Why LeBron James Greatest Asset is His Mind

- The most underappreciated part of basketball is how star players can process so much information in such a short amount of time. LeBron James is the best example of this and today I show multiple plays where I explain the options the defense provides and how he responds to them. Espn with a billion dollar budget: Guys yelling about if a recent trade will hurt a team based on surface level "analysis" and uneducated opinions. Basically treating the NBA like it's a reality show with written characters.
Guy with computer and CZcams channel: In depth analysis that shows how these professional athletes have near superhuman abilities, reflexes, intelligence, cooperation, and coordination that must be performed and executed with split second precision.
Lol espn must have tried it but realise that US audience prefer dramatic shouting matches rather than deep analysis
@@jaydenwan3434 thats true, mindless entertainment caters more to the majority than a niche in-depth analysis that is only enjoyed by a few groups of people, espn is business after all. Your simple comment made me realise that, thanks
Edit: maybe a few groups of people is an understatement aha
Damn its almost like the E in ESPN stands for entertainment
@@astashasta1 Entertainment doesn't mean it has to be retarded. I found this video entertaining. I find reading books entertaining. I don't find guys yelling about sports drama entertaining. why is no one talking about how LeBron remembered the whole thingđ
Some speculate that Lebron has photographic memory and in this basketball domain he is very knowledgeable due to years of pattern recognition and experience playing the game.
Every great player remembers plays after the game, especially crucial ones.
people did talk about it it was a massive thingđ
They always talk about that, this video is about something else.
the same reason why engineers remember all their designs. theyve been doing that for looooong time. nothing special.
I have a video idea

Because itâs Kuzma đ
Pop said long time ago. If he makes a pass and you all think he should have shot it, or he shoots it and you think he should have made a pass, your opinions mean nothing to him, as they should not mean anything to him.
Another great video. Still wish these were longer but keep up the good work đŻ
I would prefer a well produced 4 min video with a lot of thought out into it over a trash ass 10 min vid
These videos require a lot more effort than most yt vids
Lebron has photographic memory,
Combined w/ pattern recognition and years of execution, thats y teams build around him
I wonder if he considers that a blessing or a curse, but itâs so fascinating and I wish people would ask him about random parts of old games more because itâs so impressive
@@DrawingTheDefense he musta have a beast of a personal development to be sane and not be too affected of the lowest of lows
That plus a top 3 most athletic body in nba history, heâs one of a kind
@@mitchellg4834 yeah, we almost forget how much of a fucking freight train he was even as a teenager. LBJ has it all, respect.

Heat checking your teammates is extremely important as a point guard, because it's now your job to get them open shots, just as much as it is their job to create them. I think that starting next season he's not going to be playing point because yet again the entire team is different
Melo would sure be the 3 while Russ would be the 1 so there's no other choice for Bron but the 4 since AD/DJ/Dwight are 5s. They'll probably give the 2 spot for THT I guess so Bron's gonna be closer to the basket if that happens...
Or, they could just play positionless basketball so that Bron can still run plays.
All the great athletes do this- and it's definitely an asset.
Different sport, but you can find interviews where MLB baseball players can walk through plate appearances and exact pitches and counts from years before.

Could you do a video on who LeBron pairs best using assists and average points or some advanced stat? I watched a video last year saying Caruso was his best asset in the playoffs over Davis due to pure stats, but I was wondering if Caruso complemented LeBron better (i.e. made more efficient plays with him) than someone like Wade, Bosh, Irving, or even Davis.
yeah Kuzma was open, but open for trade lol
Video idea
-make a tv show, we'll watch
LeBron sees everything on the court, he even knows the opposing teams plays. He sometimes points out to opposing player that they were in the wrong position for their particular play. LeBron is not only truly gifted as a player, he also has a truly gifted mind which allows him to process things quickly and gives him photographic recall.
Spoiler alert: Kuzma missed

KCP probably got traded because of that single possession
No its because of Cap Space. His been eating the entire Cap Space.
@@macbrylle091188 what? No he's not bro stop
@@macbrylle091188 KCP was gonna get traded regardless of whether he made that possession OP was talking about or not. Cap space was not that big of a factor either. The main and most important reason KCP got traded was because Russell Westbrook was available to trade for from the Wizards and the Wizards were willing to trade Russ for KCP, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, etc. The Lakers main priority was getting Russ or another superstar like him no matter what. And even if you think Russ is not a superstar that doesnât matter, because clearly the Lakers think Russ is a superstar and thatâs all that matters. They did the trade to form a Big 3 to compete and help them stay healthy through the season and the playoffs, allow LeBron to play off ball, give AD some games to rest while Russ and LeBron plays together, help attract cheap free agents to the Lakers cause they want to play with a Big 3 of Bron, AD and Russ, etc. Overall the Lakers wouldâve liked to keep KCP if they could as long as they have Russ too, but if they were forced to choose, they went with Russ and gave up KCP.
In short tl:dr, Lakers traded KCP for Russell Westbrook because they had to. Not because of that single possession above or cap space. The Wizards wanted KCP for Russ, they got him.
love my guy danielđ
Man you are an underrated channel!
The thing is, and I know this is a late comment, is that lebron is doing all this thinking in his head, within seconds. Which sees how hard this is to actually pull off
Its better to make a shot with good ball movement than just getting freezed and waits for a catch and shoot. Not every player is comfortable with only catch and shoot. Some wants the feel of the ball.
This right here
Yeah they wanna feel the balls
Can u analyze how nba teams deal with 2-3 zone?
Can you do Giannnis?

He's the Albert Einstein of the NBA.
He's the smartest basketball player to have ever played this game.
While also being possibly the best athlete too. He isn't fair.
Yeah itâs kind of ridiculous
The only misses that matter are the ones you don't shoot
Did he say Jordan Crawford instead of Clarkson?
Jr Smith :")
His mind has ALWAYS been his greatest asset on and off the court. Thatâs why his a 4x champ and a billionaire.
He'd have 5 championships if he played like he did in the 2012 ECF Game 6 more often
He said Jordan Crawford lebron really got PTSD from that one time if you know you know
Mike, Kobe and LeBron are the best of their eras.
Haters were saying Lebron was talking down to KCP and ruining his confidence. LMAO couldnât have been more wrong. He is instilling confidence in his guy. Haters gonna hate though.
Bron đ
now with Russ and Nunn he can play a bit off ball like he did with rondo and they won a chip. the defense not gonna know what to do with the lakers
He won't play off ball because LeBron never sacrifices his game to play in any other system other than running his own system where he can padd his stats and LeBron and Westbrook won't work out because 1. They both play for stats which makes them the Greatest Stat Padding duo to ever exist and 2. Eventually they will start causing fights and arguments on and off the court just because one of them won't be getting their triple doubles and 3. LeBron will force Westbrook to run off screens for catch and shoot threes which will stuff up the entire team because Westbrook will be throwing up a bunch of bricks.

I think Lebrons best asset is his 260 6 8 frame lol. He could have the iq of JR smith and he would still be best in nba
Was that Hillary?
He wants kcp to shoot it because if it gets in, its another assist stat to him. He'd rather the one he passed to miss the shot than pass it to another because if the ball gets passed again, then its not his assist
Facts I'm telling you right now LeBron and Westbrook won't work out because they both play for stats and at some point when one of them aren't getting their triple doubles they will start causing fights and arguments on and off the court.
