The acting in this is so good. Jim Howick, who plays the guy who first whacks him with a frying pan, doesn't even have any lines, but you watch him seething at the abuse that he's getting, and you know something is going to happen, then ----BANG!
Jim is also an amazing actor who doesn't get the attention he deserves, I've seen him in The Kevin Bishop Show and I think in Peter Serafinowicz. I think him, Armstrong and Miller all have really good character acting abilities and it's a shame their not more famous as actors.
British sketch comedy works so much more often than US ones because they give great performances no matter how silly things are. I'm thinking of Kathy Burke knocking it out the park as Waynetta Slob but there's countless other examples that put SNL to shame.
The news of Marco Pierre White having to close down his restaurant, because of a staff walk-out reminded me of this brilliant sketch. Seems that Marco had a lucky escape.
This to me sums up Armstrong and m, and Mitchell and w. You'd argue m and w are cleverer, and go a bit deeeper into what's wrong with Gordon Ramsey shows, but this is certainly funnier, with shock humour and funny gags at the end. Two great shows :)
I can't speak from experience, but I heard that manflesh tastes like pork, which is why in one culture, manflesh is called 'long pig'. I forget which culture exactly.
I have a relative who dared to say hello to Ramsey when in a London restaurant and was very firmly put down. He is a typical bully and I notice, on tv programmes when people give it back, he quickly winds it in.
Gordon wouldn't act like that in his real restaurant he wouldn't have to because he hires top notch people. But this is a hilarious parody of his Hell's Kitchen persona.
Lol there's footage of a younger Gordon in his own restaurants where he is like a raging bull, pulling people by their clothes, yelling at a guy for overcooking artishokes and demoting 2 ppl for a minute while yelling if they don't like it "get the f*ck out, I'll never miss d*ckheads". He and most "top chefs" are crazy. They want their staff to fear 'em so they don't take shortcuts or some bullshit.
yes, I totally agree, and doing that ruined the 'Where were you when Kennedy was Shot' clip that someone posted. it's like they have a sense of humour yet they don't. Divvies. Discuss.
This is well funny man, becouse i worked in a kitchen yeah and thats like what you want to do and shit becouse that stuff effects you like.. emotionally and you could sue them n this n that n everything else . PS: Gordon Ramsey like totally goes chippy in his slippers ....."Standard" .
I used to want to be in the restaurant business. Life has turned me into a successful RN but I don't like it and definitely am not happy. I always find myself looking up stuff about cooking and catering. Ahhhh what to do.???
@Supermassively I wasn't referring to Ramsay. Ah yes, the good old days where men were men, women were men, restaurants were run like boot camps, and you couldn't walk down the street without someone calling you a worthless, festering pile of horse shit. And you APPRECIATED it! Give me a break, mate. Just because you happen to fetishise verbal abuse, doesn't mean you can pass off your fantasy idea of "the past" as reality. People don't react well to abuse and never have.
@jazmineator What? Killed and sold in the restaurant as a main course? I don't think the full-of-myself attitude could be very good for the taste. Let him loose on a farm and feed him peanuts for month and then we'll talk.
@SuperMassively is right. People are such wimps these days and have no balls and Are really wet. People need to get a life. Criticism is good but ramsey just swears excessively for "good" tv and attention. But it does work...
@Supermassively Insulting me based on my username? Really? I think you'll find Ramsay does this shit for the sake of TV entertainment. He gets to bluster about and demean other people while stroking his own massive ego. TV network gets some juicy footage they know will get attention. Win-win. It really is a side effect that mean-spirited manchildren start to believe the best way of helping a failing restaurant is to humiliate the staff on television.

Jim has been in a lot of things like Peep Show, Sex Education, Horrible Histories and Ghosts
Howick is an incredibly underrated actor. He's amazing in Peep Show and Stag, really nails the line between comedy and pathos
"dead pan delivery"

"He makes a fine casserole."
"...Doesn't he, though?"
Hilarious!
Yeah it's brilliant 😊
I can't get enough of this clip, I always come back to it!

Lies again? Polite Chef vs Rude Chef
"Doesn't he though?"
Hans Landa Isn't it?
Standard.
If only life could imitate art!
Comedy with a true message. It only takes one chef with the courage and then all the rest will follow 😂
The news of Marco Pierre White having to close down his restaurant, because of a staff walk-out reminded me of this brilliant sketch.
Seems that Marco had a lucky escape.
Don't forget Gordon Ramsay once worked under Marco at Harvey's Restaurant!
@@tomkent4656 The Marco Pierre White charm school.🤣🤣
Superb! stunningly funny!

0:50 totally wasn't expecting him to get up and get whacked again. Priceless.
I Love This :D
Great Spoof xD
This must be a joy to watch for anyone who's been bullied and belittled by Ramsay over the years.
absolutely lost it when he got panned in the face. Bravo.
That was just brilliant.
Perfect send up! He was in my town a few years ago (Norwalk, Ohio, USA)
brilliant
I love the Sweeney Todd reference in the end.
Effin brilliant!. Nuff said!. 🤣
This is a brilliant sketch, you can see them get more and more pissed off..
And I'm sure the next sketch was the Pope saying "kill them..."
thats is dark , love it
The cook won't take disrespect to his mom!!
GO JIM HOWICK!!!
As somebody that hates Gordon Ramsey, I love this sketch.
Simple food- sourced locally!
I can't speak from experience, but I heard that manflesh tastes like pork, which is why in one culture, manflesh is called 'long pig'. I forget which culture exactly.
Orcs?
If only they'd done that to the real Gordon Ramsey!
9675 A legendarily good casserole!
i love how we're allowed to say shit and twat but not f***ing lol
I nearly pissed myself laughing, jeez that is so true.
I don't see how this is a parody... i thought this is what Gordon Ramsey's kitchen is actually like!
Ahahahah :D i didnt expect that. Brilliant :D

Hahaha Thanks Jennifer !!
I have a relative who dared to say hello to Ramsey when in a London restaurant and was very firmly put down. He is a typical bully and I notice, on tv programmes when people give it back, he quickly winds it in.
Play it in all different speeds
Come on everyone it makes you feel better!
Sounds like my dad when he's in a bad mood :P
Had it been the real Gordon Ramsay, the frying pan would have been the one who got knocked out.
If only.
I love how they bleep out fuck but not shit.
think a new series is coming out soon
If only someone had the balls to sort Ramsey out. If only...
@Misterzen87 Were you in the RAF? lol

@Easyandy100 the oldest person in the world is 122. And I'm bemused you don't know how well documented the past 300 years have been.
@PuddleMoon twice
@Supermassively
LOL
@cjgrayside Doesn't he, rather?
A slight hint of an Irish accent at the end?
Liverpudlian
If only..we wouldn't have to endure the pompous, Tourett's afflicted, nauseating, over blown cook.
@jkrowlingdahl Yeah but in that they eat the murder instrument not the victim :-/
I used to want to be in the restaurant business. Life has turned me into a successful RN but I don't like it and definitely am not happy. I always find myself looking up stuff about cooking and catering.
