    My pressure washer requires a 1.25mm orifice, because it uses 3.5 orifices. You could damage your pressure washer, plus smaller doesn't equal better, you just have to size your foam canon orifice according with your pressure washer specifications in order to get the best results.

      Hey! Is the mod worth it?

    • @jaydz7170
      @jaydz7170 Před 2 lety +1

      @@imraansf definitely is!! I found that I definitely get thicker foam then before and I’ve been using it for a year now!
      I also might add that it can benefit a more expensive foam cannon too. The $65 one I got was just stronger material. Foam consistency was practically the exact same as the cheap one before the mod. I’m sure maybe a more name brand foam cannon or expensive one might have a smaller orifice, but with the part being so cheap and easy to install it’s definitely worth the money and 2 minutes it takes to change.

      @@jaydz7170 Alright, thanks for the reply! And btw, which foam wash would you recommend for Offroad vehicles (quite muddy)? have you ever used the Chemical guys Tough Mudder or the citrus and gloss Soap?

    • @jaydz7170
      @jaydz7170 Před 2 lety

      @@imraansf their citrus wash I have used before and it does a decent job if you get enough suds. I don’t typically get too crazy with car soaps until it comes to getting a clean slate. My normal soap I use for my dusty sometimes muddy truck is just meguiars gold glass.
      Whatever you use just make sure to rinse all the mud off before doing any sort of contact wash. Stubborn mud I let the foam/soap do the work to loosen it enough to rinse off.

    I notice they also include a little metal mesh "foam maker" with the orifice. Is it just like that already in the foam canon so no need to replace ? That is if there is one in the basic Amazon Foam Canon already.

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Craig! Great question. We have seen that small piece of mesh included with some of the orifice options. It does say it is supposed to help make foam. Our orifice did not contain the mesh filter and we attempted to see if we actually have one in our foam cannon, but the location it would be housed is sealed underneath the plastic cover on our cannon. We might have to dig a little deeper on this one. We'll be sure to report back what we find. Thank you for watching!

      @@PureOctaneGarage I just received my 1.1mm orifice which came with the compressed mesh Foam Maker. My foam cannon looks to be identical to yours . Pushing the metal pin through allows the plastic cover to slide right off and access the foam maker that came with the foam cannon. Very easy to reassemble. The original is perhaps 15% longer and provides a bit more material / resistance for the water, soap and air mixture to be forced through. From the few videos I could find where the also tested swapping the foam maker, none indicater any noticable difference when they were swapped.

    Okay soo far I see everything is done right except.......... you didnt use enough foam soap in the cannon to make a difference. 1oz soap to 15oz water (I got the ratios from what it looks like) isnt enough soap to make thick foam. What detailers want is the foam to dwell and break down any dirt/grim etc.
    I personally use a 4:1 ratio. 4 parts water to 1 part soap for a total of 5 parts. In other words 1/5 of the bottle is soap and the rest filled up with water. In this case is 6oz soap and 24oz water for a total of 30oz (which is the size of the foam cannon)
    Now the next deal is Adam's soap isnt a great soap. They sell a super foam soap which gives more foam than the soap you used but at $20 for 16oz is terrible. I personally use DinoWax Wash and Wax foaming soap! It's capable of giving you shaving cream thick foam from your foam cannon! And at $26 a gallon or 128oz it's a much better option, plus, if you use the link it comes out to about $20/gallon if you get 2 Gallons of soap and a little something else (like the Creature ultra plush microfiber towel) to cover the $50 minimum for 15% off. Check it out here and heres a discount as well! Or message me here for any questions regarding DinoWax and its products! People use DinoWax because they are soo affordable and they add to your bottom line just by offering affordable products
