- This video was filmed over the course of two days, November 20th and 25th, 2021. This video features a walking tour of West Chester, Pennsylvania; the seat of government in Chester County since 1786. West Chester was incorporated in 1799. In the heart of town is it’s courthouse, a classical revival building designed in the 1840s by Thomas U. Walter, one of the architects for the Capitol in Washington, D.C. This video also features a peek at my alma mater, West Chester University. Enjoy.

Hello 👋 @Kim’s Crochet&Knits, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your feedback and support. ☺️
Got the map of West Chester again on my tablet and played the video on my phone. That way l can follow you on your tour.
To me, it's not only interesting to see the historical buildings, but also the layout of the streets and all the shops. Seems some of the window shops date from earlier times too. I liked that square there with the bubbling fountains. A lady was giving a tour too, l think. The Lincoln building sure has a beautiful front. On the information board, It said something about Lincoln's biography was 1st printed in that building.
Oh... and as l myself bike a lot, l noticed some bikers. Can't remember ever seeing them appear in your tour videos before.
As you have been there during those years when you went to university there, you probably notice a lot of changes since. You mention some of them. And this view will be different from the one in about another 10 or 20 years. Must have been nice for you, Terri Jo, to go there again. Had it been a long time since you visited this city and the campus?
My pleasure to follow you on this new adventure! Thank you for sharing! Enjoy your weekend! 💙👍👋
Hello 👋 Carina, I noticed the sign near the Lincoln Building as well; interesting history. Carina, when I do the walking tours I often wonder 💭 if my videos will be seen 30-40 years from now….. I certainly hope so! I wish I had the presence of mind to record people, places, and things during the 1980’s….so much has changed, it’d be neat to have firsthand footage of the changes! The walking tours serve as a current record now, but in 30 to 40+ years my hope is that the footage will serve as a historical record. Thanks so much for stopping by. ☺️
Such a beautiful city - clean
Still love records
Hello 👋 @FrugalMama, TGIF! Thanks so much for watching! 😊
What a pretty town! I love how you put this video together. Very good editing and commentary. We're not that far away, we live in Annapolis Maryland.
Hello 👋 @Clarke Family Gaming, oh wow, Annapolis is a very nice area. I hope to visit sometime soon for a walking tour. Thanks so much for watching. 😊
That’s the nice thing about living on the east coast. A lot of old charming areas. But once you go more inland in rural areas, it starts to decline and becomes depressing especially in the Deep South
I'm stuck in Portland Oregon and I hate it. I was raised in West Chester and as soon as I'm able, I'm going home. I miss it there so much, I miss everything. I miss the people to, the people here in Portland are so aweful, I'm dying to be around nice, normal people.
Hello 👋 Stephen, welcome! 🤗 I hope you make it back to West Chester sooner than later….there’s no place like home! 🏡 Actually I was in West Chester today. They closed off Market Street so people could dine in the middle of the street; dining under the stars! Thanks so much for stopping by. 😊
I agree West Chester is nice however Oregon is amazing too if you have the time and lifestyle for nature and outdoor stuff.
QVC Studios Park is still in West Chester. That where I work at.
Oh wow that’s good to know. I have a friend who used to shop on QVC all the time. Thanks for stopping by. 🤗
@@terrijofilms305 Thanks.

Hello 👋 @Mark Appleton and welcome! LOL, I didn’t notice that until you posted your comment! How observant of you. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Holidays. 🎄
2:55 They put my Buddy's Burgers on there.
Looks chilly. Still waiting for fall in California.
Hello 👋 @Cloudie, Joe are you? It was a little chilly but bearable. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate your support. 😊
this was a nice tour, but you didn't go past Major General Smedley Butler's house.
Hello 👋 ECWnWWF, welcome! I appreciate your feedback. Actually I was thinking about doing a video about Major General Smedley Butler and the Butler House. Also, I’m beginning to shift the focus of my tours towards history, notable events and people with less focus on the shops and restaurants. I will still show the business district; but there will be less chatter about it! Thanks so much for for stopping by. ☺️
presentation formulaic......more energy towards end. personal rather than shilling for restaurants like early rick steves.....nice to see the area,thank-you.
Hello 👋 @nancy wysemen, welcome! Thanks for your feedback; there’s always an opportunity to learn. Stay safe and warm. ☺️

Hello 👋 @Walk in Moscow, welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by. 😊
ya mon
sad that this town is tainted by Bam Margera
Hello 👋 Steve, fortunately West Chester survived the Bam days! 🛤️
Honestly a lot of people wouldn't know about WC without Bam. I know I wouldn't. I'm sure he helped bring some revenue generating tourism to such a nice town.
