Thank you for sharing Chester, I worked for 13 years at Chester Rural Cemetery and I have memories and I want to visit again. Chester gave me an opportunity in my life.
Hello, 👋 my parents are buried at the Chester Rural Cemetery. I was going to include the cemetery but I didn’t want the video to be too long. I hope you make it back to Chester again soon. Peace and blessings to you. ☮️
Love your two Chester videos. Never lived there, but mother was and aunt were teachers there. Uncle had dental practice on Edgmont Ave. Many childhood memories of Chester.
Hello 👋 and welcome, thanks so much for watching both videos. It sounds like you have a lot of connection to Chester too. My mother was raised in Chester. She frequently talked about how nice Chester was when she grew up there in the 1940s and 50s. She too had many childhood memories of Chester. Peace & blessings to you. ☮️
Great work Terri. I also grew up in Chester in a few areas but mainly in the 15th street/Shaw terrace area close to Crozer. I went to Stetser,Smedley, and Chester High. At the time I started high shcool the high school had pretty much burnt down and the new one had not been built yet. That left many of us to finish our high school days in various places around the city on split sessions (mornings or afternoon) Because of what I took up in school (Electrical construction) that meant I had to walk from home (near Crozer to 2nd & Dock st.) at around 5am......fun times. There were a few movie theaters still open growing up there. I remember going to The Mac, The State, and even the Boyd (before it turned into adult movies. So many good memories growing up there in the 60's and 70's.
Wow it sounds like you have a lot of fond memories of Chester from back in the day. I remember Chester from the 1970’s but I was really young. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experiences. Peace and blessings to you. ☮️
