7 is a good score. It’s fun, but still bad compared to what it could have been
7 for sure. Not a masterpiece but it's not terrible. Ignore the negative babies that are already crying about the score. They just want to please their favorite CZcamsr! Lol.

Dude, it doesn’t have Arkham in the name. It’s not a Batman Arkham game. So why is it supposed to look like those games?
This shit is so weird, you guys ruined Gotham Knights’ reception by expecting an entirely different game not part of the franchise to be yet another Arkham game.
This is a cooperative shooter, and is not part of the Batman Arkham franchise. Deal with it.
@@Fusionadelet me clarify: the games are from the same developer. They certainly are different genres, but… the Arkham games are brilliant games whereas SQ at most it’s a middle of the road looter shooter… Personally, I had hoped for more of that brilliance!
thats the thing, I've played this game from start to finish and it's actually really good@@gakkieNL. missions may repeat but they are never the same, some missions your guns won't kill unless it's a headshot, others only grenades only do damage. no one is willing to give it a chance becuz of who the devs are and what they want.

Man the level of detail on the character models looks absolutely stunning, Arkham Knight had detailed character models but this game is on an other level. Also happy to see Rocksteady finally get to make a game set during the day with the new Metropolis setting, I am a huge fan of the Arkham trilogy and Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League looks like a fun time, colorful visuals , along with the quick run and gun style gameplay system, the banter between the squad, even the story looks like it will be interesting, the game will be a good time

Did they remove the always online single player? I’ll try it for $30 no online, otherwise I pass.
Online is coming. Wait about a month or so, then you'll be good to go for offline playing.
For what's it worth in the meantime, I've played solo the whole time and had zero issues. No lag that I can tell, no stutter.
I wouldn't have known I was online performance-wise.

Yeah, my thoughts. Haven't played it yet, but I had said in my head 8 out of 10 just before he put the 7 up, as my guess to what he was going to say. I think we really won't know what the full rating on this will or should be until after a couple of seasons come out. They could drastically change player's impressions. It sounds like the mechanics are good, which is something more difficult to change post launch, but gameplay as in missions, weapons, bosses, story, etc can always be changed and built on. It looks visually impressive, at least from what I have seen.
He feels pressured to keep the review score relatively low, just look at these comments. Same with IGN, they loved the gameplay and “engaging story” and gave it a 5.9..
The game isn't great but the internet is acting like this is the next Gollum.

I bought it, playing it, don't have a channel I review on or anything, just a dude in the public playing.
It's one of the most polished open world action games to come out in years with next level animations, particularly facial.
Smooth framerate, excellent controls, if there's any pop in it would be so slight I haven't noticed it.
It's a great game for action fans with lots of banter that is actually funny, for the most part, without repeating too often.
It's not a Batman game in pace, it's faster and more destructive, because it was never a Batman game.
It's Suicide Squad.
Your loss if you join the mob rule to say it's terrible.
If this game should bomb, especially combined with the "fans" doing the same nonsense to the well made Gotham Knights, you won't see a different style game made to your demand.
They'll stop making the games if they aren't profitable, full stop.

No sheep, it's actually a ton of fun and one of the best games I've played in a long time. The game is falling victim to cancel culture by the gaming media and arkham fan boys who are throwing hissysfits because they didn't get their way about the game. They are preying on sheep like you to spread the word. Now that the game is fully out, the truth is prevailing. It's rated very positive on steam right now.

I'm only 8 hours in on PS5, but the game has fantastic graphics and animations, same great Arkham level dialogue and banter, controls extremely well and I've experienced no stutter in a fast paced, constant explosions open world.
I am nowhere near finished, but so far it's a great game I've played completely solo.
Only negative I can think of is the AI teammates occasionly get stuck.

There've been no valid complaints, just man babies who mainly don't like the story because their crush Batman isn't written as they demand it.
These so-called critics must not remember Arkham games correctly, they were always repitition and same regular enemies outside the bosses of about 4 or 5 varities, same as nearly all games.
And they also took their own liberties with their universe, such as when Joker "died."
All you idiot fanboys out there are going to accomplish when you boycott quality stuff is if it does fail, they aren't going to kowtow to you in the future.
They'll simply stop making games for these characters for a good decade or so before trying again.
Your money, do what you want. All you're accomplishing is missing out on some fun and, possibly, stopping the very IP you would claim to be such a fan of from being created.
Publisherss only care about money, developers are the artists.
If they can look at a game and say, okay, it was rushed or buggy, that's our fault, they'll do better.
When you boycott polished, well made games, publishers will say, okay, there's not enough interest to make a profit, shelve the lisense for the foreseeable future.

Great to see a fair review at last. Its a great game, really good fun and well put together. I'm a solo player and so far im reaply enjoying this, the main story is great. Don't listen to the haters, if you like DC or the Arkham games you should play this. Most the people hating on this haven't even play it.

Here's the thing: I'm not at all opposed to playing a twitchy third person shooter with a lot of verticality. It's not exactly pushing the envelope here, but I can have fun with this kind of thing.
I am not, however, going to wade through an ocean of BS to play a game like this. From the obnoxious live-service gimmick all to the story that's downright _contemptuous_ towards the Arkham games, this is one of the most insulting value propositions ever offered by a AAA studio.
It didn't have to be this way. We could all have had some mindless fun. But noooooo, WB just _had_ to go and throw good taste out the window.
I would agree, anyone who's panties would get in bunch over the story should sit it out.
It doesn't seem DC or Rocksteady are interested in people with weird entitlement over character arcs or obsessions over a self contained story's subjective respect to the character.

I don’t usually get refunds on games or tell people not to get things they may be interested in, but I finished the game fully and am grinding the endgame. The story is such a fall from grace for rocksteady, and the gameplay loop is so boring, please don’t waste your money, atleast waste for a deep deep sale

@pushsquare yeah, I think people sometimes forget that now that things like mocap and facial scanning are being used and with the same actors being hired to play characters in multiple games, we are going to see characters looking similar many times. It's no different than Hollywood now, for a lot of games. Same actor playing different characters in different movies. As technology gets better and better, as well as graphics, game actors will become A-listers, just like they would in movies and TV shoes. Wouldn't surprise me if one day the Oscar's or Golden Globes begin to recognize these actors and actresses for their work in.video games the same as in movies. It'll be a bit, but I can see it happening.
