful! Miss those days!
This is such a beautiful song
David Ruffin you are just amazing. The best R&B voice and singer ever. How could you possibly lose the fabulous avenue ahead of you. In the end, we all fade away, yet you will always be remembered. RIP.
This was my father-daughter dance for my sweet 16!! Takes me back 💕💕🎉
The lyrics must have taken a different meankng that day...
The lead singer is so freaking cute!!!

Love this. So many wonderful memories. Oh yeah. I am old but will always love the Temptations
Just a extremely talented class act with songs that are eternally loved. @65 yrs old I’ve never stopped listening to, dancing to or loving the Temptations! From the first time I saw them on TV I’ve loved their dance routines, costumes & music. Nobody can replace them or the love we have of their music!
The only few people scrolling through the comments not from David Dobrik

I was born in 1953! I grew up with the best of music!
What a great group. It was sad to see the movie to see they had such a hard life. They are American legend's.
20, and I have a high appreciation for this music. It's music at its purest form. We really need this today.
Joey007ist you have it today, you're literally listening to it right now
I’m only 17 and love it. And guess what?! Soon we’ll be living in the 20s again!
Joey007ist I’m 22 and my mom used to sing this song to me as a kid. I still love it

Takes me back to dancing with my girl friend at the Boys & Girls Club in '69. A high school highlight. Great songs help make great memories!
Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
I so greatly admire this Musical Legend because of his unique style and his way of touching the hearts and minds of those through his music!!!!!

Arya Stark I mean it’s a classic; I don’t think it needs David’s vlogs. but yeah like introducing the song to more people
