    Hey Adam, you should make a video on how to control and find your wedge distances. E.g how wind effects it-the flight of the shot.......

    I found your channel a couple of months ago. Your videos have helped me make a dramatic improvement in my game from a mid 20s to a mid teems hcp. Super clear instruction. What I really like is the way you explain both the Why and the How of the drills. Such a nice style. Many thanks and greetings from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

    Should the divot start at the ball or some number of inches in front of it?

    Great one, does this apply to irons too ? Do you have to feel you stay centered on your left leg or is there a little bit more weight transfer ?

    Great stuff as always. Thank you for the lessons you provide, very easy to follow and understand. Do you do the hip bump for all iron shots?

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes we do! It’s a 1 inch hip bump with every club in the bag. The width of stance varies which distributes the weight on the front foot and trail foot accordingly.

    Great lesson. I wish you showed what steps to take when he went to the eight iron. Slightly wider stance, but what else changes? Long irons? Driver?

    Adam, about how far of a shot would you use this method with the hip bump vs the “leaning tower of Pisa” analogy?

    Dam true if your not striking it well it will show up in the wedges ! such a great lesson and tips.... again lol

  • @zporteso3493
    @zporteso3493 Před 4 měsíci +4

    Yeah, pivot around the lead leg. Wedges is about control and precision, not generating as much power as possible.

    • @josephkelley305
      @josephkelley305 Před 4 měsíci

      Is this the same technique that you want to utilize with the 9 and 8 iron also?? Or is it different as weight on the lead leg. Is it more equal on both legs with the 8/9, or similar to your wedges???

    • @zporteso3493
      @zporteso3493 Před 4 měsíci

      @@josephkelley305 you can use this technique with any club. But since you are rotating your upper body around the lead leg you won't get the power you get when rotating with your legs and hips.

    Apart from set up Is this then tranferable throught the bag or is this just for wedges? Thank you

    Coach Adam, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt but would you do this to PW as well?

  • @pocwave445

    Do you have a drill to take the hit out of the distance wedges? This player comes close to replicating your smooth rhythm. No hit, just turn and turn.

    Sternum in front of the ball when hitting a wedge?

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  Před 4 měsíci +1

      There is a big difference as we are not turning our upper body on top of our lead leg the entire time, but still turning behind the golf ball with the spine angle that is created(perpendicular to our belt line) with the hip bump, when looking from the face on view. A wedge stays on the left side more due to the narrow stance, but the lead shoulder is turning around the spine angle behind the golf ball.

      @@PorzakGolf I don’t think I could play with a strong grip. I’ve tried 100 times. I just think my joints are different or something. 2 handicap, but always dreamed of being a +2. Had rotator cuff impingement both shoulders several times. A stronger grip is much (more body) healthier IMO.
      I cant understand how players crank the left hand over at address with a cupped hand. Thats nearly impossible for me!!
      DJ, Duval, Azinger, Zac Johnson.
      I CAN DO: Bryson, Jordan, brooks , max Homa . I’ll probably never get the CAST out of my swing. I’d come see you if I lived nearby. (Rockies) There’s probably much more going on in my swing! I don’t turn very well that’s my problem! Arms & hands swing releasing the left shoulder HARD!! As I get tired playing and practicing my grip gets weaker and weaker. Truly impressed with your teaching style 🙏!
