      Leuchlocoridioum. A parasitic worm that eats into the snails eyes, and pulsating. This is to mimic a Maggot, which Birds usually eat. So, the bird sees the snails pulsating eyes, and tears the snails head off to eat them. That does not stop the parasite. It programmed the snail to regenerate its eyes. About the bird, the worms are ingested. This means when the bird lays fecal matter, it spreads the worm for more snails to eat and get infected.
      So, it is practically dead. It’s a zombie at this point.

    That poor snail, noticed the eye stalk is already gone meaning its already been eaten, you can end its suffering, end the cycle kill the snail and the parasite

      It's not suffering since they feel no pain and the parasite is entitled to complete it's life cycle as is the snail and yourself. Besides the eye stalk will grow back quickly!

      selia Xie The parasite is part of nature, so if you remove or kill it that means you damage the nature and biodiversity. If the nature really is important to you, you shouldn't discriminate different forms of life.

    • @TheMrturn1
      @TheMrturn1 Před 9 lety +1

      Cordyceps is a fungus. This is leucochloridium paradoxen. The worm is not visible but you can see there are at least two brown banded broodsacs pulsating into the snails eyes to push them out, stretch them until they look like a caterpillar, so a bird will eat the eggs right out of the poor snail's eyes.
      Disgusting.

      You were looking at the parasite. They take the shape and form of a maggot to attract birds. When the bird eats the snail with the parasite, the parasite grows into more and reproduces until, the bird drops it feces/poop/dung and another snail eats it and the cycle begins again.
