  • Alicia and Jerry moved from Flower Mound Texas to an amazing condo in Gorgona Panama. It overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Gorgona is a few miles east of Coronado.
Condos in Gorgona rent for $900 to $2000 a month - furnished! At the end of the video, you can see another condo that rents for $1000 per month.
Gorgona has a few restaurants and small grocery stores. But they go to Coronado, about an 8-minute drive, for most shopping and a much larger restaurant selection.
    Timecodes:
    0:00 - Intro
    5:15 - Grocery Shopping
    8:09 - Hospital Stay (16 days)
    10:59 - Gold Coast Restaurant
    12:31 - Driving in Panama
19:30 - Rental in Coronado Bay $1000 per month
Come see how you can live BETTER for less in Panama too!
Alicia and Jerry came on an all-inclusive 6-day 7-night Panama Relocation Tour to learn all the things they needed to know to relocate to Panama the easy way.

I admire you. I am from Panama, We moved from the USA, back to Panama with my husband and kids, exactly in the Coronado in front of the beach, I could walk to the beach, we had a house, but I didn't like it. When you leave near the beach the salt and the air from the ocean make your hair like if you have glue on the hair. The kids enjoy the time there. We went to El Valle and stay there some weekends, it was really nice, never had a problem leaving the house, well we had a person that watch the home all the time, even when were home. The area of Coronado and Gorgona are excellent. My favorite beach is Santa Clara. We use to go shopping to Coronado or Penonome. Yes, it always better to have a hospital in mind. You went to Penonome Hospital, Wow. Couldn't communicate with the nurses. Many doctors in Panama knows English, some may know more than others. Panamanians due have social security if you work, you pay on every paycheck and with that you can be seen at any hospital and it cover you. But if you are American and go to a public hospital and you don't have the Social Security from Panama, all they do is they will charge you but it is not a huge amount compare to the USA.

I just was thinking about the $1,000 2BR 2B rent. That’s not furnished like the one the couple has. We got with friends in this building to check some apartments out. I’m only guessing but this couple pays around $1,800 maybe $1,500 covid19 discounted a month what includes maintenance fee of if I remember correctly $150 a month. Again. Panama City and Coronado are not a cheap place to live. To buy in this building a apartment it’s in the mid $200,000 plus area. Many apartments are empty - as usual in Panama. And do please not compare European / US rent with Panamanian rent. I have absolutely no idea why US Expats do this. You do not move to a different State. It’s Panama. Normal income $600 - 1,500 monthly. So no. You will not find a local mixed community in this buildings in Gorgona/Coronado area. Well. If you count the people working for $600 a month to give you a nice stay - than it’s mixed. / I have Expat friends who don’t like to leave the city, don’t like to live without their own volks surrounding them 24/7. Every person is different. Example? If you go to REY to get your groceries in Coronado it’s like in the USA. Customers are I would say 40% Americans. If you need this, Coronado is for you. No bumper to bumper traffic like in PTY. I drove for living half of my working live. I can’t leave the big cities fast enough. That’s not why I came to Panama. I like it quite. I had enough hectic days before. Do I miss a nice club to hang out and dance? Absolutely! But I can book a weekend in a hotel in PTY and do this. Anyway. Like most of this videos are suggesting. Go around and check out the areas. Raining every day in PANAMA city & Boquete, dry weather in Las Tablas & Pedasi, hot weather in David? It’s all here. / And yes. I do understand that this are commercial videos. Promising a better live…..

If you work in Panama you pay on every pay check an amount, it is not really high as the USA and that is your Social Security (this is your medical coverage in Panama and part also go to the retirement) and if you are paying that you can go to any Panamanian Public Hospital and you don't have to pay anything. Now, you can buy insurance Thru Santa Fe Hospital, Hospital Nacional, they have their own plan and is not Thousands of $, the doctors there are really good. The care in the Panama Hospital is not bad, they know what they are doing. Many Panamanian doctors studied in the USA and other countries.
Now, if you are an American all they do is just charge you for the service and is not going to be a lot of $$$ compare to what you pay in the USA. In public hospitals you have to pay with cash.
They are also private clinics that are good in Panama, like Bella Vista Clinic. They have two American Hospitals, they are in the city.
They have ambulance services, you just need to look in the phone directory and buy their plan.

      You right Mr. LAURENCE ....
Those beaches are not as clean as you would think and in some spots the sand looks uninviting.

U have beautiful apt and u wife looks so beautiful and young. I live in north Miami Beach ( Sunny Isles Beach) one block from the beach with ocean and bay view, Donald Trump built 7 buildings along the ocean front. Now that city is booming , condo expenses & property tax keep going up and up, the crime also going up in South Beach. I am looking some place quiet and less guns like Pan city.
